Well, I see now why a lot of girls dont play video games
I was playing Combar Arms yesterday and there was a girl playing and pretty much everyone there was asking her to send them naked pictures and shit and if you she had a myspace etc.
Although they might have been doing it as a joke, it makes gamers look bad

Such questions are easily answered with a hail of bullets.
I meet a lot of girls playing online, and I'll tell you this, some of them know how to kick-butt

It even happens on things like Ragnarok Online, despite the characters being tiny and rather pixel-y (though cute!).
Like others have said, you just have to learn how to kick butt so they'll be too busy staring in awe to make such comments.

Actually, you're going about it the wrong way, nekonaota. This would more of be referring to online gaming rather than all gaming in general too, but that's just nitpicking =P.
I've seen both genders play the 'send me nekkid pics plz!' part many a time. It's the internet. There are far more girl gamers than there ever have been and I'm glad. Gaming has never been limited to any gender and it's narrow minded gamers that keep it from expanding more. It's not just a nerd/dork thing it's something that everyone does, regardless of age/gender. Why, I got my girlfriend into a free MMO and we play rather frequently and I can't say that she's been harassed by any guys online.
There will always be people like that out there, it's just how life goes. It doesn't put a bad label on gamers, but rather on the individual. There will always be some pervert out there that 'must know how hot this girl/guy that he/she knows online is'. It's those of us out there that don't give a hoot that gotta remind the public that it doesn't matter. What matters is that you are enjoying yourself and having a good time.

When I used to play WoW, I saw the same thing. For the record, im a guy, but i'd often see guys around in my guild or otherwise who'd do stuff like that. It's really pretty sad I reckon...
Ahhh its just cuz all those internet tough guys say whatever they want into the headset, a lot of which they probably would never say outside/without friends with them. I have a lot of girl-friends that take a big interest in gaming and just try to have fun and ignore the losers on the other end.

I don't think that just boys can play in games -.- girls are good at those things, too (but not me, i'm such a terrible gamer)
I should have been more specific XD and maybe made the title more relavent.

I know many hardcore female gamers.
Two of them especially are very fanatical about gaming, and they contrast quit5e well too, one owns all the next gen consoles and has everything she could possibly want in terms of gaming, damn woman... and the other one is very bitter due to gender bias from her parents stunting her growth in terms playing computer games since an early age. Both of which are relatively formidable in terms of gaming, so gender is irrelevant given equal oppurtunity for gaming.

Of course Girls can kick ass in a game.In a previous issue of EGM there was an article of a girl umm i dont remember her name quite well kicking the butt of "Shoe" who is the Editor-in-Chief of EGM.So it doesnt matter.And about what you said the Myspace and everything well thats quite pathetic to ask in a game and also as hates said =3 you can give your answer by a hail of bullets or just Frag em

Good sometimes fodder that serious chevere to meet women haci I am not myself of whom she thinks that a little variety entiendase variety without bothering nor doing damage to him to nobody causes that it changes a little the daily routine I suppose that everything to quel that encantadisimo was playing with her estaria to see naked jajajajajaja I imagine the faces of them
That is a very sad thing, video games are such wonderful media entertainment. Its a shame how a few would ruin the experience for the whole. If I am a girl I would quit playing if i get harass every time i play. It became more of a stress than fun. But then again you can always ignore them and go do some quest! Its just like dealing with trolls; ignorance is bliss. (I think i used that phrase a bit wrong but bare with me pls >.>)
