Haven't complete P3 yet though.True enough the difficulty in the game is less than P3...
The only reason P3 appears to be harder is because you only get to control yourself during the battle. Predicting your comrades' actions can be tough at times, so you could never depend on them.

I have Persona 4 and its REALLY awesome. Everything seems alot better and enhanced from the third one. I really do recommend getting it.
The only thing I miss is that they would shoot themselves in the head when calling "Persona" (those of you who played P3 would understand

@Kuris-kun
Though it's cool, it'll give ATLUS problems, y'know (-_-)

persona 4 is really really cool
too bad rise didn't have her picture closed up when summoning her persona and she's the only one that didn't have any pose to summon her persona as well

I wonder why they removed the dual persona spells in this game, maybe it was too overpowered?
No idea. But yeah persona 4 is awesome, the gameplay is definitely improved over Persona 3. That said contrary to what other's have said I don't think 4 is harder that much harder than 3, although that might be just me. Also I'm not sure whether I like the non-conflict relationship the characters have in 4 either, it seems so unrealistic I guess. I mean they were forced onto the job, and didnt have a choice about anything about it like who they'd be fighting along side, previous to that alot of people wouldnt of talked to each other. So really it's natural to have some conflict between party members because they were lumbered in with them. I think that's something that I did like in 3. You can understand Chie, Souji(MC), Yosuke and Yukiko being good friends because they're in the same form and Chie/Yukik/Yosuke have all been friends with each other previous to that; However the others it seems strange not to have conflict if you get what I mean. I think I missed not having as much time to do social links too, since you're forced to go "In the TV" during daytime when you could be leveling up your social link.
Other than that though 4 was much improved, alot of the scenes had me rolling on the floor, and the dungeons were done better having different graphics, although still a bit monotonous since it's the same mob's just with different colours and the same graphics repeated throughout that dungeon, however the funny shadow comments/scenes are enough to keep to trolling on wanting more in them. :p

^ I agree on the time issue. I didn't want to waste a single day going into the tv to train. P3's midnight hour solved everything because it did not conflict much with the usual daily activities.
Hah! Been trying to spare some time to finish the game.. It's the last good RPG in PS2, and a great one too. Don't miss this one. Play Persona 3 (take the FES version) too.
FYI, you CAN max out all the social link in one gameplay. It's not impossible; the time management and stat increases are easier than Persona 3..

Even if you can max all of them in one game play you will not know which ones to go after first time around.
You could max out all of your social links in 3 as well, although I do believe it was pretty tight.
As for stats, I don't believe it was easier, as in 3, for starters there was only 3 stats to max, Courage was easy to max, if you went to the correct places, like going to karoke at night and going to the cinema on the correct dates. Charm was slightly harder, but again you could go to the coffee shop(Forget its name) at night and max it up then aswell as the movies at the cinema. That just leaves Academics which was a pain in the arse to level up, it was a pain to level up in 4 too. Took atleast 150-200 odd points to max it, even after going to the ramen house aswell. Plus on 3 you could go out at night and Study, leveling 2 up on one night. On 4 you could do jobs, study and read, but those are restricting and you needed the correct book(Can only read them once and they only came out every month, too) and jobs had stat requirements themselves, plus if you did go in the TV world, your night is wasted anyway because you are "too tired".
Social Links however were alot more strict because they had deadlines in which you had to get certain stats by to be able to see them, not to mention weeks before midterms no one was around. Not to mention the days people were around werent very balanced, iirc there was 7 people you could go out with on tuesday and thursdays, against about 4 on wednesday and so on. Although one thing that annoyed me on 4 was rainy days, once you had maxed your stats out and completed the current dungeon, rainy days were as boring as. None of your social links wanted to go out, excluding a few like Naoto(Which I love her for) which bugged me.

Seriously is that even a question? Of course you should get it.
I spent 160+hours on P3's main story and have yet to start "The answer" in P3:FES.
Also for those wondering, I read somewhere that there are currently no plans by Atlus to release a P4:FES.
Although the dubbing in P3 wasn't bad, the original Japanese voices are always better. Try getting a copy of P3/P4 undub and see for yourself.

this might explain why in P4 we can't use dual spell
in P3, the MC met a blue butterfly during his walk to the dorm, the blue butterfly is a Philemon in guise, only those who have meet Philemon that can use dual spell. but in P3 case, remember that Death is rest inside his body, Philemon awaken the dual spell ability in the MC for P3, but he can perform it without any help from others because of Death boost up his power so he can do it alone.
in P4, the MC was automatically summoned to the velvet room, even his Persona was awaken by the help from izanami. but he never meet Philemon on disguise as butterfly except on the saving point, so that's why he can't use dual spell at all

I said it's easier because you can raise your points multiple times (ranging from slight increase to greatly increase) or some stats can be increased simultaneously. This also happens with social links where you can get chances to increase two or more social links at once. Besides, stats increases are not that important compared to Persona 3 (that is, if you really want to max all social links in your first game). If you use your calendar and plan ahead carefully, you can max out in one go.
