In the new anime of this year,I find some good anime,like “Les Miserables”, the coming anime and movies such as the new movie of One Piece on Mar 3rd (I expect most since I am aficionado of One Piece,and I think this movie will be the best one in all its movies),the real-people movie of Mushishi in this spring,SkyGirls,5cm per second in this spring and so forth. I think they are good anime and well worthy watched,and I quite look forward to 5cm per second,and the series of it,the scene of them are the best and really very beautiful,the stories are sad. So how do you find the new anime of this year.
I find the new anime from the magazine and internet... ehm... i have watch d-grayman... it's very interesting i think... ghost hunt... this is interesting too... pumpkin scissors, shonen onmyouji... those animes are interesting... he3^^... i really want to watch Gin Iro No Olynsiss... have you watched this anime??
Know more otakus and ask them for webs regarding new animes! XDXD well, magazines and check on hot topics. The hotter the topic of an anime, the more famous. Lastly... your instinct! XDXD you can have a whole directory of new animes in japanese but follow your instinct on which to watch!! XDXDIt works for me!

This may sound shallow, but sometimes I judge things by the cover. So, if I see a box that looks REALLY nice, I'll immediately rent/buy it, based on that alone. For other stuff, it's either recommendations or just net
I suggest you read anime blogs. Anime blogger almost always buzz about hit animes before they are even released. Some of the recent good anime titles that I discovered through anime blogs are Gakuen Utopia Manabi Straight, Kyoshiro to Towa no Sora, Kanon 2006 remake and Nodame Cantabile just to name a few.
anime nano is an excellent source for browsing through anime blogs.

I get them from a good friend who has a massive archive of Anime. I also use the internet to search similiar genres or to check for sequels. I normally go by the advice of my friend :D

Half of the animes I've seen are from good wallpapers that I find online. I figure that if someone spends so much time on a wallpapers for an anime then it should at least be decent.

I ask friends , and or google search or ask in forums lol but usually if the anime does well in Japan its most likely a hit everywhere else like bleach, one piece, naruto excluding fillers lol

Some I just see a picture or wallpaper somewhere that catches my eye or see pictures from it frequently online and become curious about it.
