Anime Fighting games
I was at Anime Central this year playing one of these on someone's laptop. Now i'm hooked, but I can't find any! I was wondering if anyone else plays these games, and if they do, where did you get them and what do you reccommend? the one i played was one with all maid characters, with special magic attacks and weapons like pans and brooms. It was funny and i got owned, but i liked the cel animated graphics and the fact that it was based on an actual anime series.(?)
I'm not sure what a cellshaded fighting may look like, but there are a lot of anime-ish 2d fighting games. Such as Street Fighter, King of Fighters, Guilty Gear, Last Blade, etc. etc.
It's like watching two anime characters beating each other up in an anime series, from a side view. the graphics were better than other 2-d fighting games because they looked like they took cel frames from an anime to make the game

you must be talking about Melty Blood cause you mentioned about maIDS WITH pans and brooms. well, there are lots of great fighting games with the same caliber like you said and one of them by which i liked the most is the Guilty Gear Series, the latest title is Guilty Gear XX Slash. there's plenty more like th King of FIghters Franchise or the crossover like Capcom VS SNK which gives you plenty of fun as you like. there's also a rookie player but with promising touch also made by Sega and playing on Atomiswave like Guilty Gear titled Rumble Fish 1 & 2. seriously, checked out this game, GUilty Gear titles have their PC versions upto Guilty Gear XX #Reload while King of Fighters use emulators. all of them are also available for PS2 except Rumble Fish 2. lastly, check out BLEACH DS for NINtendo DS also made by Sega and plays like Guilty Gear.

oh yeah, mugan games, mixed them all and destroy super saiyan broly with your best edited character. it's been ages since i last played mugen, wonder if there is a perfect exe. working for XP now-- lots of fighting games have appeared lately so that means a lot more character will be available for mugen players

I'm just waiting for Naruto: Clash of Ninja 2 for Nintendo GameCube gets released here

Another good fighting game based on an anime is Dragon Ball Z Budokai 3 =D
I love it, although sometimes the cinemas for the Ultimate attacks can get a little boring.
But is still OK =D

Yes clach of ninja 2 is great , but the 4th is better of course ,
but actually i prefere naruto 3 on playstation 2 , cell shading graphic , and they are lots of caractere like the 1th /2th 3/th hokage , and even the 4 th hokage junnin

Why does Japan always stay with the better games? =(
Try marvel vs capcom. it's got 2D cel-shaded characters. it may be an oldie, but it's a goodie.

Melty blood, iamp, and efz. All of them are great 2d fighters on the pc each with netplay abilities. And with an added bonus melty blood ac for the ps2 is out. I myself need to get ac but I probably won't be able to play anyone =X. Therefore, I'm stuck with playing mb 2501b against people in North America =p.
One Piece: Grand Battle rocks my PS2 right now ^_^
Melty Blood for pc!Getting these games you have to look at random animeish sites/forums and torrent them from there~ my friend helped me get it from some site called Hongfire go look it up~
