I just got Gran Turismo 4 yesterday since I pre-ordered it. Even got the wheel controller thing for $10, since it was offered if I pre-ordered it. Now there's one for me and my bro, makes it more fun. XD Anybody bought this game yet? If you didn't, you should 'cause it's awesome! Too many cars than you can count on your fingers and toes included. I noticed a few cars like the funky-looking Toyota car that runs on electricity, forgot what it was. I remember seeing a bunch of skylines when browsing through Nissan. But what I really remembered was the 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse, the prototype model. There were some classics cars as well and those cost like hell, even more than the new sport cars.You still have to take the tests to get your license but if you have Gran Turismo 3 game data then you can load it and you'll have all the licenses you earned in GT3 and the credits you have in GT3 so you won't have to start out with sucky car if you're too lazy to get the licenses. That's what I did, and I have a '02 Nissan Skyline GTR V-Spec II Nur, with money left to upgrade it, but I still have to earn more money to buy more stuff to upgrade it. The only thing you do is tell it to go "Steady", "Fast", or "Overtake". There's more below "Steady" but I forgot 'cause I always set it on fast or overtake. That's if you're lazy and you just want money. And the computer drives your car better, at least when turning and it never hits the wall. But I still like to drive on my own, since there are some things the computer can't do.Oh yeah, there's also a Used Car Shop added. Too poor to afford a new car? Go to the used car shop and get yourself a used car. Still good as ever. It has some Honda Civics and Lancer Evos and all that good stuff. I kinda wished I went there than buy my skyline new since they sell a skyline there too for a cheaper price. Except it has higher mileage (however you spell that).There's also the LAN thing, where you can play up to 6 players.And the graphics is as pretty as ever. But that's a given.That's all I know so far. So, anybody play this game yet?

Me and my roomates (them more so) are huge car enthusiest and ordered the game over a year ago! Finally its here after all the pushbacks and you can bet we've been glued to it since its release on tuesday. Also we picked up 2 of the new Logitech 900 deg steering wheels (a bit pricy though) and have 3 pS2s in the house. I'll let you know how the lan works out once we get the adaptors hooked up. The feedback on teh wheel is incredible and out of all teh driving games i've played i'd have to say this is the closest your going to get to "real" for along time. Right now we're running a BMW E60 M5 tuned to 600+ horses. Insanely fast. Anyways the games great and we've been raping it for all its worth! Anyone that enjoys driving, from hard core enthusiast to your average video game junkie, can enjoy it thanks to the levels of customization. Not to mention the game has over 650 different cars! Woohoo. Next on my list is the Nissan R34 Skyline GTR yummy! Here's some pictures we made with the photographer mode (another cool feature)! Yeah, I forgot about the photograph feature! OMG, you got the Logitech driving wheel? The one that's made especially for GT4, that's like $150 each? O_O I would do LAN but I need another PS2. Right now, I don't have that much money for a PS2.I need to take some pictures of my car, but have to hook it to the computer first. >_> I think the only thing I wish GT4 has are the body kits and vinyls that's in NFS. If Gran Turismo has that, I'll be playing it forever. XD

Hahah, no they dont have ricer stuff like Underground (speaking of which that was a fun ass game also!) but they do allow you to put wings on any of the cars...we put one on a stationwagon lmao, but trust me, if you like driving games this will keep you stuck to the screen! I'll post some more screenies of cars or how we set up our rooms if anyone wants to see!

How do you get the screenshot?...any hardware needed?

When you are playing in the picture mode, after you make the photo it gives you a "save to USB device" option. As long as you have a USB jumpdrive or something of the sort plugged into the PS2 you can save the screens to that and transfer them on the comp. They look really nice once you get them on a computer to!

Meh. im not as rich as you guys. i dont even work yet T_T i barely asked my older sis to buy it for me in ebay for $40 and my only problem now is getting a steering wheel. oh well.. for the picture mode, do you have to buy a USB chord for the ps2 of some sort? i cant wait for the game to get here...

Whoo GT4 is cool! I played it with my bro, he does most of the work though. Lol. XD Here's something new I learned.You can train the computer to drive your car for you. I think there are courses and you just increase the computer's level that way. So when you race against the other cars in the races, just let the computer drive for you, set it on "fast" then "overtake" and the computer will always win. You also need an upgraded car though if you want to win all the time. My computer level right now is 30-something. Now I just earn money and let the computer drive.One more thing. There's a really quick, quick way to make cash in GT4. First, buy a Mercedes CLK (if I remember correctly). Upgrade it until you can't upgrade anymore. Race in competition specifically for Mercedes cars. Win it and receive a Mercedes CLK Touring Car '00. Take that car, upgrade it. Enter it into the Deutsche Touring Car Meistershaft Race. Each race you win 1st place, you get $15,000. If you win all the races, you get $75,000. Just let the computer race for you and it will will win. That's only if you train your computer. If you don't, you need to if you want the computer to win all the time. Do it repeatedly and watch the cash roll in! And I think you will also win a Mercedes race car if you win the Deutsche Touring Car Meistershaft Race, too.That's what me and my bro did, and right now we have $2,000,000 or more. Some of the coolest and fastest race cars in GT4 costs over 1 million dollars. Winning the Deutsche Touring Car Meistershaft Race with the Mercedes CLK Touring Car is the fastest way to get cash to buy those cars.

Why buy fast cars using the computer to get the money....so you can have the computer race the fast cars for you too? I think thats probably the stupidest thing they added on this one, letting you let the computer race. Its a damn racing game, you shouldnt get a choice. And yeah, you'd have to actually do some work to afford the expensive cars, too bad, its a video game, thats the point. =/

Well there are races on this game where there are 95 laps. Nobody would want to sit there racing 95 laps on their own, no matter how into the game they are. That's probably one of the reasons the computer feature is added into GT4.
