This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

I was just curious about it: how many of you start using the pc with the DOS turtle? XD Its just that today's kids learn with XP and I'm sure soon there will be Vista available in schools. Back in my days there was not even a decent Windows version. XD I do remember our first lessons were all in DOS but what I remember the most is that little turtle, we make it turn in different directions and draw lines.^^ I cant believe how much has change in all these years, the newer generations are really lucky to count with the lastest tech and programs.
Anyway, anyone else remembers the turtle or its just me?

I don't remember anything about a turtle. I do remember, though, going through tons of cd, dir, rem, and cp commands.

I first started out on an old texas instruments computer with onlly handful of ram and audio tapes as mass storage. I wrote my first program on it when I was 14 I think. Nowadays my calculator has more processing power then that old thing.. hell, even cell phones today are more of a computer then that old thing! XD

Oh crap this makes me sound old!!

I remember that stupid program. the most idiotic part about is you to type a lot of crap just to make it do what you want. i always wondered how the hell are we going to use these in real life. nowadays kids learn basic programming at highschool. i'm so jealous...

You mean LOGO. Well, my first lessons were in DOS too. Then later with more advanced LOGO called Microworlds on Windows. Now, there can be tons of turtles in one screen, you can chage their shape, or even write procedures for a simple text encryption. I also miss those days.

The repeat command would have achieved that square in a single line of code.

Just fragments of code I remembered from a very long time ago.. :)
I usually got bored after the 10th line of logo code and started to play Space Invader,
Hence I never became a code monkey but became an Administrator with a grudge against Aliens from outer space.
