Yeah, I know some girls who're really into MMORPGs for some reason. I don't really know why though. I think games were originally intended to appeal to young boys and then it sort of expanded from there, so naturally guys will be the larger fanbase, but still there are tons of female gamers out there. But they probably have more important things to do than play video games all day like some of us.

I play Video games and I'm a girl, but it doesn't mean I'm tomboy, because some girls are enjoying in video games, but I spend MORE time on it, because I'm used to be alone and doing nothing and I think of playing VGs.
And I think most girls are having less time on VGs because they have more important things to do like what zephyr said. I have less time on friends when I'm home because I don't go outside much.

There's nothing really wrong with girls playing video games. I mean lots of my female friends do enjoy mmorpg.

My sister actually plays on her own PS2 and DSLite. Also, my brother's girlfriend also plays (whenever he comes over from Vancouver, they get together and play either Guitar Hero or Rock Band).
As a girl gamer, I have to say all the boys who look at girls differently (in the abusive way) because they like games are fags. I adore games, and couldn't actually see my life without them, but I don't want my passion for gaming to be a source of a guy's masturbation. I've grown up with Zelda, Sonic, all the classics, moving onto Final Fantasy, Kingdom hearts, etc, all sorts of fighting games such as Tekken, Soul Calibur, more casual games such as Pokemon, Professor Layton but it doesn't really affect who I am. Guys who think otherwise are twats and it's perfectly normal for girls to enjoy games like guys do without being sexually harrassed.

Well yeah I think I hate it when that happens even more than the girls seeing as how it makes gaming seem like a retarded fantasy area for nerd who can't get a life, it really ticks me off when people think like that or impose such ideas upon others, out of it all I'd have to say that about half of the gaming community is indeed of such nature, but only the begging games or such, even if it was a joke it's one of the lamest things ever, it totally makes you look like an idiot. On the other hand, real gamers, and here I mean decent gamers, not hardcore gamers, will most likely keep playing and enjoy the game rather than make himself look like a looser just to entertain other losers

I know some girls playing video games but the topics are horrible. For example, they play some games about boys love...This is very terrible for me and I think they should not play these kinds of games.

I'm used to play with my sister, she likes to play many kind of games. Also my Mom likes to play some games, like Mario party, Kindom hearts and final fantasy , she is better at final fantasy than me

From what i see of girls playing video games, the general girl gamer population is just plain bad. Don't get me wrong, some are good, my sister is supposedly a good WoW player.. Not like it's a hard game though and a pretty chill chick from my EQ2 guild is good. IMO Girls are just fun to play with, and talk about whatever while playing and kicking some ass.
I have nothing wrong with girls who do play but, I'd love to play CoD4 (or Any fun game for a matter of fact, Planet Agenda real soon) with a chick who's good, isn't annoying and has a sense of humor. I haven't found one yet.

Im a girl and i play online games. Sometimes i play both male and female charactes. You can never really tell which a person is unless you actually know them.
