Tales of Symphonia Dawn of the New World
So I bought this game on Friday at 5:00 in the afternoon. By 12 P.M. the next day, sad to say, I had put over 15 hours into it. Absolutely addicted me lol. The graphics are quite amazing for it being on the Wii and having it an anime based is really appealing as well. Also the cut scenes that pop up about every 10 minutes can be funny too.
If you have $40 I would definitely recommend this game. No new concept on it, but one hell of a fun game.
Since the first TOS game came out this one has been highly anticipated. Just wondering if you think they will expand more on the series such as they have with Final Fantasy. Would be excellent

Most of the reviews for this game arent as good as the first game, but it looks very good. This would probably be the first game I'll pruchase when I get my Wii. I was insanly addicted to the first game. I remember playing the first game as much as six to eight hours straight one time untill 2 am in the morning.
So I'm really looking forward to playing the sequel. This is probably the best of the Tales series ive played.

I'm stalking this game from the shadows, when my friend finish it I'll ask for the game, just like I did with Symphonia on the Gamecube.
Looks really interesting.

This game rocks hard
I been wanting to play this game since the first time I heard about it. ToS was so fun and addicting. I just hope I can still use some of my favorite characters from Tos.
Oh you are going to enjoy it wholeheartedly if you want to play with the old characters

Well how are the wii controls for this game?
I finished this the other day, and I honestly didn't like it. I felt like I was playing half a game with only Marta and Emil to equip and level up. The ToS characters didn't really blend well with the story, or rather, I thought this story just trivialized everything they went through in the last game... And the addition of monsters to level up and evolve felt very Pokemon-ish. Controls are really easy, with your super attack being far to easy to do making you feel over-leveled for most battles.
I'd take Tales of Vesperia any day over this one.

I heard you don't move around the field like the other tales games. i just bought it a week ago and still haven't played. thats because tales of vesperia took so much of my time. plus don't like the idea where you can add and level up monsters
Yeah, you don't move in the field at all. That also made the game play feel a bit half baked. Instead, you get a list of locations that are available to you and you pick it and just *zap* there. It goes through the walking motions if you let it, but it's not you in control and you don't encounter enemies on the field.
I agree on that aspect. The whole animal leveling thing was kind of stupid, especially when they go back to the same form when you level them and lose their level. And also the boundaries of where you can go in the world is kind of boring. It cuts out times to fight monsters but still. And also the leveling of Marta and Emil only is a bit of a drawback now that I think of it. I wish you could level up Raine and Lloyd too. Its still a fun game to play through though I'd say
Well, I think this game is made just for fans. If you played ToS then you might like this continuation, but I really found myself disappointed because the old ToS characters can't level up and you can't travel on the map like the first one. I like the new monsters system, but I definitely prefer to use the main chars and their customs skills and techniques.
I like the game, but that's all. It's not an epic one or a must play.
(excuse my English, I'm still learning).

Heh... the game was pretty fun. It was more of a romance then the first one though. There is a little secret when you use Emil's special. Although I wont say do to some spoilers. The monster thing was a little weird if you ask me. Although I did like to play through with my favorite monsters, they leveled up too quickly and became overpowered.
