Will the PS3 die???
My opinion is probably biased since i have a 360 but if the PS3 doesn't die its never going to be an extremely available system. So few people buy it because it costs so much and if they lower the cost Sony wont be able to afford making them, That and you can't play original PS games and several original series for it are going split system like FFXi and Resident Evil going from only Nintendo and Sony to Microsoft, I can only see die hard MGS fans or someone interested in Resistance buying it for any other reason unless they have a lot of Blue Ray and no player.
I don't imagine that it will die. It is a quality piece of hardware. The game library is starting to look impressive and is just starting to gain momentum. The fact that you get a blue-ray player and a media centre makes it well worth it.
As far as losing exclusives I wouldn't worry to much about that. They still have enough with more on the way. Also rumor has it that the next MGS is going to be PS exclusive again. The PS3 has a lot to offer and a lot of people are coming around to it. With the price drops and rumor of another it will continue to sell well.
Free online also make the system very attractive.

Here is a press conference http://e3.gamespot.com/press-conference/sony-e3/?tag=topslot;thumb;1 that a friend said they talking about FF13 and i think Microsoft are getting a piece of the game too now so i don't think its going to be exclusive anymore.
Ps3 wont die don't worry but Microsoft are ranking in the most cash with consoles and games there is far more available and cheaper than ps3 this is why its really the cost of the ps3 is still too much.
It won't die lol ps3 is supirior to the 360 especially for the hardware part 360 is too buggy and its only + is that xbox live shit w/e long live PS :D
The 360 zealots really should take a step back and consider the company and how they treat their base. Remember 360s being released early so they could fight ps3? You go get a brand new 360...and it dies after a few months...Microsoft doesn't care about gaming in the same way Sony does.

well i not want to start flame but My console last me 1 year and a bit then i got my 360 fixed for free and they gave me 1 month free gold subscription for the 2 week i didn't get to play, and so far its been 6 months and i play many hours 1000+ and its not break on me yet, i think some people just unlucky but yeah ps3 has better hardware however much more expensive and not as many cool games like the 360 has, I'm not on nobody side i own both consoles but so far iv only 7 ps3 games and on my 360 i have 28 because there are more games to play that are good on the 360 that I enjoy playing.

PS3 will always have games coming but it wont mean that the games will be good. if the PS3 does die from games. it will not die from Blue Ray movies. seeing that thats the only thing capable of playing blue ray well

I doubt the PS3 will die anytime soon. There are still games coming out for it.
No the ps3 isnt dieing there just starting to make proper use with what is inside it << meaning hardware >> also they are now starting to bring more games out for it and there price has dropped loads since release. Also there customer care use to be bad but now its improved i know because my mates one broke sumthin to so with its cpu they sent out a replacement out the next day. So i dont think they are dieing

Did you know that what you just said is a contradiction? It is.
When a system dies, they stop production. When production stops, it means that the system will be harder to find.
As for in terms of availability, isn't the fact that it's difficult to get a hold of means that it's selling? I certainly thought so. Also, in response to another part of your post, the PS3 has actually had improved sales in the past year in comparison to previous years.

It's been confirmed for some time now that Final Fantasy 13 will be appearing on the 360 as well. Hell, it's the main reason why the Bluray version of Final Fantasy Advent Children won't have the FF 13 demo on it when it's released Stateside, yet the Japan version does. It'll still be a matter to see how the quality compares as well as the number of discs 360 owners will need to swap.

Nah the PS3 won't die cause like FF versus 13 is one of the titles that is going to be PS3 exclusive and alot of FF fans are definately going to buy a PS3 just for that. Also if you guys didn't know but most likely FF13 will show up on the PS3 first before the 360 so I mean the die hard FF fans are probably not going to wait for the 360 one to come out. I also believe that if it had some more big titles then the PS3 would definately make a big hit for sure. But yea I don't exactly think the PS3 is going to die.
Well after E3 this Year I have to say that it's only a matter of time until the PS3 overtakes the Xbox 360. Microsoft showed off "Project Natal" which in my opinion is nothing more then a glorified Eye toy and the only real piece of interesting tech behind it was Milo and many people have already gone on record as saying that mass amounts of the Milo video and demo were fake and there was a guy behind the scenes controlling Milo's interactions with the people which completely eliminates the point of tech like that if you ask me.
Sony on the other hand more interesting games(At least for me personally) Had a big bomb shell in the announcement of Final Fantasy 14(Which is a MMO for those that don't know) and they also brought their own motion control tech to the table. Although unlike MS they did everything on stage in real time to show that it really worked. No cheesy videos with fake CG and bad actors. All real on stage demos that proved the tech could do what they said and I have to say it was quite impressive. Not only was it incredibly accurate it was used to show how it can be used for real world gaming applications and not just gimmick game play like the Wii. Like Controlling a RTS for example. And it worked quite well.
Now if you ask me the console war is really just now starting to get into the point of time to show that the 360 is gonna start getting overshadowed by the PS3 soon. Good example is that MS choosing to stick with DVD is now starting to become a big mistake. Even racing games like Forza are gonna start shipping on more then one disc. Now that is not a good thing. It costs the devs more money to do that and in the case of games like Final Fantasy 13 in which the game may end up on 5-6 discs in pressing fee will be enormous. On the other hand We have yet to see a game on the PS3 use more then a single Blu-ray.
Another example is we have publishers like EA and Activision saying that the 360 has been maxed out whereas the PS3 has only just begun to show it's power. Now no one need look for further proof of this then games like Uncharted 2 which looks leaps and bounds ahead of anything out there right now. Even the 360's "Graphical powerhouse" Alan Wake which they always feel the need to add the words this is all real time game play to whatever video they are showing doesn't even remotely compare to what the PS3 is doing at at the moment. And if the Devs are to be believed it's only going to get better as time goes on.
It seems at this point with MS bringing Project Natal to the forefront that they are no longer going to try to compete with the PS3. Recently a MS exec said the 360 is staying around for 10 years. Now I don't know about you but I don't think the 360 has the power to do that unless that is MS turns it into the pseudo Wii with Project Natal which is what it seems MS is aiming for.

Nah I think that Microsoft can keep up with Sony easily even if Sony are getting better,
If anything they will get neck and neck with each other, graphics or hardware don't make the games good, prime example is the wii might not look good but it sure plays some games good, specifically designed for family, wives and girls, anyways its the playability lastability and how fun the game is, graphics just make a great addon to the game.
plus look at the size of games you can play on 360 has in comparison to the ps3 which is no longer backwards compatible with ps2 games -.- that in itself is why Sony can lose not will only can, everything should be backwards compatible I don't care if Playstation 3 can cook bread or eggs it just needs to be a games console nothing more. If i wanted more id buy a standalone product to watch blueray movies, who uses sony laser for movies when it would eventually die out i could play games on ps3 for more than 12 hours a day thats enough to destroy the laser later unless i use it for blueray as well, then it would die sooner.

I'll die...when PS4 comes out :3
just give it some time...sony has plans, you just saw what they have in mind in the E3. Plus, with the new Final Fantasy 13 and 14, it will force many to switch console...at least in japan...
