So, i've been trying to find out more about these games.not their plt, but the freakin release dates ><!so far, i got KH2 comes ou tin september in the US, and FFXII comes out at about 6 different times.i beat kingdom hearts a while ago...like well over a year lol, and couldn't wait for the next one. and when they speculated at the end of 2004, i was all excited, but was like..."i can wait...i'll just get a game to hold me over!"...final fantasy X-2 was that game >.>and then they pushed it back to september 2005 so i'm all AHHHHHHH!and the same thing with FFXII! i finished FFX and FFX-2 and was like..."okay square, i'm ready for FFXII! january or february? okay <!--emo&:D--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->"then they pushed it back to god knows when because everyone has different dates in their sites.my friend told me to just play FFXI and i said..."no, because even if i don't like to go outside, i need to see the light of day now and then and not have my life sucked away by my PS2"not to mention i hafta wait till june for the new zelda game ><! sooo many 's for link <!--emo&:D--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->well, because i like the intro so much and bantam is away and tate isn't online, i shall go and play kingdom hearts.again.so if anyone knows the actual release date for FFXII and KH2, and knows any of the reasons why square is sucking so much getting these games out, lemme know XD

It doesn't bother me lol I'm patient about it. Maybe SquareEnix wanna touch something up? If that's the case, then for me it's alright.

If you're expecting FFXII to be like FFX or any other FF games before it, you're going to be in for a big surprise.Nobuo Uematsu (the guy who did the music for all of the FF games that stayed within the numbering scale), and the guy who pretty much created FF (whose name escapes me at the moment) have both left SquareEnix.That's not my point though. My point is, the team developing FFXII is composed of many of the same people who developed Final Fantasy Tactics, Vagrant Story, and Ogre Battle. <!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->well hopefully the story has some relevance betwen KH and KH2. if not i'll be even more disappointed. as for FFXII, i'm just getting the japanese version when available. from what i remember the japanese one was suppose to be release early 2005 and i was assuming the US release would be October 2005 (to avoid dual release with KH2 September). this happen with another game they were helping to publish over here, Star Ocean: Till the End of Time. they pushed Star Ocean, since it was going to release within the same month as FFX-2. dont remember how long but it was at least 6 months i think or more. not sure if they would do that too if FFXII and KH2 are just a month apart.

The last I heard FXII was supposed to come out sometime in spring of of next year while KH2 was set for the fall. *sighs* I just want the games to come out already! I hate it when they push back the release dates. I guess I should try to learn some patience, but it's hard. ^^;

It was released during a financial meeting a couple of months back that FFXII wouldn't see a Japanese release till sometime after April 1, 2005 (start of the new fiscal year). You can usually tack on an extra 8-9 mos. after that for a US release although with the delay this game has already seen i'd imagine it'll be abit shorter than that. If i had a guess i'd say sometime in Nov. or Dec of 05'

Great enough games though they were, I thought the three that OrchidMalevolence mentioned all had some infuriating meter that penalised you if you started having too much fun.In Vagrant Story it was the treacherous RISK meter, Ogre Battle had that dashed Reputation bar, and though I never played FFTactics I'm going to assume it wasn't an exception.I hope FFXII doesn't have something similar.

Chain of memories is pretty good. i dont see why you hate that card system.. lol maybe its cuz i dindt buy it.

Kingdom Hearts 2 is slated for a september 05 release. I really can't wait for this game. We were left with such a cliff hanger on the last one and chain of memories helped fill that void, but it still wasn't enough. Hopefully, this game will be even better. And it's been said that square- enix hopes to make kingdom hearts like the next Final Fantasy series.

Actually, Gundamizer, you're kind of wrong as far as Square Enix wanting to make the game the next FF series. FF games will never go away. I'll be dead before they finishes the series. Kingdom hearts creator/director said that he has a "final scene for the series already planned out". Nomura even said the series aren't the same.When you're planning a final scene, the means there's a deffinate end.Still, I can't wait to play the next game. It should be awsome.As far as FF12 goes, Square-Enix will probably stick to the usual method of three main instalments per system. This'll be the last one for PS2. I haven't read much about it since the last E3 because I really just want to be surprised when it comes out. It looks amazing though. It's pretty enough that it could probably get by as a next-gen launch title with little tweaking. Hell, a lot of the better-looking first gen PS2 games were just PS1 games modified for the PS2. Armored Core 2 comes to mind.
