There was a female arena team at wow.. at least i thought so,their name was sth like girl power or whatsoever.. and we lost the match with them.I felt pretty bad with thinking me and my male friends losing to a few girls : P
Personally...I like telling guys that i playing video games cuz its gets them mad but then later on they will be challenging me to game them..and yes i have been tease for being a girl that plays alot of video games but thats fine with me as long as they dont touch my video games.

Nothing so extreme was to being asked about my personal info, but I agree with blacksugar 11, playing with guys is more fun, besides not a lotta' girls I know of are hardcore gamers, or gamers at all 
Rofl the harassment is always why I play male characters in MMO's. The second I play a female character I'm typically asked if I'm dating anyone or if they can marry me in-game. Some men are just... too much too soon.

Ok, I play video games and I'm a girl, but I agree that most girls are not hardcore gamers, but I do like playing the fighting games with guys, whenever I win their faces are priceless.

And even if my avatar is a girl, eventually someone asks me if I'm really boy

I say some of the coolest people (girl people) are the ones who play video games. I find they're nicer than some of the other girls. "Oh, like a guy who plays video games...ew! They're so stupid!" Man how I hate those comments... I feel like they think that what their doing is the only thing right.
You can really connect with others online and you don't have to know their race, gender or age to really connect together (OK, that's just gamers in general) but yeah.. I still remember when I first killed my first boss in Diablo.. I totally freaked with joy and my brother even gave me a hi-five~ Those girls who are like that may just use msn or something, but when you play online to work together, that's just awesome.
I hope I didn't just go off topic... If I did...then...um...
Grils should totally get into gaming! It's still a good way to socialize with people! And you can still talk about the serious stuff, and the silly stuff!

That's pretty cool to see girls into gaming. The majority of the male gamers need to learn to be more mature. As soon as a girl (from what I've seen and I'm sure many have done or seen as well) always go "ZOMG YOUR A GIRL, SEND ME PIC" or they just flirt lol. Really now, why not just leave them be? If a girl beats you at a game so what, not like it matters, it'll be like any other person having more skill than you at a game. I remember when I was playing Killzone 2 and there was a girl on the mic. My team went all goo-goo-ga-ga about it. She joined my squad and I just played as usual and gave orders on what to do to win the game. These kids really need to grow up.

See no problem with girls playing game. Actually my reason of playing boys' games are to defeat them, especially those looking down on me, sure feels good :D But lately I only play otome games, since I got bored of those other genres
