PS3 is like one of the best console. I think this console will continue forever. :) So many great games for PS3.
I hope it doesn't die. I bought mine a little over a year ago, and it'd be such a waste if it went down under. I don't care if it beats out 360 or not, but rather, I just want it to make good games that PS3 owners can enjoy.
EG: I thought Valkyria Chronicles was one of the best games I've ever played in my life. Sadly, it didn't sell as much.
It won't die, but, Sony's really gotta start coming up with better plans to sell it.

Dying? Not a chance. It may be losing money at the moment - but it has a "10 year life" built around it. That is to say, they plan on keeping it around for 10 years, and that's how they're basing their business strategy.
Hopefully things start picking up in terms of sales, then again Sony also needs to smarten up with how they run their business; but it's not like they can just lower the price to move more units... since they start building each console at a deficit.
It's a tough position, but luckily Sony doesn't JUST make game consoles. It'll be interesting to see what happens down the road, but I highly doubt Sony will just let it die. Especially after enjoying a nice 10 years at the top with the PS2.

True to that. Sony is a Fortune 500 company. They've got the brains to keep the PS3 from sinking.
That said, the only way that anyone will even want to buy their console would be if there is a price drop, but in this terrible economy, as it is, any more price drops would mean a greater loss for Sony. But, I think it's better to sell than not selling at all.
The thing that Sony is doing right, is their focus on making good 1st party games like God of War i. Killzone 2 turns out pretty good, and that may help out Sony a little, until the hype dies down.

If ps3 does dies...i'll cut my head off for you den...lol, ps3 is the latest consoles available for any gaming entertainment, as you can see all the top games now revolve around ps3. live RE 5, FF 13, MGS 4, Prince Of Persia 2, and so on, so let me ask you now do you think it has any chance dying?
Hm....I think that PS3 just isn't as popular as the x-box360. Sure it has more capabilities like the blu-ray and all but the price before in comparison to the x-box was such a huge difference. Plus they almost have the exact same games now just htat the x-box has more games than ps3.
Its not dying , like others before me posted its gaining momemtum... i honestly think that sony will eventually win due to the good lineup coming up this year ... let's just hope that it will live up to the hype not like the first killzone... 
I cant say it will ever happen... PS2 is still selling games, so the even more revolutionary PS3 wont. PS3 also has many exclusive titles ( too many for Microsoft to buy) and many developers support it whole heartedly

PS3 will not die because they still have great exclusive games like God of War 3, killzone 2 and Metal Gear solid 4 that will keep PS3 hopes alive.

Playstation will always be there.. unlike its predecessors which came out early than the consoles that followed, it has sucky graphics which the consumers opt for the newer consoles (ie. dreamcast)
anyway i believe ps3 did came out late, and will bloom late because of its badas$ specs to overtake the competition in the long run. prolly a marketing strategy by sony.

It wont die, but the winner on the new generation console seems to be XBOX360, its cheaper, its online feature is better and it has more games than the PS3

I'm hoping the system doesn't die out. It has so much potential to be a hit. I mean the PS2 was successful and it still is today. I don't see whats keeping the PS3 from catching up to its predecessor.

I don't think it'll die... besides, you get most of your fantasy games on that system.
The 360 has the mass majority of shooter games while thew Wii has a little of everything for younger audiences. Besides, I'm one of those Sony fans XD I want to get a PS3~ T^T

What are you guys talking about? PS3 is a great system. Have you seen the line up for 2009? Uncharted 2, MAG, GoW3, InFamous, Killzone 2, Heavy Rain, Fat Princess, Yakuza 3, Ratchet & Clank Future Untitled Sequel, Gran Turismo 5 and some other ones I can't remember off the top of my head. And what about the other consoles? 360? Wii? Yeah not that many exclusives. Regardless though, all the systems are great, why all the hate towards PS3? PS3 won't die lol... Actually the PS3 has been doing very well. PS3 has had far greater exclusives than the other consoles. Also 360 for shooters just has Halo 3, Gears 2 and CoD 4/(W@W). Those are basically the top shooters... that's about it. Some people prefer it to 360 some don't (regarding CoD because it is one of the most played FPS). But a true gamer can play it on ANY console and not complain about which console has "better controls".

The ps3 won't die. cmon...look at this year's line-up of games. many are ps3 exclusives. yea...ff13 is goin to the xbox360 but it'll certainly be different from the ps3 version.
