After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

What's wrong in Infinite Undiscovery?
It is obvious that that project is born just as way to test the potentials of Xbox 360.
Surely TriAce wants to develop many other games before creating a third instalment of Valkyrie Profile.
Or, at least... this is just what I think.

If you talk about graphics, ToV is not a great game, but I prefear not to judge it. PAL release is going to be on 26th June and obviously I'm still waiting for this damned game.

This alone is reason why.

If you want to get into why I didn't like Infinite Undiscovery, I felt that there was one big reason. Story. One thing I have always enjoyed about Tri-Ace is their engaging stories. It's the reason why their my favorite developer for RPGs, so I was rather excited to play Infinite Undiscovery. I will admit, the character models aren't the best looking, and the look very awkward how they act. I know it's suppose to mimic more of a Japanese style, but there was this one scene in particular I remember. The main character was frustrated about something and he was yelling, but his facial expression was calm and relaxed. It looked so unnatural and that just bugged me. I felt the game offered far too much in the tutorial department and wanted me to do too many different things. Maybe it's because I've set a rather high standard for Tri-Ace after games like Star Ocean Second Story, Radiata Stories and both Valkyrie Profile games, but I felt that Infinite Undiscovery tanked.

Alas, there is still no word on the possible PS3 US or PAL release of Tales of Vesperia. I'm hoping that it will find a way to make it over. Common Namco, we want to play more Tales goodness ~

I did not say Infinite Undiscovery is the best... I too noticed many of the things you wrote. The scene in that video isn't bad at all, but it is ruined because of characters' facial expressions.
What I wanted to say is that Infinite Undiscovery is CLEARLY a "testing work", nothing more nothing less.
I never expected something from it, I just played it and that's all.
Surely Tri Ace are demonstrating he can improve a lot (see Star Ocean 4) and that's the most important thing if you consider they made this initial test on an original game without ruining Star Ocean or Valkyrie Profile Saga with some kind of spin off or crappy sequel.

About Tales of Vesperia, I'm sorry contradicting you, but Xbox360 PAL version has been announced by Atari some weeks ago.
The game will be out on June, 26th, that's for sure and I'm very happy with it! 8)E emoticon

I never said that you did. I was just simply stating why I didn't care for it. Regardless of what it was, I felt that it was lackluster in comparison to previous entries. Be it the game was used as 'testing ground' or for whatever else, I felt that they could of done better with the title. That's just how I personally feel about it.

I'm sure as you noticed in my previous post, I commented on Radiata Stories, so I can appreciate new material. I just felt that things didn't properly come together and that the full package lacked the quality of RPG gaming that Tri-Ace is known for. I apologize if it offends you, for that wasn't my purpose.

=3

Actually I mentioned the Playstation 3 version.

Namco announced that they are doing a PS3 version with a new character in it. So far, the game has only been announced for Japan and considering Namco's track record for bringing over remakes (Tales of Symphonia for PS2, Tales of Phantasia for the PSP and Tales of Rebirth for the PSP were never released) to the US or Europe, though Tales of Eternia was released in Europe and the PSP doesn't have a region format. Because of this, many people are somewhat concerned that they won't be able to play this title.

I do hope that when you are able to get your hands on Tales of Vesperia, you'll enjoy it! =)

I was referring to the Xbox360 version.
Plus, I'm very happy that Namco is going to release in Europe ToS2 (Dawn of the New World) with exclusive bonuses such as alternative costumes! 8)E emoticon

Regarding Infinite Undescovery and Radiata Stories I can say I'm the first one here who likes RS especially because the main characters were so funny that made me laugh all the time (that is good if you consider how depressing characters such Squall or *put a random name here coming from JRPGs* are).
But, please, do also consider that Radiata Stories was considered a failure as Infinite Undiscovery.
Anyway I'm not offended because you said you don't like IU.
I also do not appreciate it so much, but I still believe that Tri Ace need it in order to learn how to develop a game on Xbox360 (that is much harder than on a PS2, as far I know/read)

My apologies. I misunderstood what you wrote from your original post since I wasn't sure how you contradicted me =S.

Actually, if you noticed in my previous post, I said I loved Radiata Stories. Radiata Stories was one of my favorite PS2 titles and was actually rather popular in the States. From my understanding, it sold better then Valkyrie Profile 2, so by definition I wouldn't consider it a failure.

It's actually not. Even then, it shouldn't be an excuse for a developer to produce a sub-par title. Considering that Tri-Ace has been developing games since the SNES, or if you want to get technical the Super Famicom, it's no excuse for the company to put out such a dud. I could get into this even further, but we've already gotten quite off topic. Keep in mind that this is simply how I feel, nothing more. I bought and played Infinite Undiscovery and I just felt that it was a very unoriginal and poor game.

Back onto the subject, it sounds like ToV for PS3 sounds like it'll be a better port over than what Eternal Sonata was. While it was decent, it's load times weren't nearly as good as the PS3's, but considering Namco's track record I think we can expect a higher quality game on the PS3, which makes me want it all the more :_:

The same here. I love both of them, but my opinion in this case is that Radiata Stories is a different game from Valkyrie Profile 2. I mean, they are both Jrpgs and that's oky, but the "sub-genre" is pretty different.
Valkyrie Profile 2 has a serious and dramatic story with a complex plot, whereas Radiata Stories is a game more... ironical the deconstructs the common features of this genre, for example creating a main character that is not a hero, but a simple lively boy.

Okay, but look, for example Suikoden 4. It's another example of test-game. I think that situation was far worse because Konami totally ruined a chapter of the wonderful Suikoden saga. Even now I'm asking myself why they did not simply use Suikoden Tactics as the official scenario of Suikoden 4.

I know that there will be a optional bonus character and some extra features. The new character is not so interesting IMHO. Overall, I don't care about PS3 porting since I have no intention to buy a new console after spending a lot of money for Xbox360 Elite and Nintendo Wii.

This was my first Tales game, and I think I might pick up the other ones now. I thought that the character designs were neat, and the battle system was engaging, as was the story. I never really felt bored, but on the other hand, I never really felt completely drawn in, either.

I don't really have a favourite character, tho. Then again, it's been a while since I've played it.

This isn't really a big deal anymore. The PS3 can play any game from any region if you so wanted to import it. So for those who can read Japanese, they could probably import it when it's released in the land of the Rising Sun and for Europeans worried about no release date for them, they can import from the US. Just a shame other consoles don't follow suit with this region free business.

I have it on the 360 but its a shame the dubbing is done in English, and how i prefer 2D high definition resolution for these types of games, i personally didn't like it as much as i liked Tales of rebirth, Tales of phantasia, Tales of destiny and Tales of destiny 2 remake all Japanese Dub and only English text.

I just beat the game a couple of days ago. It was okay, but definitely not one of Namco's stronger Tales game. I really liked Yuri and Flynn as characters, but the story was ridiculously weak.

I think it was a pretty fun game. My favorite parts were the beautiful animations but my favorite character was Judith.

I haven't played Tales of Vesperia, but I played a lot of tales games such as phantasia, symphonia, destiny, eternia, and abyss. It seems that Tales of Vesperia is an interesting game, but at first it came only for the xbox 360. I wanted to import the game, so I can keep the original voices, but the game is region locked. But, since they announced it for the PS3, I might consider getting it since the playstation 3 is not region locked. However, I hope that the north american version will have a dual audio since the blue ray disk has plenty of space. Then again, Namco tends to not do this. The gameplay is very similar to tales of the abyss, which I really liked.

I'm not too fond of the new playable characters in the PS 3 version, but I heard that Flynn is playable. Now, it is a matter of whether he joins you pernamently or temporarily. I hope he does pernamently because then my brother and I can play as two awesome melee fighters as we did in tales of the Abyss with Luke and Guy.
