I've been thinking about getting this game lately. A lot of my friends have it but hardly play it now. Is it worth the sixty dollars, or should I wait for a price drop?
I played the demo on the computer, then when it came out I picked it up for my 360. Overall its a great game, but like all game it has its flaws. Personally I think a wider weapon choice would have been nice. As for the game modes I really enjoy the versus mode, its usually all I play if i am on live. It is also a good game to play offline with your friends on a rainy day or something.

Imo it is worth 60 dollars but that's only because I'm a big fan of the game and Valve. Though I do agree it could use more content, which Valve promise to give in the future. If you can wait Iceryn then it wouldn't hurt since with time the game is bound to drop in price and you'll be getting more content ;)

I really enjoyed L4D, though it did seem quite short to me. The AI director only kept the four campaigns fresh for so long.
I am hoping that like Half Life, Valve will release expansions and keep the L4D experience alive.

It's definitely one of the best games that was released in 2008. I recommend getting it since the campaign is so much fun and online is 2 times better. I have it for the 360 and i really like it but im not sure about for the PC. Either way, this game is a must buy.

It's awesome, but playing alone sort of makes the game really un-enjoyable after a while. It's really much more fun playing with people, preferably friends. I got it for XBOX360 first, but traded it in and got it for my PC instead. Definitely a good game regardless of what platform.

I've enjoyed it to an extent, but the lack of weapons is kinda depressing. It really is a fun game with friends, but if you keep playing it over and over, it just kinda dies on you.
It's an immensely enjoyable game when playing with friends in my opinion. Probably some of the most fun I've ever had in a shooter/zombie game. I can imagine it getting stale after a while (like every other game), though, but... I'm not playing it a lot, so that's going to take time.
One of the best games I have played in a long time.

I really like playing it with my friends - Coop shooters (coop games commonly are great) are great! Its funny to play it with 3 friends in one room "WATCH YOU BACK damn IT! THEY ARE COMING!" Lots of Fun :D
But! Imo it sucks hard as an singleplayer game... and i dislike playing it online with random people :D But thats only my opinion :)

GUYS L4D IS ON SPECIAL THIS WEEKEND ON STEAM!
It is now USD$25 for a single copy! Just thought I'd give you guys a heads up because I've been thinking about buying this game and right now it is quite tempting.
If you have a friend who already owns the game, you won't have to download the game yourself. Just grab their copy, instal it and use the CD key given to you by steam.
Also, I have no idea what punkinpoco is talking about because L4D is on PC as well.
