This wallpaper gives us a perfect example of how a simple manga scan can be turned into a beautiful vector. Not only did danalm trace the lineart, but he also added amazing details and a simple, yet wonderful background. Furthermore, the wallpaper shows us how the monochromatic style can make your work look really interesting.

<!--QuoteBegin--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--QuoteEBegin-->There are those certain websites that somehow bypass a browsers pop-up blocker. I've been to a few that had pop-up messages when I was on either Firefox or I.E with the Google Taskbar.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->That's happened to me a few times, but at a much lower frequency. I think I remember reading the term "pop-under" but I'm not sure if it refers to that directly or not. That's why I have a hosts file and update it a lot - a window might pop up but if it shows up a 404, then it can't pop anything new up and it's not as annoying.

Thank god for the Google popup stopper.. <!--emo&:D--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

They didn't really drive me nuts before I used the Googlebar though. I'd just leave one window open and that usually did the trick. But in the end, it didn't really help. <!--emo&:(--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->

One more thing the less porn sites you visit the less porn pop ups you will get tested and proven.

Hey hey, i do not visit porn sites!! That was offensive.... ;_; Firefly's a meanie.... ¬_¬ lol...jk. It's just that those pop ups create popups so that you would buy their product.

I use Firefox (I've been with it since it was called Phoenix too). In fact, I've blocked IE from having access to the Internet with McAfee, so no one on the computer can use it and get all sorts of drive-by install crap on my PC. I've tried Opera as well, but I just find it too... something.

Anyone who'se ever tried to do CSS web design <i>has</i> to hate IE, as its support for CSS is buggy and <i>very</i> incomplete. IE doesn't support alpha transparency in PNG images (as in the one below) properly, either.

I use Opera (on the PC) and Safari (on the Mac) which both block pop-ups for me.

I don't get or like sites that have ten zillion pop-ups, especially when it seems they're unneeded. (Before my blocker, I went to one anime wallpaper site that popped like, 4 or 5 popups a page!)

I never trust ANY type of pop-up, and I installed that Google tool bar so they would quit plaguing my poor computer.

Well, I think pop-ups are great *hides*
hear me out!
The reason is:
a) they help sites stay up
<!--emo&B)--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='cool.gif' /><!--endemo--> they're easy to block

This way, the sites get funding to stay up using popups, rather than a bunch of adds that take up space on their site, and you can stop it easily with popupblockers or using opera or firebird. <!--emo&^_^--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/happy.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='happy.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Yeah, I hate popups. But I accept them as a part of normal surfing. It's just a mild annoyance that I can live with. But sites with too many popups are too much - I will just exit that site.
