This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

To the nice folks of Anime Paper, please hear my plea. 8)E emoticon

my mom recently brought a Canon camcorder. it runs on mini-dvds, so i thought that, since my pc has a dvd drive, it could read them. the problem is, when the disc got full and i inserted it into my pc, it was not detected and cannot be read. P(T_T) emoticon

should i change my dvd drive? or is there a solution that you can suggest here? BTW, i use a LITEON DVD/cd writer combo drive.

any help would be very much appreciated!! <3 emoticon

Read the camcorder manual rather than plead on an anime website.

@rcboy... ignore whatever is happening above

can you say any more info about your sistem specs and the full model of your drive?

edit:
some questions
did you formatted the pc recently?
does it read other type of dvds? (the big ones)

Might want to upgrade the firmware of your DVD drive...

Well first before you buy the new dvd rom make sure to update your DVD rom firmware and check the DVD type (especially if it is RAM type). Some of DVD-rom need this update to detect the DVD especially the new one.
Second try the dvd in other dvd rom drive in other PC then take that DVD rom in your PC. Its purpose to test your OS. Old OS (I mean long non formated OS) has some problem in this. They can read the disc properly (I had this problem too). If in the your PC that dvd rom working then you should bought a new one.
Hope it will help.

I've tried loading the disc unto the laptops of my parents who also have dvd-roms. oddly, both laptops can't read the disc. maybe there is an error in the disc.

i'm sorry but i've pored over the manual numerous times and the only mini dvd related info is how to load the disc and how to access and reformat it.

i'll try the firmware upgrade. is that the same as a driver upgrade?

Did you finalize the disc using the camcorder before trying to play it on your computer?

You should be able to finalize the disc by doing something like:-
Func > Menu > Disc Operations > Finalize > Yes

If this doesn't work can you post the model of the camcorder.

On a partially unrelated note, don't try putting mini DVD discs in slot loading DVD drives.

Eh... Wait for sec. Did it comes from directly camcorder or not ? If not then maybe you forgot to finalize the DVD (mini DVD). If this happen, the DVD don't work. If it's from camcorder (i think all camcorder finalize the dvd automaticaly) maybe there is some way to finalize it (refer to manual ^^)
