Console or PC?

Personally, I prefer to play on PC, even though it needs upgrading to play more recent games, upgrading it will give you more options besides just gaming.
The only reason why I have a PS2 is because it has some exclusive games that PC doesn't have (like God of War, most Megaten games, Final Fantasies and so on). Companies sure want to make people get certain things by releasing exclusive games...

To me It really depends on what you want really. If you are a graphics junkie then PC is probably gonna be better for you(Although games like Killzone 2 Heavy Rain and Uncharted 2 are catching up to PC very quickly) but it's gonna be expensive and you are gonna be upgrading alot and not to mention all kinds of trouble with patches, drivers and all kinds of compatibility crap.
If you wanna just have fun console is better because you buy the game put the disc in and BOOM it works no problems involved. Not to mention there are many genres that the PC just doesn't get like J-RPG's for example. You would never get to play games like Persona 3 and Tales of Vesperia if you were a PC only gamer and that's a shame.

Consoles are always a better solution for game addicts.
Computers crash and sometimes lag or show a weird malfunction or error that you cannot fix easily...
When you're playing a game that needs alot of time to complete, you won't be able to use your computer because your back will hurt after a while xD
When using consoles, you're able to sit anywher and anyhow :) that's a big advantage.
I prefer playing games in consoles but that doesn't mean that I don't use my computers for games... especially online games.

Console. PC gaming is pretty much dead outside of shooters & strategy games.
I've always been a console gamer. I never could make the transition to PC, even I know there's some interesting games for it.
And I prefer JRPGs, which are coming out mostly for consoles.
Besides my PC has neither enough RAM nor a powerful graphic card for the newest games. So I only use it for Internet, sometimes for movies and for working.

It depends on which genre.
If it's a first-person game, then PC.
Anything else is more for consoles..

I agree. First person shooters are practically made for a keyboard and mouse. I just can't get the same amount of control or accuracy that is so critical to staying alive with a controller.
PC's will always provide better graphics, providing you have the money to shell out for a good quality gaming PC. Then again, you will have to resign yourself to the fact that you'll only be state-of-the-art for about six months before games require even more power than your computer has. With the Xbox 360 and PS3 capable of playing on a HD TV, I'm happy to say that most console games provide great graphics for those of us who don't own a two thousand dollar PC.
Point being, if you can stay away from first person shooters, a console is your best bet.

I'm a PC gamer at heart, I have been playing PC games since always and a mouse and keyboard are now natural to me and I greatly enjoyed some classics like Fallout 1/2 (Fallout 3 just isn't as good, it lost all the post apocalyptic appeal in favor of action) or Baldur's Gate and I could name many more but the post would end up being way too long and people would just TL:DR it.
But I also tried to venture into console gaming but the low frame rates or unstable frame rates just kill it for me, aside having to use a controller which makes everything harder than it should be and doesn't allow me to chat is just too much.
Upgrading a PC to keep up with all current games isn't as expensive as most people think, you just need to be smart in your component selection and learn how to overclock safely.
I almost forgot, I also prefer PC gaming a lot more due to the multiplayer experience, being able to chat with teammates is extremely important if you can't use a microphone or don't have one.

In my opinion, PC usually has a lot more playtime than consoles.. Mods, and many other things make the PC great, but I don't think I'd be able to pick between the two. At least with console, you don't have to upgrade your hardware every 4 months.

It depends on what you're playing. RTSs and stuff should be playing on the PC as they're not really playable on consoles. cough*halowars*cough. Anyways. I like the console for rpgs and action games, but it really depends on the person and/or the game.
PC in my books, but only if yours can handle most games out there. I only ever play shooters on PC, games like TF2 or CoD. Analog shooting is terrible for me. But things like fighting games or RPG`s I`d only ever play on a console.
I prefer consoles by far, mostly because I can't run many games on my laptop, but I also find it more convenient to hold a controller than have to use the mouse & keyboard anyway.
I've always prefered console gaming over PC. Though I tend to PC game here and there once in awhile, I just like the easy to use ability of a console. Pop it in and play.
Like many before me have stated It depends. I personally prefer to use my computer for internet usage, and making graphics. That's what PCs were intended for in the first place. Work. I buy consoles because I can play them on the go or hook them up to my big screen no problem. The graphics for console games is a lot better than PC games, because the games for PCs have to be made so that later model computers can run them. Not everyone has a high tech computer or the money to buy one.
Also a lot of people use computers at school and at work all day long. When they get home a lot of times the last thing they want to do is see a computer. They wan to relax watch T.V. or play a game that doesn't involve a computer. Now these are just my opinions.

For long term games, go for the PC, but for short-term games with not much multiplayer, go for PS3.
