Never really liked playstations...... :P xbox seems to have more options and choices for my usage

I believe that the PS3 is doing fine. It has some exclusives, but I don't that's the reason why I think it will not die. For one thing, it has a blue-ray player, and it comes with wireless connection and the online part is totally free. I know the xbox360 have many of the games as the PS3, but I think the PS3 is far behind from losing the competition.

I don't think it's going to die. It's still a very young system. Plus, it will be a while for the Playstation 4 to come out, so the PS3 will be here until it gets ursurped by the PS4.

PS3 has been taking a while to warm up but it's getting hotter these days. I would never buy a 360 because of the hassle and likelihood of it breaking and because I despise the "Shooter" genre.
PS3 is my choice because i've been a fan of MGS, FF, SH, RE, and atlus ports. The 360 may have a few of these titles but that isn't argument enough for me to spend money on something that is very likely to break. I hate playing games in First Person. I hate games where the purpose is to just shoot. I hate colorful generic rpg's with nothing going for them but the fact that they are a rpg.
The xbox and the 360 embody all the things I hate about "gaming". There are those who feel the way I do and we'll keep the PS3 alive until something truly innovative happens. The video game industry is an ugly artless monster these days.

Its doing fine, if you remember the xbox 1 and the gamecube sold like this also, and they still banked on those consoles, mainly nintendo

Speaking as a owner of all 3 systems i play my PS3 the most, while my 360 is sitting in my basement being broken(i have had to get 5 new xboxs due to the "red ring" error so that got annoying). PS3 may not have as many exclusive titles but that is no reason to not buy a non exclusive game for your ps3. But I can assure people that ps3 is alive and well and is here to stay.

Like the PS2, I think the PS3 will gain more popularity the longer it stays on the market. And it will definitely last the longest for the current console generation due to it more powerful processor.

And game-wise, the PS3 has a lot of good exclusives and will continue to have good exclusives, unlike the overrate exclusives which belong on the X360 *cough*Halo, Gears of War *cough*. Current exclusives include Metal Gear Solid 4, Little Big Planet, Valkyria Chronicles, Demon's Souls etc.

Upcoming Exclusives: Heavy Rain, Final Fantasy Versus Xi, JP Final Fantasy Xi (In Japan, FFXi is a PS3 exclusive) and The Last Guardian to name some.

So to sum it up, the PS3 will definitely not die.

No, the question is i think ps2 and 3 are differents consoles and they shouldn't stop doing ps2 games, and i hope the same happens with ps3.

Many of the games that are coming are only available for PS3 so people will be forced to buy it lol.

The ps3 has contributed a lot to sony reporting a loss for this past year(hasn't happened since like 1993). There were a lot of rumors about price cuts last year and once again analysts say the ps3 must cut a hundred dollars if it wants to survive it is just too expensive for it's lack of games (people see it more as a bluray player than a gaming machine right now because of that). There are rumors of 100 dollar price drop and slim 120gb ps3 in august, possibly both at the same time or could be unrelated looking forward to it if true.

Sony should really shut up and starting boosting up their exclusive games (with other things than retarded viral hype), as well as supporting the developers to make better games.

If I remember correctly, back in the day a lot of developers were complaining a lot because the support from Sony was... null, and the really complex PS3 programming didn't help in changing their opinion. In top of that, the development kits they received were all in japanese, no guidelines or anything in english.

PS3 may do decent, however I don't think it will be the leading console of this generation. It doesn't matter how many exclusives it has, as long as it's expensive and with such a low market penetration, it will always be outstanded by Microsoft's console.

And before someone complains, I do have a PS3 and I enjoy it a lot. I must admit, though, that I bought it just because of the quality aspect. If X360 didn't have the red rings of death, I would have chosen that console instead.
