Console or PC?
I would have to go for the PC, personally, because of the wide range of functions it has... but strictly speaking about gaming, in my opinion, it would have to be PC also, since it has many 'exclusive' games, eg Starcraft, Warcraft, Diablo, CS, Half-Life 2... and even if some of them were to make it onto a console, it would still be less of a product compared to the one on PC. The PC in my opinion brings a lot of things together, it's got the internet, even though the consoles do too, the functionality of the internet on the console is, in my opinion not as great as the one on PC, overall, in my opinion, PC does things better...
One major problem with the PC is that it can be expensive to get all the parts together, as a lot of people have mentioned before but I reckon it's worth it. Consoles are still good, but not as good as the PC, the choice is difficult though

CONSOLE or PC? DOES ANYONE WANT THE BETTER? IS THERE A BETTER OF THE TWO?
Today's consoles are better than ever. Having built in hard drives, they are competing with PCs for the minds of gamers. You can now access videos (movies), music, and games all from your game system. You can even get a physically demanding work out through interactive consoles. The games themselves are mostly exclusive for the consoles, big hit titles for example: HALO 3, Super Smash Bros Brawl, Metal Gear Solid 4, Grand Theft Auto 4, Burnout Paradise, Guitar Hero and Rock Band just to name a few. These awesome games define the consoles they are designed for, and give life to its gamers. The core game and its story is one thing, but now we have online multi-player through consoles. With all of this in the palm of your hands why go out and waste your lettuce on a crazy expensive PC, because after all, what more can you do with a video game? I mean, consoles have better graphics now anyways; right?
The console gamer is tired of hearing the egos of PC enthusiasts. Because the PC offers nothing more for us................... or does it? Let's ACTUALLY see.
You turn on your console, you turn on the computer.
You start the game (single player on the main story mode)
You beat it and unlock new player models and weapons etc...
Play it again.
Now you start playing online multi-player. Amazing gaming for weeks, months...
You also have LAN matches. MUCH FUN.
Now you... ummm... uh? You.. uh?
Buy the next game right, and repeat the process.
Now you begin thinking to your console infested self "PC doesn't hold a candle to THIS"..........MEANWHILE............
By this time, all across the world and maybe even next door, PC gamers have cycled through this very same process, and they've added several. WHAT THE ?
What could PCs possibly be doing beyond that which the consoles were performing?
Is this "THING" that PC gamers are doing even fun, what the heck could it even be?
Well let's ACTUALLY TRY playing a classic PC game. NAME ONE, ok
FIRST- There's -Knights of the Old Republic- yeah, you may have played it on a particular X themed console with it's awesome story. BUT it also was available for the PC in which you were able to edit your feats (stats) and even play as any character model in the game that you could imagine, not to mention you can now play it in WIDE SCREEN for the PC.
SECOND-[prepare yourself] The entire HALF-LIFE series, HL2 is in the Orange Box for two competing consoles, but it was first for the PC, which can do a "little" bit more.
After playing the game on PC, you may want to get some spectacular SCREEN SHOTS
from any scene in the game, from any angle, and on top of that, with no hud or weapon on the screen for the most amazing hi resolution wallpapers which cannot be found ANYWHERE on the net for your hi res monitor. Oh, I forgot one thing. GARRY'S MOD. What the crap is GARRY'S MOD? It's a ten dollar for life purchase that no console EXCLUSIVE gamer will ever know of. It is a download from the creators of the Orange Box that will require just ten dollars from your back pocket. Garry's Mod in a nutshell, is a program that utilizes the information from your existing Half-Life 2, Episode 1 and 2, Counter Strike, Team Fortress and Portal games from your computer. You don't have to have all of these, you just need the ones you want to be able to play VIA GARRY'S MOD. When in G-MOD you can either play a G-MOD map or play through ANY, yes ANY, STEAM (the makers of the Orange BOX) game. While in the map or game at which you start at any level of your choosing, you can edit the map or level by moving characters and objects around, this is light years ahead of the HALO 3 editing, you also can spawn ANYTHING from the games and MORE (possible thanks to g-mod) spawn crates, barrels, explosives, player models (rag doll and NPC), structures like cranes, walls and fences, vehicles, make things invisible, set things on fire, attach infinite balloons to ANYTHING and watch it float up into the sky (you can actually change the balloons lifting capabilities)...............
I have NOT EVEN begun to explain this amazing program (game if you will).
AND this is just from the core program (GARRY'S MOD). You want MORE?
Go on <garrysmod.org/downloads/> and download from THOUSANDS of maps, models , weapons, vehicles etc............... check it out if you want to know why PC gamers have an "ego" issue.
I'm tired of rattling on and I know you are too, so do all of your console selves a favor and at least KNOW what the PC can do and why its gamers are pointing their fingers. And NO, I don't hate or even dislike consoles, I'm just tired of the ignorance of console exclusive gamers that don't know anything about the PC gaming world.
Oh, and by the way, if you thought the PS3 or even the 360 pushes computer's graphic capabilities around then I've got some info for you: if you see ANY inconsistencies with your console graphics, well, your stuck with it. If I see anything that need tweaking on my computer I just go into the NVIDIA properties and over ride the games graphics so that I get an even better and smoother picture in my game experience, and right now that's without any loss of FPS. That makes way for the most awesome screenshots that aren't found on the internet.
My examples are only a drop in the bucket, so go out and TRY IT, and you don't have to break the bank. The trick is not buying a PC from the store but from the net.

IMHO
It just boils down to, most console gamers can't build a $1,000+ computer to game on it, so they go for the console which is cheaper and can actually get pc-like graphics.
So because of this developer prefer to go where the money is, consoles, although pcs are just better, but still the money is in the consoles. And some of those devs just like to make up excuses like pc piracy and blabla (yeah sure 'cause console games can't be pirated...) as the reason why they don't make pc exclusives, but they don't cause the console market is bigger than the PC market right now.
Anyways, most of the 360 exclusives end on pc at the end, but you have to wait for them (a lot) but in the mean time there are already a bunch of worth while games on pc (TF2, COD4, COD2, CSS, Mass Effect
, HL2, Grid, etc) so go have fun.
I had a 360 and I loved it, until it went RROD on me, and since I don't live in the US I can't get it repaired, so I ended up with a $600 white paper weight. So I'll stick with my pc for now, maybe I'll get a wii to play smash bros on it ^^

It doesnt matter, theres really no point in upgrading the pc anyway cause it casue alot^^
I choose PC, coz i can make him love me!
it purrs when i attach new cooling fans, it's faster when i overcklock it a little and it farts when i overcklock him too much
i can upgrade it in million ways spending zero money on it, i can put cool walls on my monitor, and such
PC can be made to resemble person who use it, can console do that ?

I have both Pc and console game but I don't know if I need to choose one, what the thing will be my choice ?
but one thing is clear, you always need to improve your PC hardware (i.e Crysis is hardware-killer)for playing some game nowadays. console is good but graphic can not overcome the limit.
Now, I'm playing MGS4 with my PS3 ...

Personally, PC FTW!111 you can do so much more on a pc and prices are going down so much. in Aus you can get a quad core cpu, 4gb ram, 88gt and a good mobo for under Aus$1000, which just a bit more then a console.
this is where to consolers say "yeah but thats still more expensive than a console". well the thing is to get the console looking good you also need to have a HDTV >780i (or whatever) which cost Aus$1500-3000.
...but here is the flip side. consoles are for games. thats it! people buy consoles to game, not to net surf or photo shop. and the new control systems are fantastic (wii for example allows for an fps to actually be played with accuracy near to that of a mouse and keyboard set up).
any way, with pc prices as low as they are its better to spend a little more on the core system so that you CAN DO so much more that just game. lets face it. if you want any REAL competitive e-sports, its gotta be pc (eg: Aus$500 super smash bros torney or $5000 css torney, the choice is simple! :)

I say bot are equal to me becasue i have bot consoles (many) and OC, but i think they are both equally good in amny ways.
they both (in some games) have great graphics like , just an opinion of mine, world of warcraft, and halo3 , they both have great graphics, and are well plotted, and aree both rpgs, lol
some of the newer PC games can't really work with the older PCs, and some people dont want to really go upgrade them, and spend money on it.
and some people maybe can't even afford a new game console, or something like that.
just an opinion~ i prefer both, i can't really decide on which is better when it scome to these two things, becuase i the complexity of PC games, because sometimes you can do more on them, and i also like the console games, becuase you dont have to update an account to keep playing, unless you have an online account, but some PC games are free to play, lol and some aren't.
hope that wasn't to confusing, or if it made any sense at all... g(>_>)

I'd choose PC, there are just way too many games for it. And I spend most of my time on the PC in comparison the a console. Most new console games are pretty boring anyway, and a lot of the good ones come out for PC as well. It's just so much easier to make games for the PC, and it has a huge market as well. PC ftw!
Its just that people would rather put a CD in a console and have the game load up.
Another reason is that people would rather have a joystick and stand in front of a Plasma TV then a monitor. Another reason is that a console is cheaper but if you do buy an expensive PC, it will be more worthwhile then the consoles.

You know, you can hook up a PC to a large screen, and they also have controllers for PC. Actually I don't have a 360 but I have the wireless controller + receiver which works great with Xpadder for 2D games.
I have over 55 PC games ranging from classics to exclusives to console ports. There just isn't very much advertisement out there for PC games which is a shame. Too many extremely good games that never get the attention they deserve. I also have an Xbox with 20 games, and a dreamcast with roughly 20 games...
Why limit myself to consoles or PCs?

I personally prefer consoles, but I don't play many PC games.
Comparing the two is like comparing apples to oranges; no way to really compare because they're of different breeds.
You will get much more enjoyment out of playing racing games on a console. Why? Because using up arrow and a mouse to control the direction of your car is just not fun. I would take console for that purpose anyday.
But on the other hand, FPS games are so much better enjoyed on a PC. Keyboard and mouse is a superior form of control when it comes to shooters.
What I mean with these comparison is, there is no way to compare the two, and the fanboys with high egos on both camps need to realize that and cool their heads.

I have rally split views on this. like console games have fixed settings, like you cannot really "upgrade" like increase ram and stuff, so game companies will know what is a limit to how much a console can run, so many of consoles games are at its best as they can make it, on the other hand, companies who make games on PC, will have more trouble, because not all computers are the same so game makers will want to have their game as low requirements as possible for more people to play their game so the quality can not be as god then on the console. also Consoles can be cheaper then a gaming computer. But then since all the consoles can never be "upgraded" they have a limit, where as computer dont so computers can have games like crysis and stuff. (i dont know what i am saying anymoreee)
