This is sort-of similar to the other topic about homework. I'm a really bad procrastinator on my homework. It sucks because I fear my grades will drop and then my parents will be mad at me.
Is Manga/Anime effecting you're grades? If so, how?
Edit: I also have three quizes tommorow that I didn't study for. ^_^; damn Anime and Manga!

Lol i wish i could blame my grades on something like Manga and anime... but noo unfortunately i can only blame myself... lol
It is your responsibilities for your grade. You can't really blame on anime or manga. Last semester, I watched many animes and missed a lot of classes. So I can only blame on myself.
I think it is hard but try to finish homework and study for test before watching manga or watch anime.
I am trying to do that now. ^_^

I try to stay in the library as long as I can because I have really bad self-control...like right now :headbash:
The bad thing is...some library also have mangas. Just dont blame urself much. School is totally depressing. I got it this semester. So depress then relationship stuffs... just take things a little by little.

For me, I worked on my priorities and learned to do homework before reading manga or watching anime. It's really all about discipline and responsibility. Nowadays, I have watched far less anime than I had during the summer break when I had almost all the time in the world. Actually, I hardly watch any because I'm so busy with school work and social gatherings and such that I'm so reluctant to watch anime or read manga on a regular basis. I don't want to ruin my cycle during the weekdays so my anime watching is limited considerably.
So therefore, anime is not to be blamed for one's grade. One must work hard at studying hard and then reward him or herself with a nice 25-minute episode every once in a while. It's a habit one must break out during the school year.

For me i'm happy because of anime my grade in english just go up for 10 point ^^ (japanese one and subtitle english) my original language was french so i'm really happy that anime help me in english and philosophy sometime ^^ :hehe:
We don't have homework in college, if we do... it doesn't count for a grade. I

I don't think manga/anime is affecting my school work. I do pretty well at school and have never failed anything.
My parents are quite strict on me so I can't watch anime during the week and i'm hardly allowed to read manga.

to me, no, they don't cause any trouble. sometimes, it helps with my japanese though! xD
it's all about managing your time correctly. It's good to restrict yourself to weekends and holidays, or maybe one episode a day when you're not busy or have little homework.

For me not really. I do not watch that much anime. Just a little. But neither do I have a lot of work to do at home. I can nicely plan everything I want to do in a day without getting in troubles with grades etc.
I do not have much class anyway, only 3 ( visual basic programming, english, dutch ). For VBP we only need to work on our projects at home from time to time. For english and dutch we work with workshops so that only takes a little preparation the day before each lesson.
In total i have 16 hours of school in a week since I dropped math last year. ( Else I wouldve had 18 ). Anyway, No my grades do not drop because I watch anime. Probably I sometimes get in trouble when gaming though ^_^;

Nope, watching anime doesn't affect my studies greatly...video games do though. i'm mainly getting A's and B's...

You can't blame anime and manga the fact that you grades are dropping. You make the choice to watch and read it. So the only one to blame is yourself.
I watch a lot of anime's but when I have homework (rarely :P) then I do that instead of watching anime or reading manga. Come on, everyone has weekend and freetime. School is important for your future, don't let anime or manga ruin that ;)

Lol.. something like that is happenning to me... I have an exam in 3 weeks which will determine whether i actually qualify for Uni... and i'm not studying alot... mostly coz of anime.. but i don't blame anime. I blame myself for alot of procastination and laziness...
