But seriously, there are a lot of female gamers. (Like me!) I'm not hard-core or anything but I just ignore comments like that.
By the way, Combat Arm fails. Map and gun wise, not graphics. I'd rather play COD4 than CA any day...

*ahem* I am an avid supporter of girl gamers. Females should definitely enjoy the exhilarating leisure times that we all share when we are immersed in a game. Who knows, they may bring more innovative and creative games to our shelves as a new target group ***as long as its not a barbie game***.

I agree on the comment posted above.. they're hotter when they rock on DMC. i mean, the irony of it is something to be seen. though, it doesn't come as common as they may seem. i'd love to see female gamers and play against them most of the time.
it would be a lucky day for me if a got a good challenge in Tekken from a girl. it's more fun whether you win or lose, i'd still be impress either way.

I don't think that a lot of girls play games, usually you can't ell though, there has been only one case where i found a girl playing online with me but never ever have i seen one
I'm a girl and I kick a lot of butt on video games. I mean I beat my guy friends on line, but I mostly play fighting games like Dead or Alive and Soul Calibur.
Ya guys ask girls that play game to expose themselve that's why some girl or most try to keep it quiet that they're girl but i've seen lots of girl that are very good gamer. but asking girl question like that will get you nothing but hate just go google what you want
As long they're not soccer moms trying to beat me on Street Fighter, then I'm fine with it. :P Nah, I'm just kidding, but still, girl gamers are quite interesting to have when you want to fight someone other than a...well another guy.
It pisses me off when the douchebags on Live start harassing girls.
Gah, I hate people on Live. They're horrible for their attitude and etiquette for the most part. Insulting people is often considered a joke to a lot of people, and really, it's annoying above anything else.
Granted, I also dislike it when talented girl gamers belittle other people due to the lack of respect from the general gaming community they received. It's really annoying and it makes it difficult for me to play with my brother (he's a little sensitive...especially with the MMOs).

Some people do the "send naked pics please" thing as a joke, they don't expect you to do it ofcourse, its just assholes making fun at the expense of others, its just that there are more of them online in games.
I never realized that guys find girls that play video games attractive. It made me laugh when my boyfriend told me its one of the things he found really attractive when he first met me. I always assumed it made me kinda geeky

It's so sad that girls also encounted this kinda problem.. as a gamer myself.. i also think that some of them are really too inmatured... sad case..
Don't rule out the fact that some girls actually like to prey on the fact that gamer guys like girls who game and will dish out the online game cash for them (for pictures, or just to "be nice" and get on the girl's good side).
In the wonderful World of Warcraft you see this quite a bit. Gamer girls will sometimes get loot over others purely because they're a girl and some of the guys playing don't exactly get out much yet still want to interact with women (even over the internet). I can't blame them, but at the same time it can come off as some sort of online prostitution. There was a girl on my server (who both will remain anonymous) who had cyber sex with an individual in one of the best guilds on the server just so she could get into that guild and get gear--and it worked. She succeeded.
I particularly don't like people in WoW knowing I'm a woman. I try not to use gender-specific words/terms and basically try to keep them in the dark. When some people figure out my gender it usually follows with a slew of tells of people wanting to know what I look like, how much I weigh, what I like to do, how big my boobs are, and it's really degrading--or at least I find it to be so.
So there are two types of women who game out there, at least when it comes to MMORPGs. :)

Actually, I know some guys who pretend to be girls to get loot in a similar manner. They'll 'play around' in order to get free items. Having a female character and being friendly can go a long way, apparently. It's actually rather humorous, to be honest. Like for example for a game like Diablo II or Ragnarok Online, I've got female characters and I get hit on by guys just for being a female character. Hell, I've gotten free crap for no reason without even saying a word. However, I'd be lying if I didn't say I've given out free items before too. Though, that's generally to anyone =x.
