Console or PC?

Hmmm...well, if I have to make mi desicion for the impresion I have ( in reference to my environment ), then I give my vote to the consoles.
Y have the Psp and Ps3 ( And just for case, im not a Fanboy, I have an GameBoy and a SuperNess in the old times
).
if we talk of Pc games, my pc is a relique of 5 years, so I have to make an update to play games middle-descent.

PC
...but consoles have, right now, easier gaming.
I like all the options that computers can offer in terms of graphics, sound, online gaming and controllers, and of course all the new technologies applied on PC games like physics simulations, cutting-edge shaders, high-resolution-multi-monitor-display, stereoscopic vision and don't know what else.
But all that is complicated and expensive.
[Except emulators, oh, I love them! but the more recent the console more the problems with the emulator... talking about PS2 or Gamecube emulation...]
Consoles offer an easy way to play very good games, maybe without all the advantages of new technologies, but with a standardized platform, you have to take advantages of all the resources as best as possible, making of course, a better use os the hardware.
In PC mostly you waste tons and tons of resources... cof-cof Crysis cof
Ahem!
Right now, the console market has the biggest diversity of gaming titles, and of course, the best-selling games also... I'm not saying they are the "best", but I like a lot of titles that in PC are not available... like Gear of Wars 2, the fist game was on PC but because the PC-gaming-piracy Epic Games decided to put GoW2 exclusively on X-box 360.
Actually... I kind of like both PC and Consoles... I mean, i have an Xbox 360 and a PC on the same desk lol
And I also own a Wii system, and a PSP... but that one is kidnapped right now by a friend so xD

Pc, no doubt about it.
I have a fairly nice (ok, very nice and expensive) rig, that playes everything at full settings on a 24'' moniter. I can play any game I want, use any add-in components that I want and have prettyy much unlimited configuration options.
A console however, has fixed games, can't be easily upgraded and doesnt have the configuration options avalible.
You cant use photoshop on a console and MMORPGs and RTS are negh impossible to play properly.

I'm not an expert, but my two cents are
PC's can have superior specifications and capable of being upgraded, but for a price. A good PC with powerful processor, RAM, video card, sound card and one or more joysticks (or more sophisticated controllers if you want to play a wii game using a computer emulator) costs much more than a console.
At the other side, at least you have a video-beam, your gaming experience in a computer will be as bigger as your screen resolution (21, 23 inches?), while using a console, your tv is the limit (41'' in high definition, with a home theater for surround sound)
And finally, except for Xbox, by playing in a console you won't deal with windows-related problems, like program malfunction, bugs, RAM saturation, etc.
So the final decision lies on the user.

It sells better for consoles because it's harder to pirate for consoles. It's as simple as that.
It makes me sad though, since great game series like Battlefield turn into shitty, toned-down copies. Like Battlefield 1943. It's still a fun game, but you can't lie down anymore, there are no commanders, fewer players, fewer classes and more. Goddamn.

I think if you want to play games with high graphic demands
You should use console
You should use console

I like both. Some games are good for pc, others for console. But it's nice to invite a few buddies over, drink, and kick it on the console once in a while. Going to lan parties is a bitch, but fun at times.

I'd rather stick to video game consoles.

Its like this, if you wanna play a game with decent graphics thats fun and easy you should play them on a console, i mean playing an rpg on a console is the absolute best
now if you want to play a game that looks fantastic at very high res and is quick with no fps jitter, than you need a gaming pc, the problem is that many developers are not developing for pc anymore and its not a good thing because the future pc hardware will more than likely find its way into the next generation of consoles anyway

Many people are so crazy about online games, especially my younger cousins. I would never play such games because I"m afraid of possible viruses roaming around nowadays computer age.
With a console game I do not have to worry about viruses. I put in the game and just play it and settle it which is why I refer back to some old school games like Mega Man series or Mega Man X series...

I think there is no real answer to the question, different people like different games, some want the best graphics availible and will spend money to upgrade their pc's. Others want to play games on their TV, and RTS games are obviously better on the pc. I have a ps3, a 360 and a new pc and theres about 10 games for each system i bought and haven't even touched yet since all i do is play dota ^.^ I have played Crysiss though so pretty!
For PCs hands down FPS' take reign.
The whole keyboard mouse setup is by far the best.
For MMORPGS PC takes it again.
RTS' also go in favor of the PC
Now for lets say platformers or RPGs id say consoles would be the easiest.

I'd have to say that utter nonsense. It is just as easy, if not easier to pirate on a console game that it is to a PC. And with a pirated console game, you generally have access to the online capabilities of said game, unlike the pirated PC games.

It depends mostly on your preferences concerning games in my honest opinion.
For example famous nintendo series... like zelda, metroid, mario, you need a wii for. (I will ignore emulators in that thread)
But for online games a PC is still highly recommeneded. Also for FPS and TPS, since shooter are much more enjoyable played with mouse instead of controller.
Also what I enjoyed abt consoles a lot in the past, is that you just insert the disc and can play the game instantly. No installation or any weird issues that won't let the game run and cause you to flip a table.
PC is still a must have for other things despite gaming. But for myself I prefer to play on consoles. It's kinda more relaxing to sit on my coach with my controller than infront of my desk.
Still it's a matter of taste, and in the end both, computers and consoles are awesome inventions.

Well, consoles for me. Been gaming for years on it and well, my laptop's pretty well to play some of the latest games. On and off I would play on each of them and always forget that I have work to do.
Particularly, I heard from a friend, true gamers only play on consoles. Don't get angry PC game masters, it's just a quote. Say it's wrong but the truth is always still there.
