Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!

I just finished watching the first episode of Nodame Cantabile, and boy, I was laughing so hard that my stomach ached. I think the artist drew the musical instruments really well (I'm a pianist, and I can see the difference), and the 'Yamaha' sign on it looks real enough XD

The quality of the animation is also good, and I like the way the characters were drawn. The classical music used in the anime is also nice >.< The detail paid to the music scores and instruments really paid off. I can see that it was really well done.

Nodame smells~~ >.< and it's extremely kind of Chiaki to help clean up her apartment. And his expressions...it's so hilarious that I was laughing to myself all the way XD

*Going to buy the whole series to enjoy*

What do you think about Nodame Cantabile?

Hahaha, you laughed your stomach off? But, it's a good thing, because, I was near that peak, hoho. ^o^. Yep yep, the anime is quite good in the sense of music and comedy. My brother wasn't really used to the drawings at the beginning, hoho. ^o^. I like the romance parts the most, hoho. Sah-sah I am a girl. ^-^.
Oh, just that I actually wanted a continuation. You know, the manga's storyline is already after they went to Paris. Haha, I read one of the manga's synopsis, and, you know what? Chiaki is soo cute! ^o^.
Overall, rated as one of my favourite animes. ^-^.

Well, Chiaki doesn't really do it out of kindness; but more because it disturbs him xD
Nodame Cantabile is a great manga/anime/dorama. The anime is quite faithful to the manga; but I think I liked the Live Action version better.
The cast was really nicely choosen; and they look the part very well.

The anime was a lot of fun, I hope they make a second season since the manga has tons more material. I have not seen the drama yet, but a friend of mine has it so I want to watch it!
I heard in drama Noda doesn't make the kissy fish face she does in the anime when she is playing =(

I have never watched the drama before, but I have always preferred anime to live-action (XD) emoticon I love the classical music they use in the anime~~ One funny part is where Mine wanted to do the 'rock violin' thing9(>_>) emoticon...that part I was laughing so hard - my sister thought I have gone crazy (XD) emoticon I mean, it's a classical orchestra...But it's a good idea anyway >:D emoticon

I had a lot of fun watching this anime. The music was great, the humor was great, the romance was great. And the ending was excellent and felt very fitting. It was a nice place to end the first season, should there ever be a second season. When Chiaki just hugs Nodame in the last episode, it just felt like such a big step in their relationship, and then her father catches them in the act, and the humor is back. Like I said, the humor in this anime flows very well with the overall drama that is happening in every episode.

Someone said that the manga has a lot of more material, probably from when Chiaki finally travels abroad to study and probably going with Nodame. So I sincerely hope the anime team decide to continue the series into a second season.

Ya, I absolutely agree with you. Before that scene, the relationship between Chiaki and Nodame is just like Nodame chasing after Chiaki, while Chiaki treats her like an irritating bug most of the time. But, when they start to drift apart doing their own stuff, I somehow feel that Chiaki feels lost sometimes ^^ The expression on her father's face when he saw them...OMG it was so funny that I laughed until my stomach hurts -- again *.*

I know how to play the Pathetique Sonata ^^ (the one Nodame was playing in the first episode and hummed something along the lines of 'cat's poo' etc etc) >:D emoticon

By the way, there's a musician in Japan named Shinichi Suzuki...he's quite great and has written quite a number of books for violinists to practise on. Then Chiaki's name is Shinichi too ^^ I wonder if it's a coincidence?

I'm watching nodame cantabile now, and quite enjoying it. (: I simply adore the music! I've been playing the piano for many years, so I was overjoyed to find an anime that had classical music. Havent watched the drama yet, don't think I will. Nodame is really amusing. (:

Kyaa~! It's such an adorable anime. I love how comedic Nodame makes it; she's become one of my favorite characters! I play the piano, and when I watched the series, it really made me want to play like them ( although that's impossible...) It's a sweet love story with comedy, music, and everything in between. :3 I wish there were more episodes, too. And yeah, I prefer anime to live-action as well!

Heh. I'm feeling really motivated to practice my piano after watching and hearing Nodame and Chiaki play. =D They somehow make playing the piano seem really easy.

Both anime and drama made me laugh so hard. Nodame is way too funny~~! At the same time I'm so jealous that she can listen to the music and play it. I have to read the notes to play it.

anyways, i need to re-watch this series again!

I played the Nintendo DS game of this which is entertaining if you like music games. You basically play as the main character / conductor and must play along to the orchestra music. It also has a few enjoyable mini-games too like a memory cooking game. Unfortunately its all in Japanese so when you're moving around the school talking to characters I had no idea what was going on, but some of the characters seemed quite funny so it got me intrigued to watch the anime now. I've heard good things about it and its good to see fans of it here, so I'll definitely take a look sometime.
