Resident Evil 5?
AsahiSuperDryWhy waste that kind of hardware and art talent on a 3rd world part of the desert?
Because having it take place in the Caribbean would have made no sense whatsoever? The game was meant to deal with the root of the entire viral problem brought up by Umbrella and what better place to have it all take place but in Africa, where humanity was first born? Not sure if you've noticed but Africa isn't exactly the most stunning place in the world to the eye so the game's depiction of their fictional land was pretty good and Resident Evil has always taken place in some broken down, gone to hell place which Kijuju was.
As for all the other complaints, to each their own. Though the bubble effect was remarkably lame, I mean remarkably lame.

I don't argue the logic of the setting, rather that it falls in line with several other games. They all use the same depressing and barren style of environments that look like the map pallet keeps on using the same few colors over and over again (Fallout 3 and Gears of War come to mind). Used for one or two games and it's ok but it kind of feels like beating a dead horse at this point. I just wish that with all that talent and all that computing power, they could have chosen an environment with a bit more aesthetic appeal like some of the earlier games in the series. As it currently stands, it's almost hard to pick Resident Evil out of the lineup below.
You are right though, to each their own. I'm sure a good number of people loved the game regardless.
Count the shades of gray and brown in this average screenshot of Gears of War:

And then again in Fallout 3:

I miss the zombies a lot, but the gaming is excellent! For the record, Wesker in pro mode is a dirty son of a b****
I liked it for awhile. It was fun. I didn't play online much, but I did with my friend split screen. Single mode is crap I thought <-<; But it was too short overall and the ending ;-; too... I dunno :x

All i know is that you need a lot of bullets to put a normal zombie in that game down.
I say they ye resident evil is great because the fact they have still the old played in it also thay you can have the coop in it and play with ya mate but they have destroyed the series by removing the old story line its no longer a horror i belive because of this there next game is going back to old style its what iv read anyway.

Disappointed. RE5 might be the first RE game I'm ever going to trade in. I ran through the story mode multiple times on every past RE. On this one it felt tedious after the first time. The horror is completely gone. Zero suspense. Focus on action/shooting. The story mode finish unlocks show little innovation.. it feels like a watered-down version of the RE games I know and love, on a next-gen system :(

My brother played resident evil 5 for the xbox 360, and he said it is a pretty good game. He told me that it is heavily co-op based, and it is very difficult. He died so many times, that he actually stopped playing it for a while. I do missed zombies though, but I like resident evil 4, and that's probably why resident evil 5 pretty much copied resident evil 4.

I bought the collectors edition.
The only thing that i think is any good was the bag and the steel case the small figure sucked Id rather Jill lol, anyway The game is well its fun to play in 2 player only playing alone just doesn't cut it your cpu is too stupid, and there is some disappointing factors to think about such as the area which the game was done is boring I wish it were more exciting landscape instead of Africa, and I wish there were tons of zombies and not people that can use weapons i mean the whole point of resident evil was about shooting zombies and monsters thousands of them, if i wanted to fight against enemies with guns i would play Call of duty or Gears of war 2, there are so many others that have this.
I keep saying to myself why did Capcom do this to Resident evil? It would be perfect had it been 2 player and inside a city where you pick your choice of building to enter to escape from zombies.
or my idea the perfect one the camera and gameplay is like Saints row 2 camera style, you can go into 3rd person or 1st person shoot point, you can go anywhere in a city and use anything as a weapon, so this combines dead rising with saints row 2 style gameplay and its 2 player online or split screen, and you can both move anywhere you want in the game, storyline can still be strong.
I like Resident evil 5 but I hate the camera angle its too close to my player, and I hate the scenery Resident evil just doesn't do it without a horde of zombies throughout the whole game, mansion and or a city/shopping mall type area.

Resident Evil 5 isn't a terrible game by all means. True they did reuse many elements they did in Resident Evil 4, but people usually bring up the "If it's not broken, do not fix it..." theory.
My beef with the game is that: [May contain spoilers...]
- The difficulty is just plain too simple. Having excessive ammo, having a partner [even though the A.I. can be a pain], more emphasis on action rather than survival/conserving. There's no feeling of intensity or danger when playing for the first time through.
- Story is just bad... It seemed a lil too rushed for it to be effective. There were also some bad quotes in the game, and it sometimes tried to be Metal Gear-ish...
- Boss battles aren't as epic as they were in Resident Evil 4. In RE4, the first battle with Del Lago was hella intense and the El Gigante battle was pretty crazy too, since you're fighting on foot as oppose to RE5, where you're fighting it with a rail gun.
- RE5 seemed rush in general.
The Pros of Resident Evil 5:
- It contains multi-player mode.
- More defined graphics.
- Still kept it RE4 style.
- Great casual game, just blow stuff up and shoot em up.
To sum it all up, Resident Evil 4 is far more superior than Resident Evil 5. However Resident Evil 5 is still an excellent game nonetheless.

It would be nice to give it a try. Unfortunately, I don't have an XBOX360, although I plan on getting it probably around the time of my birthday, which is in three months. And RE5 might be the first game that I would get for the system.

Biohazard 5 is very excellent since two people can play the game together! Two people can cooperate to kill the zombies and find the correct route. I think this game becomes more and more interesting than before.

Its a piece of crap, everything about it is freaking retarded. They messed up the storyline, the gameplay, the overall atmosphere. As a fanboy of the series I am severely disappointed with this title.
