This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Okay I need some tips. I think that it looks good, but it is obvious I don't know anything. Thanks for your comments. Here is the link.

The way things are now, it looks strange. The elements are just floating around, and there's no depth. I guess the extractions are looking good, except the cherry blossom tree (there are lots of black parts between the leaves) and the weird grass. I think it's going to be really difficult to blend all the elements using only the grass as ground. Maybe you could find a stock for the ground, and then add the grass, I don't know. Well, I guess I can't help you any more than this, so good luck & work! ^^

As it is... it doesn't work, like dixneuf said. The grass is supposed to surround the elements that are in it. I'll give a rough example:

User posted image

You do so by making grass layers behind and in front of the object layer, for starters. Also, the grass covering the base the objects should be solid, so that said base won't appear.

The sun also looks weird - a square? Also, the background is empty and boring.

Finally, the elements (grass, stock tree/cathedral and 3D character) themselves don't match each other; if you want to make a good piece, work so that its elements look like they belong together.

The cherry tree hasn't been extracted or whatever the term is ver well. It's far too obvious that all these random objects have just been placed together. I's suggest using a really colourful and exciting sky, perhaps a sunset instead of the plain blue and then (if you're using photoshop) making a new layer and using gradient (about 30% or so, whatever looks best) over it to give the rest of the wallpaper a reddish (or whatever colour you decide to use) tint. That may make it less obvious that you have just sort of copied and pasted objects onto the coluor. I have no problems with the grass, I thin that'[s fine but the actual sky and the fact that the objects in the wallpaperer are so sparce is letting down what could be a really good wallpaper. Blending edges might also help. Alternatively, you could make the pictures bigger (hopefully of good quality though, not edgy) and take up mopre space if you wanted to keep the blue sky. These are just suggestions though. It's a good idea, but there is definitely room for improvement.

Sorry but everything is not working for me. extraction is bad. everything is floating. its like you made a collage. nothing is interesting in the background. since it is a castle, put some sort of mountains and stuff. which leaves me to this question, are there cherry blossoms near castles? oh yeah the sun is plain and not interesting.

sorry for the comment. its for the best. you can do it! :]
