Girls Playing video games
I know a lot of girls playing video games, and when I say games, it's all kind(RPG , tactics...). I saw a girl playing KOF 2002 and she was awesome at that XD.
So , no big deal about this. Everyone can play what they want.
I can't make any comments on MMORPG 'coz I don't play Online games :P

Girl's gaming? A few weeks back I was up in Everret at a convention. Halo 3 tournament rolls around, myself and my brother sign up and do pretty well. Semi finals come around and we are pitted against a 9 year old girl and her mother. We got our asses handed to us for 50 kills while we only had 20. It was freaking awesome. They went on to the finals where they faced the mother's husband and son. Apparently, from what I got out of the father, all they play at home together is Halo 3. They seriously could have been professional. I'm proud to say I got my butt kicked by a 9 year old girl. More power to her.

I'm a guy but, I stand by girls that play video games *stands on hill and waves 'girl power' flag* In fact, different genders think differently, so whereas a guy in Halo 3 might run at you blindly, a girl might find a way to hit you that you never would have thought of
I play XLive at my friend's house and readily look forward to getting my ass chainsawed, or stuck by many girls that just happen to be patrolling the lounges. There's nothing wrong with it. Its refreshing.

I'm a total completist so playing RPGs allows me to be as anal retentive as possible without harming anyone but my thumbs :)

There are many girls who beast online. Especially FPS games. There's a professional all-girl clan who tears it up in Halo 3 MLG. It's really hard to get into MLG, which should show how good their team is.

Well, being a girl... and being a gamer... I can say with certainty: Yes. Girls play video games. Maybe not every girl on the planet is a gamer, but then again, not every guy on this planet is either.
Speaking in limited high school groupings, there's an odd rift between the girls who are interested in gaming and the girls that aren't. To me, it always seems like the "popular girls" are hardly ever gamers, and a lot of the time the "nerdy girls" are. (Yet, you would think that any "popular girl" would see that gaming, or at least pretending to, would give them an easy excuse to hang out with the guys.)
Yes, I have noticed that in a lot of online games with chat abilities... if they find out you happen to be female, jerks will hound you. But, it really does depend on the age group the game appeals to.

I'm a female gamer...but I do it all wrong. example: I play ragnarok online, but I don't even do PvP, though the whole game centers around kicking each others' butts. nope, I moreso just help out the n00bs and kick back in conversation, and level with a small group of people on occasion. I'm a casual gamer, and as far as online games go, I stick around for the communities.
console games...I'm pretty casual about them too - I'm generally a generation console or two behind everyone else, and sometimes never get around to beating the games. I'm just now getting around to playing Majora's Mask, as well as the Zelda Oracles games.

I think in my opinion it is pretty "Hot". Not that I would ask for nude photos or anything that is quite disturbing. I mean it is the fact there are girls out there with my intrests. I may even marry a girl that plays video games, just so we can play together and she proabably won't get mad if I am playing them.

That is not entirely accurate. Girls usually play like guys can. I find many girls playing the Star Wars Battlefront game. I also see them playing Halo online, not to mention Star Wars Republic commando.
Contrary to popular belief, girls DO play video games despite the harassment. Just learn to ignore it and kick that person's ass in what ever game you're playing. (8 Girls are now getting more involved in genres such a horror, action, shooter, RTS. It keeps increasing, I myself am a gamer (: Just ignore those perverse retards.
