Er, i went to a children's party before [about a year or couple of years ago] and there's this little girl who approached me. she asked me if i believe in magic... i didn't know what to answer... really, i was tongue-tied at that...
up until now i don't know if i believe in magic... sure, i'm a psychic and i see things that ordinary, normal people could not see... but i sometimes ask myself if that is magic... magic... magic... it's something supernatural right? something ethereal... but isn't it just a trick to fool people?
what do you think?

Magic...for me this thing is kindda fake as some of the magic does involed something like optical illusion...since i am a science student and may say it like that.
but,after thinking for a while, i may say that magic may be something supernatural,something that can't even be explained in the point of view of science...for instance,about the tarot card i ask ealier in other topics...some people told me that they can see those spooky stuff...also,it can predict our future if you are pro on using those cards (not like me...) magic? how about those spiritual stuff we heard about curing illness and that?
i dunno what i'm saying but magic is kindda mysterious to me.dunno if i should believe...o_o

Err,personally I think magic is somekind of illusion. There will always a catch behind all those tricks they performed. And they will never reveal them because they swore for keeping the secret of the magic tricks. Contrary, I do like to watch magic shows.

I believe in magic of all sorts like light or dark or juz plain simple magic... i think magic is very mysterious and that it really exist i even think alchemy is real too
If you mean that magic can be everything that can't be explained, that can't be rationalized, then I most definitley beleive in magic because there are so many countless things in this world that cannot be explained. The very reason that they're magical is because nothing in our realm of knowledge can describe to us the reasons behind why they do what they do...and that's magical.
I also beleive that Magic is something that resides in the heart of every person...to me something magical can be something natural and beautiful, something that takes your breath away. Haven't you ever felt the glow of magic when seeing a beatuiful flower blossom covered in early morning dew, or an early morning sunrise, or when sitting in complete serenity and meditiation or laughing and talking with one of your very closest friends? These momments are magical, because even if we understand them, we don't have to understand why they happen to know that they're something amazing. Fin.

If you're talking about magic that defies the laws of physics, absolutely not. If magic truly existed, it would mean unravelling the very fabric of space-time and chaos would happen.
As for you being psychic, I don't know about that. Can you elaborate on that? Heck, sometimes I get visions other people can't see but I doubt that makes me a psychic. For all I know, it could be a product of the chemical reactions in my brain that wasn't supposed to happen.
As for the bit about the unexplained, I do believe in some things. However, I do believe that even though they are unexplained, they couldn't possibly violate the rules of this world. And why do I cling so strongly to this notion of a universe with unbreakable rules? Well, why do some people cling so strongly to the unexplained that has no rational explanation?

Depends on what type of magic you're talking about. The word "magic" is used quite often to describe things that can't be define with science and so forth. If you seen that one show "Street Magic" with what's-his-face, where this guy does magic with no props or nothing other than his cards and the people on the street, now that's magic to me since I don't know how the hell he did all those stuff, so it's "magic". So yeah, I believe in magic in that sense.
And I don't believe there is magic in love either. :P Just time , devotion, and commitment. Each one of us is capable of doing those things. No magic there. XD

For obvious reasons, I don't believe in the "OMFG TEH SUMMONS AND TEH FIREBALLS" magic shown in RPGs ;)
And... in the other hand, the supposed "real magic"... for me, it's merely bullshit. A lot of people that practice such things only like to gain money, taking advantage of people's ignorance.

I would like to believe in magic, but there's nothing substantial so I can't say that I do. I also don't believe in the fantasy-type magic like "fireball" spells and "lightning" spells, etc.

Yes, that's what some people say, that magic is only used to fool people, to take people away from reality... which is not good... but sometimes, there are such things that couldn't be explained... are they magic as well? ... and i have to agree with pink sakura about there is no magic in love... people fall in love because they desire to... they want to... and when it comes to love at first sight, well, i don't know if it's really magic since... i haven't fallen in love yet... wahahahaha! how ironic!
