New car...
Well we're all bound to experience it sometime in our lives, similar to getting your driver's lisence. My high school English teacher told us that when he first got his lisence he went on a joyride with his friends to Calgary, Alberta and ended up wrecking the right side of his car, and he had to duct-tape the door back up onto the car with his friend holding the inside of the door while going down the highway back home. I find people do crazy stuff like that when they get their first car/lisence. Next week we'll be buying a new car (2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STI). Yes it's a good car and I could take it out to the track, that is if there was one around where I live...
So here's the first thing, I bought that car because I needed it. My university is a 20-min drive away from home, and because it's on a large hill and because I live in BC, Canada, I need AWD so I can be sure I don't miss any of my classes in the winter. Asides from commuting, and the fact that there are no race tracks around my home (well there is, but it's a drag strip, I need something with turns), what else can I do with it? I was thinking of practicing driving techniques like heel and toe, sliding the car etc. and doing all those things in large parking lots. I don't carry friends around often, heck I hardly socialize that much (I don't even have a cell phone lol, MSN is good enough for me).
And here's the second thing, if you guys bought a new car, what would you do with it?

First thing i'd do would be some crazy drifting man i've always wanted to do that after i saw some arab drift in youtube, it just looks awesome after that i'd probably just use it normally i've always thought dying in a car crash would truly suck... so yeah if you want my advice i'd find some lone street to drift a little :)
I am amazed at the person who dares to drive a STI 2008, which I think is an unfocused car, neither soccer mom or boy racer, and it is ugly IMO.
My first car, the one I purchased myself, is a GT skyline (old godzilla), and I did what most others did, rage it on the road at night.
bloody nice, but that was until I grow out of it lately, planning to sell it.

If I have bought a new car...
Maybe I will ask someone on date...

Forget the cars, I'll get a motorbike!

When photos of it came out last year, I was pukin all over the floor as well, but if you don't look past the cosmetics of a car like you would only judge a girl by their looks, you'll never learn of the car's advantage. I'm glad it's no longer a boy-racer car, as the older models had huge, exaggerated wings and the older one were a bit heavier. For the price you pay for this car and what you get, the Evo and the STI are some of the best bargains I can find on the market today, and there are very few cars out there that can get a whole family from 0-100k in less than 5 seconds. And I'm not sure what 'unfocused' means here, but yes it's ugly, but after they released the specs on the car last year I was very impressed at the lowered engine, larger intercooler, wider body, wider wheels, rear double wishbone suspension and best of all, and I think this is the main reason why I loved the STI's, their WRC DNA. Well that's basically why I chose this car, putting it's ugliness aside, I really hope it helps Atkinson and Solberg in the WRC soon...

First car Im going to buy is a Mustang GT, I love them. ^^ I guess the first thing I'd do is probably take my best friend Jess and go on a trip to a snowy place to go snowboarding. Other than that, I'd just simply use it as it is suppose to be used; to get me places.

Well, I have a 2003 Dodge Ram truck (red), a 2007 Corvette (blue), and recently bought a 2008 Chevrolet Equinox (black) in December.
I got an awesome deal on the Equinox, and we really needed a small SUV for travel. Also, my wife is only 22, so insurance is a liability for the truck and Corvette, and she hasn't learned to drive yet (let alone drive a stick-shift). Since its an automatic, my wife won't have as much trouble learning to drive. I really like the Equinox--AWD, excellent performance and quality for the price ($24,000).
When my daughter turns 18 in June, I'd like to give her my Corvette and buy the new Corvette ZR-1, but I haven't worked out how I'm going to round up $100,000. (ha-ha).

Hm...I just turned sixteen and where I live, I can qualify for a learner's permit. But I don't want to go to school to learn how to drive. -_-' I think that I would much rather ride a motorbike or a bicycle, as I was once in a car of an inexperienced driver...and that was pretty scary. But I think that I would use a car to go out, drive to school, etc. What else would you use a car for?
When I will have my first new car..oh that is soo cool..expecting that I should have already known how to drive before having one..I would learn to do the Drift thing(Initial D^_^)..hahaha..and go to different places with wonderful view with some of my friends or family..haaaayyy..I wish I could have one for real and be a good driver..
Car? dont need one of those, the whole car business is rotten... (well maybe except of the gas consumption decrease attempts)

If you live in California and you sign any contract, you will be unable to return the vehicle. In a rare case, I practically begged the manager of a used car lot to unwind the deal. I told him that my wife purchased a car for me prior to my purchase of their car, but I was completely unaware of it. They finally let me out, but withheld a $40.00 documentation fee and a 2.9% credit card surcharge. $178.00 is better than a $6000 used car that I decided that I didn't want. Also, when I purchased the car, I left it at the car lot and told them that I'll pick it up in a matter of days. I guess the unwinding of the deal helped for the simple fact that the car never left the lot and I came back the next morning. It only took me one night to think about the deal and realize that I wanted out. The most important thing is to not let the sales person pressure you into signing anything. Don't listen to 'this car may be gone tomorrow,' 'this is as low as I can go,' 'you will not find a deal better,' etc. It's all bull. It will get you in trouble if you sign the contracts, but you later want out. THERE IS NO WAY OUT AND THERE IS NOTHING THAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT. Everything is monitored and recorded from the minute you step on the car lot until you go to the back office to sign the 'nail in the coffin' contracts. Before you sign anything, go home and think about it. It will save you a lot of headaches. DON'T SIGN ANY CONTRACTS UNTIL YOU ARE COMPLETELY HAPPY WITH THE CAR! If you already have and you want out, the best advice that I can give is make up any good believable heartbreaking lie such as: Someone passed in my family and I need the money to help fund the burial expenses, etc. Go in the office crying if you have to. It may work, but it may not. YOU WILL BE CRYING FOR REAL IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO UNWIND THE DEAL. The best time to put on an act is when a sales person is with a potential car buyer. The car lot or dealership people most likely won't show their true colors in front of potential car buyers. They'll put on an act and most likely, unwind the deal. But again, this is rare, like in my case. DON'T SIGN ANY CONTRACTS UNTIL YOU ARE COMPLETELY HAPPY WITH THE CAR!
