Completed the demo, very cool and cute. I'm looking forward more to the game now more then ever. Love the beats, can't wait to see what other rythms the game has and what they can do =D

I've seen screenshots of the game, but I don't even know what it is about, except it is a rhythm game
It's coming out next week though, so I'll download it to check it out

I know it got very good reviews from GameInformer magazine, and my room mate says it'll be a lot of fun. So I'll let you know what he thinks when he gets it :P
Is the demo version of the game in english?
I played the jap version...but i dont know what am i doing =.=...the onli thing is do is pon pon pata pon =.= ...hahahhaa
Ehehe. I just got the full version of the game in english! It a kind of rhythm / adventure game.. i just fell in love with it.

BTW.. haven't been able to download the demo version of the game.. dunno where to find one. I've heard you can get something extra if you use your saved game from the demo version and port to the full version.. though I haven't tried it yet.. just heard about it over the grapevine..

I was thinking of buying this game but i played the online version of this game and seems boring so i changed my mind and decided to buy something else. Someone else's opinion might not match your taste even if some famous website gives it a good rank.

you get the spear of protection if you complete the demo, save your game, and then load your saved game in the full game. you can get a demo on the playstaton store. :)
im mindlesly listening to the music on it now (just letting it idle). im getting better at keeping my minions in fever mode, but, still not good enough. another point is, im either really good at keeping the beat or not. and thats frustraiting.
the bosses are cool because most of them are big beasts that you can keep fighting over and over again for rare materials. if you can hurt them enough in a certain time frame, theyll drop a rare material/item/weapon so you can get at least 3 items from them. but, if not youll get at least one item from them when they die.
the mini games are fun too. repeating the singing tree is easy, but, keeping the plant clean/happy isnt so much so. i think ive at least 1 more mini game to unlock.
i just wish you could create weapons like you can patapons.
PON PON PATA PON! (attack my minions!
)
Patapon really is another one of those unique genre-defying games
brought out by the Japanese, to be exact the developers behind Loco Roco.
It can be described as a sorts of Rythmic RTS game , coupled in with cute
songs that you cant understand but just feel compelled by (Loco Roco Factor)
I wasn`t sure about buying this since I`ve seen so little actual footage of it
and what does seem to be out readily available was the Japanese TV trailer .
But after walking in the office two weeks ago on a monday and hearing
strange sounds from my collegues PSP`s ... everybody was playing Patapon !
It`s simple , yet addictive . I played the online demo version of this .
And that doesn`t get close to how well executed the actual game is .
So please don`t take the online flash game as a representation of the game.
The only thing it does represent is the art direction .
The game has you controlling the actions of your minions with a drum that you
control .. there are 4 different types of songs you can drum on it and you have
to figure out which one to do at any given time (unlike the hints given in the flash
demo on the web)
Between each missions you can customise your Patapon army by building different
ones and equipping them with a variety of items .
It`s hard to describe , but it`s best if you were to try it out on the nearest
PSP .
In the end , it`s one of those games you`ll either absolutly love or push aside and in
disgust .

I've just completed the European version of Patapon. If there's only one word to describe the game, it'd be "Addictive". The cute and simple character design, the bosses, the minigames, are all guaranteed to make you stay on your PSP for hours.
After hours of playing the game, you'll start hearing stuff like "Pata pata pata pon" or "Pon pon pata pon" inside your mind. Things will go even worse that you'll probably hear those cute sound in your dream!
I'm looking forward for the sequel, if there's any. :D

haha. and i thought i was the only one randomly chanting pon pon pata pon! at random places and times. worse yet, bon bon bobonn! Oo.
its weird how some of the bosses are really easy and others are stupidly hard. the first two dragons are easy (both donga and majidonga are at lvl10), the crabs are a major PITA because from lvl 3 and higher, itll only take two hits to kill off more than half of your army. plus they use sleep attacks. but, the stone golems are really easy until about lvl 7/8 range when their eye beam attacks start doing real damage. ive troubles with worms since ive troubles telling the differnce between their attacks thus theyre only lvl 4 iirc.
i just made an ultra rare megapon and it only cost 2100 ka-ching oO. good thing you can attack the glowing flowers/vines in order to milk ka-ching. plus the star gives you ka-ching for freeing from some beasts stomach. haha.
Such a fun game lol
there isn't a better way to waste time on the bus :]

I finally finished the game!! WOW!! Its true that some stages are really easy and some are just a pain in the butt! But this game really rocks! I gotta say, its a refreshing change from the usual rpgs and finger-numbing action games out there. Its kinda addictive too.
ehehe.. don't forget the silly chants that you just can't get out of your head.
