No, there isn't any movie on Final Fantasy 8
There is on Final Fantasy VII though, called Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.

Um you forgot Final Fantasy: Legendary Crystals (which i add is good), that was 4 OVA's.
Although i hear of a rumor of FF8 sequal.
Oh before i forget FF: Last order SUCKED there are parts that didnt go the way they showed it there on the anime although.. theres the games Before Crisis and Crisis Core.. i saw the trailers but they show the anime of Last order.. so not sure whats that about.. But Imagin a FF7 Anime Series i mean based off the FF7 story line. wow that will be ok but just hope they dont Mess it up.

I dont know if this is on topic or not, but would anybody think square studios would pick up another FF movie.
my opinion on it is that it would take some serious thought to do another 7-10yr project whether if its as a technical exercise or box office profit.
i'd like to hear someone else's opinion on how realistic the chances of another movie popping up

But one thing for sure is that you can never guess what Square has up their sleeves anyways. When Spirits Within came out I remembered them saying that they're never ever going to make another movie, but guess what happened then? XD

In reference to Final Fantasy Unlimited, it was released in 2001. I've watched all of it and i have to say it was...interesting. The actual story was a little weak but some of the ideas they had were pretty cool. Although they could have done a lot better at animating the summons, but i dunno. I enjoyed it for the most part.
FF unlimited was too childish for my taste. That and too much "taking bullet, stuffing in gun, kicking ass" animation in every ep :D

Alot of people will think FF:U is boring because of maybe repetiveness or blandness in the story..
I found the anime intriguing.. so intriguing that I feel like I will go out of my way to write a paper to defend it (maybe..)
I'm pretty sure Square (They were Square at the time) pretty much stated that they intended the anime for young children..
well, if you get bored in the first some episodes, this anime is not really for you..

I've seen FFX out on dvds that tell the story of the game rather than you playing it though...never really seen it on screen, only saw the cover. Is it like one of those?

The final fantsy x and x-2 dvds are the game play and the cinemas, for people who don't want to spend hours on the game and only want to see the story line etc... you cant really call those movies. unlike the final vii which continues the story two years after the end of the game.sethie
