Well this is what i think...

Its a freaking great game!!Me and my sis play it in ps3..and wow it rocks....but i got to complain that the controls is hard to get use to...and the inventory system is...crap...i hates...bring old pause system back!also we cant shoot when we move so it leave us vulnerable weak...on the plus side the gameplay is still nice with the co opt!
the graphic is so spectacular ...and the movement of the char is soo realistic that it scares me...the zombie wont stop scaring you!so dont worry about the scare factor...tho is less scary than the last time....that a good thing tho!cuz i can play!...i hate scary stuff...the music fits well with the game so i cant complain much!

Hate to break the news to you, but it hasn't been released in the US yet.

Unless someone broke street date, the game is slated for a Friday release. If pre-ordered from a place like GameStop, they'll be doing a midnight launch.

Only place it came out beforehand was in Japan, which was on the 5th.

I'll let you know on Friday how it is =P.

I must say though, I am extremely jealous. I reserved a copy and have it almost fully paid off, now I just have to wait until midnight, Thursday night >_>.

From what I played of the demo, it really doesn't feel like Resident Evil. It feels more like an action movie with mutation elements to it. It's not a terrible thing, but considering I've been a fan of the games since around the first installment, it's a bit disappointing. However, you can't keep beating a dead horse, so I'm glad Capcom decided to change up the formula a bit.

The real trick is going into the game not thinking it's Resident Evil. Otherwise, I have a feeling I'm going to be rather sad.

And I'm aware that it is technically like RE4, only on Africa, better graphics, new functions and actions, etc. But the co-op addition is totally gonna be a fav in this game :]

...I also added this tidbit. I figured I should of edited my original post, but I assumed that what was labeled as branding everyone in AP as US citizens would of been corrected with that. I'll be sure to not be as vague in the future and rather than assume, make an edit. Keep in mind also that while the wording of the sentence may seem as if I was speaking for everyone, I was actually making a reference towards myself, since I live in the United States. I'll be sure to avoid making mistakes like that in the future as well =D.

If you're getting the PS3 copy, we should play online together. That is, if you'd like XD. I plan on getting the game and then going home and sleeping. Of course, after I take care of what I need to in the morning I'll be playing it for the majority of the day.

I got the collector's edition ^^ it has a small tricell bag and necklace and chris redfield small figurine and the game itself XD

I apologize, the sources of information I had stated the release date for Friday the 13th for both NTSC and PAL regions, while Japan was the only country that officially released the game. Of course, that's not taking into account someone pre-ordering a Japanese copy or breaking street date. I was just simply stating based off of the information I had, which was also based upon different sources.

Though, I'm not going to challenge your post mainly because I don't know when shops open up in both Europe and Australia or try to figure out the time zones, since honestly it's not that big of a deal to me. Keep in mind also that, as previous stated, it was also more of a reference towards myself and even with the statement I made, it was made based upon all the facts that I had at the specific time. However, I will be sure to re frame from making such comments in the future.

Now, it's time to play the waiting game until tonight >_>. Then, RE 5 will be mine! Mwahaha!

I only played the demo and I have to ask, is there any real difference?
From what I played in the demo it wasn't scary, I didn't get any reaction except frustration at my AI controlled partner. In fact the chainsaw semi-boss character, taken straight from RE:4, didn't induce terror it was more or less glee as I ran past him to get some distance to shoot him, rinse and repeat. Also I didn't give a damn about my partner in fact at one point I was trying to kill her, since she was a worthless pile that I had to babysit half the time.

So yeah, I ask is there a difference?

And before you go and say you had to babysit Ashely in RE:4, I say that was at least plot. You HAD to defend her, it was your job! Also she's never fired a gun and was never advertised as a support character that's supposed to help you by shooting the zombies.

I think the demo didnt do sheva justice...she was quite more useful in the game itself...well thats what i think. XD

I think you really need to get off your high horse. I'm not trying to start a fight. If you put things together, you'd have realised I'm subtly taunting him with the fact I've been playing it before he's even able to get the game.

Grow a sense of humor.

Resident Evil 5 is essentially Resident Evil 4 in HD. Although that doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad thing. I enjoyed Resident Evil 4 very much and although they ended the zombies (the RE4/5 enemies are NOT ZOMBIES, they are infected people), the series took a more action approach. From what I've seen, it still tries to advertise itself as a "horror" genre, but I disagree. Resident Evil 4 was an action game, no doubt about it. Resident Evil 5 is again an action game (survival action, it's no longer survival horror). I remember I was somewhat skeptical about the game because I did not like the fact that they made it almost the exact same as RE4 except looks prettier and has Co-op, but playing the demo it felt... just "ok". In my opinion, if you want to play a real survival horror game, Dead Space is definitely the one to play. Some of you will argue or say "It's easy," or "it's not scary". You know that's full of crap. Dead Space, even if the scares don't get you, it is still by far much more tense and scarier than Resident Evil 5. My main gripe is Resident Evil 5 is that the controls could have improved, Dead Space felt similar to Resident Evil 4, however the controls for Dead Space felt great and felt "next-gen" as opposed to RE5 which feels the exact same as RE4. I think the game should be a rental first, but that is just me. I think the only good thing about RE5 is the co-op but that's it. Again I'm not dissing on RE5, it's still a good game (7.5/10 in my book), but I think it could have been improved.
