Turning 20...
So I'm turning 20 this summer and I'm not liking simply because I feel damned old.
Well I'm sure this won't apply to people under 20, but I know there's got to be some people who've gone through this. Right now I feel like just lying about my age whenever someone asks for it lol, or am I just acting like a girl who doesn't want to turn old? It feels like 18 and 19 are your prime years of life, heck you get boners sometimes for no reason lol
So for those who are over 20, did anything change in your life (ie. did things differently, acted more mature etc.) or did you remain the same?

Yeah you're acting like an old lady.
What's wrong with turning twenty? Like it's the greatest you're not a "-teen" anymore.
I'm turning 23 this April.

When I turned 20 last summer I did not feel any different from before, did not bother setting any special goals or any stuff like that. I think that 18 had more of an impact on me and so will 21, because those ages are when illegal things become legal. The thing about becoming very aware of your age you are talking about, I had that back during my senior year in high school. It was really depressing realizing that the fun school days were coming to an end and I had to start worrying about life.
If you feel old at 20, wait till 24
Actually, I do feel like my life now is a lot different from the time period of 18-20. I would say 24 has been a more significant b-day than 20 was. I am officially in my mid-twenties, not early twenties eek! But i will always remember being 20 cuz 4 months after I turned 20, my grandmother died. Guess that grew me up more than my age number did.

I never really notice my birthdays anymore, they're pretty much just like any other day (I've actually totally forgotten it was my birthday a few times before, and got a bit shocked when somebody wished me a happy birthday :P ). I can tell I'm more mature now than when I was in my late teens (25 now), but it's just been a gradual change and not something sudden because of a birthday.
Suck it up. I turn 24 in one month. I don't get why people complain about their age. I bet you wanted to be older when you were a kid too :P
Why lie about your age? No one really cares how old you are except for you.
As for things changing, they didn't change because of my age, but because I wanted them to. When I was 20, I transferred from a shitty college to a good one, and changed my own life. Things only changed when I got out of college at 22, and had to start paying bills, rent and insurance and getting a job. Up until about 22 are your blissful years, and you should enjoy them since everyone is ignorant in those years. But turning 22 is no big deal.
If it bugs you that much already, do what most men do in their midlife crisis, go buy a stupid fast car, a big tv, a sports jacket, some nice speakers, and pretend you're young again.

One foot in the grave already. Anyone complaining in their 20s needs to die.
nothing change :)
i turned 20 4 months ago and i still the same immature & insecure person the i was before. i think the big change is going to be went i turn 25 and realise im a adult and people would be expected different things of someone of that age. no more manga, anime, videogames! jaja...no that part will never die.
i sorry my english is not that good yet.

Maybe i'm just a guy or something, but i felt the same as i did when i turned 19 haha. I didn't really think much of moving on from the teen years... I was still in school, so its the same life as always!! ><
20? I'm feeling old already and I'm just 18

I can understand that im getting 21 in 2 months and i feel already that my life is over but immy case it is a bit diferent, to keep it short when iw as 16 i was kicked out from highschool and after that its like my time has ben frozen so imgetting older but my daily life doesnt really change in the past 4 years.
Well i think what i can advice you is to hang out with people your age and going out a lot, youre still to young for a life crisis so have fun as long as youre you sure it is better to be 16 then 20 but time dont stop so shouldnt you too just keep up your life try new things wich give you the feeling your alive like bungee jumping XD

Changing? Life is always changing.
There is always change in every day life. I didn't need to turn twenty to have that happen. As in terms of some sort of revelation or anything, not really. I was always curious if there would be a change in who I was when I turned 20 or 21, but nope. I've noticed a gradual change in myself over time, but that's more of maturity than a change in age.

I've just recently turned 21, and honestly i don't feel any change at all. I used to dread the thought of being 20+ and getting older. Seemed like it was happening all to soon and i wanted to enjoy my teen years a bit more. But after i actually did reach that age, i realized that it does'nt actually matter at all. It's just a number. You can still act like you used to and have fun. The real change happens only when you start working and paying for your bills and all. ^^;
Some people feel old once they reach 20 simply because they probably never done anything extreme in there teenage time. When I mean "extreme" I don't mean it literally, Im talking about things like ditch school with your friends go in the mall go to the movies, lol go camping and lie to your parents saying your going to a sleepover and so on. You wanna feel young again? it's not to late go on a road trip or go hang out in vegas with your friends, trust me nothing cures boredom like a good ol fashion road trip.
I don't thing anything's gonna change when I'm going to become 20. I'm 18 now but as much as I remember my ever birthday was as same as before. Every thing going to remain same, going to university, came back home, doing homework etc. etc.. My graduation will take 5 years to complete and I'm just in First year now. So I'm shure nothing will going to change except my syllabus for study. I wonder what's making you to act so cheerful I mean turning 20 is not a difficult task it will happen to everyone, naturally. And I don't think that only 18 & 19 are you're prime years but ever year of your life is a prime year. So we should utilize every day of our life. And yes! we should feel happy in every stage of our life no matter if it's a topic about turning 20 or 50.

lol

Always keep smiling cause life is a long Journey
