I'm already at phase 2 of this game and I've got to say that this game is awesome! I've played ar tonelico 1 and I thought they could'nt make a better game, but they proved me wrong!
I loved how they designed the attack and the defense phase's, it's like the battle's have a kinda of DDR feeling to them! XD I remeber I use to run from battles alot in ar tonelico 1 but this game has me wanting to battle all the time!! XD

Thats good to hear. Its the next game I'm going to buy after I beat Dragon Quest 8.
I'm pretty much done with the Ar Tonelico 2 and it's probably the best GUST rpg out there. Compared to it's predecessor, Ar Tonelico 2 has taken a huge step forward. Probably the biggest leap it's the battle system, the game's romance and storyline. The story isn't anything that would spin heads, but it's just one of those kind of story that keeps you curious of what's going to happen next. About 10 hours though the game you'll be presented with a choice that would alter the entire game. While you want to be able pick both choices you'll tear yourself apart debating what choice is the best for me?
My only complain is, while I'm extremely grateful that NISA localized the game, there's just too many localization issues that came with it. Grammar mistakes are acceptable, but a game-killer glitch is not. The glitch could be bypass by grinding your characters, but this glitch is something that isn't suppose to be there, not when your a battle away from the last. However, when you see what's in store for you after that the final battle, it makes you say it's all well worth it.

Hey, thats the exact same reason i went with luca too! haha, the glitch problem wasnt that bad for me, i didnt have to do any extra grinding either. Replekia ftw.

Yeah, you should play it, haha. The story was pretty awesome for me, its like i just kept wanting to know whats going to happen next, and there were some twists that were pretty surprising. What i liked the most though in this game were the music and battle system. The battle system is pretty unique.
I just bought it few days ago, but didn't get to play much, only a few hours into it. But so far I'm impressed with the battle system. Its so fast paste I can hardly keep up with it.

It was the same for me it actually took me a while to get use to the battle system. First I thought it was going to be simple enough so I didn't bother to read the battle system tutorials, bad choice on my part.
Benawithe glitch problem wasnt that bad for me, i didnt have to do any extra grinding either. Replekia ftw.

Yeah, that was the only other problem the glitch caused that i didnt like. Because of that, it makes it much harder to unlock the extras that can be gained from that (See Plixos's spoiler). Theres one surefire way to get around the glitch... and that is the fan-made patch that had recently been made.. but you'd need a modchip on your ps2 to be able to use it. The patch fixes the glitch that causes the game to freeze when that one move is used.
I also like this game very much... in Ar tonelico 1, I already beat all the game for all the girls... hope I can do the same thing in the second season... I'm still in the first phase and I'm still troubled with the battle system... it's good but i'm still not used to it... maybe I should learn more in the battle system.

I have seen some of the art work just this eve on ANIMEPAPER. It looks great and I am currently looking online for a copy!
