Your favorite console, and why.

Generaly Nintendos Wii is my favorite because i like the Nintendo-Franchise with games like The Legend of Zelda, Metroid and Mario but the Thrid-party- Developers dont support the Wii with good games for "hardcore-gamers" and that is the reason why i play more 360-games then wii-games.

My favorite console is the Sony Playstation. The reason being is because it introduced many of my favorite games and it has an abundant of RPGs that I was into back in those days.
I like my ps3, since I can do so many things (internet, music ripping, video ripping, PSN exclusives, etc) that my 360 can't do along with the fact that it is not as noisy as the 360.

A few years back I would say without hesitation that the SNES was hands down my favorite console, but these past years I've really been thinking, and...I think the PS2 might be a close second, or at least on par with the SNES in terms of the amount of good games it contains. Granted, both systems are/were extremely popular and successful systems that have lived through the next generation of consoles, so both have a ton of games. And with a ton of games come a ton of BAD games. Now, similarly with a ton of games come a ton of GOOD games, and I think that may be one of the reasons I really love both systems. The NES was good too for a similar system, and Genesis too. But the PS2/SNES just have so many games that I personally like.
PS3 is not so high technical like everyone think, even Hideo Kojima say that when he was doing MGS4 and is to much expensive, Xbox360 is a complete fraud is like PS" or xbox but a little better on ther graphics, and the wii is good but nobody do good games for wii, the PSP got the same problem, and the DS... i dont know i never play that.

360, because of the superior controller. I'm really sad though, because I wish it could have a D-pad that would've been at least as good as the PS3 D-pad.

I love PS3 because it's graphic is so great~~~
I cannot withstand the high resolution of Biohazard 5

Well, i don´t have a single favorite, but i have to say that my vote goes for Wii, it´s perfect for those afternoons when you want to play with your friends, or those bihts when you want to fight with your brothers (the most valuable from Wii are the multiplayer games).
But if i want to play solo games i prefer my old PS2 (I haven´t finished the whole Hack series), it has a lot of good RPG amd action games.

I actually have two favorite consoles: my PS2 and, of course, the Wii. I've enjoyed the Wii, mainly because of the classic video games you can download and the downloadable games exclusive to the system (I have downloaded Dr. Mario Online Rx, Gradius ReBirth, Star Soldier are and Final Fantasy IV: The After Years). As for the PS2, it's because I have a collection of over somewhere between 140 and 150 games.
The xbox 360 is my favorite but only because the PS3 isn't programmed as well. Far too many bugs on the PS3 and not enough good games that are exclusive.

PS3 gamers are illiterate. hahah! that's all I know from this page of the thread. I would say Microsoft and Sony consoles have truly done a great job in bringing in the Next Gen feel to us gamers. Truly blessed to see such grandeur such as high def graphics and kick ass games.
However, we are ripped apart, gamers as one choosing sides debating on the superiority of consoles. It saddens me. T_T

I still prefer the old Playstation One, it provided lots of different types of games. Alot of games these days are just graphical enhancements, I have the other consoles... so they can do many things but those things can be done by a basic Personal Computer.
And my side about WII, well... If I'm going to play baseball etc... I'd rather play the actual sport (Its not that fun as I prefer it to be)

The Playstation 3 is the best console out there if you look at performance and possibilities (Blu-ray movies, PSNetwork). But Blu-Ray movies aren't that popular yet and the PS3 is just too expensive.
The Wii is something I don't even want to call a game-console anymore. It's just a Wii: a toy for old ladies. The amount of good, serious games on the Wii is something you can count on one hand, so it's nothing for gamers.
The Xbox 360 then is pretty much the winner here, because it's very affordable nowadays, got a great lineup regarding games and Xbox Live works very smoothly.
Personally though, I have no console at all. The main reason is that I don't have a TV, but it's also the fact that I can do everything on my PC already. Sure, I miss out on a couple of games, but the PC is (if configured right) still superior in graphics and power.
I would have to agree with you. I think the PS3 is the better system because of the BlueRay movies, the FREE Network play. The PS3 is very expensive but they are going to lower the price (eventually). The Nintendo Wii is terrible for REAL gamers. There aren't that many GOOD games out there for the Wii. I think PS3 needs to focus on what made them popular - JRPGs! THAT WOULD BE INCREDIBLE!
The XBOX360 is a great system as well, it's great for shooting games. and Multi-Player. I'm personally not a multiplayer kinda guy, but it is the front runner, and it makes great games. The only flaws with 360 is the hardware.
I own a wii on account that i have 2 younger siblings and lack of money, but personally I prefer the Xbox. It has a nice balance between price and hardware, the LIVE arcade, great titles and the new hardware announced at E3
