After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

In America you might as well use it a paper weight you know.

I'm sorry to be rude, but you couldn't be more wrong.

The system, which has been stated by numerous other members, had a slow start. It's starting to gain speed and with the up and coming release of LittleBigPlanet, I got a feeling that this 'paper weight' is going to get quite a bit of attention. Roughly 7 out of every ten people I've talk to own a PS3 in the States. Keep in mind that I've worked retail at both a local video game place and GameStop. Hell, I'd say half of those actually got rid of their 360s to get a PS3.

lightsoulreaper
I have to say PS3 must cost a lot in developing games for then cuz Square Enix had to jump ship and make A very popular game such as Final Fantasy 13 for Xbox 360.

They are still making it for the PS3. They are just expanding their market to increase their profit. Why would a company like Square-Enix, who has such deep pockets that it can affort to make some of the worst games I have ever played, be afraid to spend a little money? They had already started development for the game on the PS3 as well, so why scrap that to go work on the 360? Now that is what I would call wasting money. It really doesn't have much to do with expenses. If anything, it's a more difficult system to develop for because the technology is so new. I think it's a smart move because they now know that people who play RPG's have a 360. Still, I doubt it's anything to really fear, considering how greatly lacking the original Xbox was in the RPG area. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if Tales of Vesperia came over to PS3, since Eternal Sonata is doing that. Heck, maybe they'll add some extra bells and whistles like they did with Eternal too.

*Le sigh*

To further elaborate on Cy's epic post of truth, to all those who are using Final Fantasy 13 as a foreboding element to your conspiracy theories I'd like to remind you of a couple things.

1. The 360 version hasn't even started development phases yet so the PS3 is getting it first
2. The graphics will be stronger on the Playstation 3 due to development being so far ahead on the PS3 version without any past consideration of 360's technical limits
3. To emphasis on Cy's point more, the deal was made because more Westerners have 360s than PS3s right now (Yes, analyze that as you wish, I know a lot of you will be wrong anyway) and what do Square-Enix care about ladies and gentlemen? Yes, that's right. Cold hard cash. Now if we put two and two together... Gasp! What do you know?! A 360 title sounds ideal!
4. It's ONE game. Are you seriously saying a whole console revolves around ONE game? Especially when RPGs are decreasing in popularity in the West? C'mon.

That being said, I shall retreat and watch again. Toodle-oo!

Everyone needs to remember as well that Final Fantasy Versus 13 is still a PS3 exclusive and knowing Nomura-san will remain so as he is a bit of a Sony Fanboy. So the PS3 is the only way to get the COMPLETE Final fantasy 13 experience. As some have stated what is happening with the PS3 is almost EXACTLY what happened with the PS2. It had a slow start because of lack of games but look where the PS2 is now. It is one of the most successful consoles to be released.

There are plenty of AAA exclusives and plenty more coming like Resistance 2, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, Valkryia Chronicle, Final Fantasy Versus 13, White Knight Chronicle and Heavy Rain just to name a few and thats not even counting the exclusives that are unannounced such as Uncharted 2 and the Next Ratchet and Clank which is supposed to be coming sometime next fall and more then likely Kingdom Hearts 3. You can also be sure there will be far more games then those that I mentioned. Lets not forget that Tokyo Game Show is just around the corner and I am sure that we will hear some great PS3 related news.

IN truth ps3 is running strong i just got one and i love it games are amazing and the system is a freckin power house of media wares. The wii is dying slowly day by day horrible children games are flooding the console and if they were fun it be cool but none of them are and if they are they get dull fast. Bottom line PS3 and Xbox 360 rock the wii is whats dying

The Problem with the Wii is that people see it as a toy not a gaming console. So while it may be selling a crap load no one is playing it and software sales are down. Like BladeNinja said its alot of kids games and Shovelware(rushed piles of crap for those that don't know).

I also agree with Blade in that I have a PS3 and I have played tons of awesome games that can only be played on PS3 like FolkSoul. Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet and Clank Future, Resistance and Disgaea 3. These are all great games and you can be sure that more and more will be coming in the coming months and years to come.

I really cant see it failing. With games like Metal Gear 4, Resistance, Resistance 2, LittleBigPlanet, Home, Motorstorm, etc... How can it fail? Plus theres Final Fantasy versus Xi, which is going to be epic.

Not only that PS3 has free online and built in wifi. You would normally have to pay for this on the 360.

If Sony doesn't change its attitude soon, the PS3 will become a really expensive dust collector. While it is true that the PS3 has more power than the 360 and the Wii, what good is power without games? The PS3 basically has one good exclusive in Metal Gear, but that is not enough to make gamers go out and spend hundreds when they can buy a 360 (which is now the cheapest console of the three) that has several great exclusives. The biggest blow to the PS3 was probably the loss of Final Fantasy Xi as an exclusive, as it will be brought over to the 360 at a later date. Many Playstation fanatics claim that games like Resistance 2 and Killzone 2 can save the PS3, but how could they if the Xbox has games of the same genre which are much better? *cough* Halo and Gears of War *cough* I mean, really... who wants to play Killzone 2 if nobody wanted to play Killzone 1? In order to save the PS3, Sony is going to have to lock in some good exclusives. They couldn't even keep GTA 4 out of the hands of Xbox fans, and the release of Rock Band 2 for the 360 prior to that of the PS3 was also a big blow. If Sony can lock in more exclusives and re-establish a central figure to stand behind (as Xbox as the Master Chief and Nintendo has Mario), then perhaps there is still hope for the PS3.

I don't think it can really be called a biggest blow, considering that I wouldn't doubt the game will be out on the PS3 for roughly a year before they release it on the 360. No, I don't know but I'm estimating based upon development time. At the end of the day, it's going to come down to if people are patient enough to wait for it.

Yet many people say that Halo 3 is way over-rated and had no redeeming features minus the multiplayer, which shouldn't sell a game by itself. At the end of the day, something like this comes down to personal basis. Have you played the first Resistance? Have you checked up on Killzone 2 at all? I was highly disappointed with Halo 3 and Gears of War is a great game, but you can't really compare a 3rd person shooter to two first person. Don't get me wrong, though. When a game like Halo 3 can sell the system by itself, that speaks volumes. I just didn't think it was really as good as so many people have made it out to be.

If you remember the PS1 days, Crash Bandicoot was the starring mascot for Sony for the longest time. Plus, I'm not sure how this'll help sell the system. The PS2 did amazing and they didn't have a 'central figure'. I can see what your getting at, I just don't see how it's suppose to help sales at the end of the day.

I'm not trying to be a dick and pick apart your post, just things I wanted to comment on. No offense is intended. Really.

I do personally think that there should be more exclusives between consoles. Too many games are multiple consoles. I remember when it matter owning a separate system. Now, it's too much pick and choose. You also have to remember that the 360 has been out for a year longer than the PS3 and gone though colossal system problems (Red Ring of Death anyone?). Microsoft can drop the price of their systems, but if they don't actually fix the problems, then what's the point?

Excuse me? One, both games haven't been released so you have absolutely no basis of judgement and two, that sounds like quite an Xbot opinion to be quite honest. Halo's reception was an even divide in regards to gamers, sure, a lot of people love it but a lot of people also dismissed it as highly over-rated. Gears of War as well, whilst some find it amazing, some of us don't find it to be that great. As for Killzone 2, well, you should really keep a closer eye on the gaming community. Hype for that game is quite big, it has been since that first trailer it showed way back when. Why would they want to play it? Because it's gone through drastic and needed rehauls? Because it looks great? It actually looks epic this time? Do you NEED to be a fan of the first one to be excited for the second?

Like Cy, I don't want to sound like a dick but your argument is fairly weak. Whilst I may agree with you on the fact that Sony needs to shake up their attitude involving exclusivies as the console *at the moment* lacks any big name powers but it's far from, as you seem to be implying, a useless machine.

Also one more thing, Rock Band 2 is hardly a major game which shook the gaming community's world now so why does it matter if it's a timed exclusive? PS3 owners will either wait or get Guitar Hero: World Tour. Big whoop.

People want to play Resistance 2 and Killzone 2 not just because they look good but because they look fun and are made just as good as Gears or Halo if not far better. Not only that Resistance 2 and Killzone 2 are huge improvements over their prequels, especially since one of the was on a PS2. In my opinion Resistance 2 and Killzone 2 look far better than Gears or Halo.

I don't think it will necessarily "die", but I don't ever see it picking up in competition with the Xbox360 if things continue the way they are. Everyone can throw out stats about supposed "superiority" of the PS3, but if specs are enough to save a system it wouldn't be selling so terribly, would it? Trying to say "it's processor is better", "blah blah blah" doesn't guarantee it's going to survive.

It's sales right now are more so due to the fact that it's a cheap blue-ray player. It may sell on hopes and dreams of die-hard fans of games that might make it to the system, but the current selection of games is pretty sad, to put it nicely. People who are upset resort to calling it "backstabbing" with the way that certain titles are jumping ship from the PS3, but when you consider that companies have to earn money to stay in business it would be foolish to assume they are going to stay with a console that can hardly sell itself. It's basically a "blue-ray that happens to play some games". If you don't believe me, look at the different games for sale for each system. It really speaks for itself.

I'm not trying to step on anyone's toes or say one system is "ultimately superior", that's entirely a matter of preference and stats don't mean anything in that regard.

Who's throwing out stats? And if they are, it's only to point out the inconsistencies in people's arguments. Like for example, the argument you brought up here. The PS3 isn't selling terribly, it's selling worse than the 360 and the Wii but it's not selling terribly. Wii's running off with the competition and then some and the 360 has been out longer and has easier to use processor than the PS3 thus companies are leaning more towards that one as it's more popular and is easier to use. So saying it's selling terribly is a "statistically" wrong comment as it's a popular console on its own merits.

ArtificialRaindrop
It's sales right now are more so due to the fact that it's a cheap blue-ray player.

Also not true. Whilst it may indeed be a cheap blu-ray player and whilst it may have also bumped its sales up at the same time, you seem to be forgetting it plays about 75% of the same catalogue the 360 has, free online and DLC access, has MGS4 and other potential hot exclusives coming out. So no, again, not true.

ArtificialRaindrop
People who are upset resort to calling it "backstabbing" with the way that certain titles are jumping ship from the PS3, but when you consider that companies have to earn money to stay in business it would be foolish to assume they are going to stay with a console that can hardly sell itself.

You had a good point until you decided to unjustly rip into the console again. But I've already explained how the console sells itself so I'll just skip that. The people who do resort to calling it "backstabbing" are quite wrong and cannot see it from the business side of things at all. Whilst it may suck for the PS3 fan for Final Fantasy 13 to come out on the 360, it is nothing more than good business in the eyes of the company president.

ArtificialRaindrop
If you don't believe me, look at the different games for sale for each system. It really speaks for itself.

Pretty much the same catalogue, the 360 just has more exclusives at the moment. The PS3 has a few great exclusives on the horizon so let's wait and see before we start hurling abuse at consoles.

ArtificialRaindrop
I'm not trying to step on anyone's toes or say one system is "ultimately superior", that's entirely a matter of preference and stats don't mean anything in that regard.

Agreed. No console is rightfully better than the other. Each console has its drawbacks and its pluses. What you think is your own opinion but you can't just disregard stats when they show the flaws in your opinions. Not that I'm saying you're wrong and yadda-yadda-yadda but you have to be somewhat more accepting of facts before criticizing a console so harshly.
