The Next MGS
Well anyone who watched the GDC awarding Hideo Kojima and his keynote on the web? After watching the keynote, I thought that he maybe planning to use some kind of software from Havok, Crysis, Unreal engines to use for he's visioned ultimate stealth game to use hardware (ps3) and software (the engine said) and his unique game design to create his visioned ultimate stealth game. I personally think that it is going to be hard considering that he is planning to use Raiden as a playable character again ... because raiden is too overpowered to be the main protagonist in the game when he became Cyborg Raiden (well what kind of gameplay will be looking at ? hiding at the shadows? like ninjas) That presents a game design challenge already. Not to mention that the story closed at the end of MGS4 but that's the least of my worries, we're talking about Kojima after all ... so guys anyone who enjoys the metal gear saga, what are your thoughts for the next MGS?

There is a possible that the next MGS will come to Xbox 360 and also Playstation 3 as well.
There are a few blank spots in Raidens history, I have a feeling Kojima will tell the story of how Raiden saves Sunny from the Patriots and how he becomes a Cyborg Ninja... Expect cameos from EVA,ROSE Etc . MGS4 was the last part of the MGS saga I highly dowbt any story will be told after that. I really hope mgs doesnt go down the resident evil route and westernise it until its a totaly different game, If I remember Kojima said he wants co op play in the next game.
I think it may be a remake/re-interpretation of Metal Gear or Metal Gear 2. If Kojima did this, I'd have mixed feelings; I've played the original two and was not impressed, so the story element would be interesting BUT remakes are usually just a sloppy excuse to keep churning out the cash cow.
Other than that, I don't see how anything can happen after MGS4's timeline. Raiden gaiden may be interesting...

The next Metal Gear could just be MGS4: Existence, and similar to substance they could have a substory (Snakes Tales) to fit raiden in. After the whole Metal Gear Campbell thing it makes me think they are working on mgs4....Either that or Kojima really likes his April fools.
I think that the Raiden arc for a story in the next mgs will be fairly short,
and the possibility of the next MGS gonna be a remake of MGS4 is highly likely. But if they did make Raiden the main protagonist then they should or would likely include the part when he saved sunny or they may rather go with a whole new story with raiden carrying on Snake's unfinished business with Philantrophy, which is fighting Metal Gear derivirates (whatever the spelling is ...

I would really hope that Kojima, and his crew leaves the Metal Gear Saga as is. The way Metal Gear Solid 4 left things everything was just right imo. But I think if there's any arc that should be advanced it would have to be the underdog's.
Johnny 'Akiba' Sasaki
It sort of makes sense too. When you look at him towards the end of 4 he looks to be almost in the frame of a young snake, and he's still quite the rookie despite being a "10 year vet". Though the only downside is, if Kojima wants his next stealth game to be co-op...we can expect to see Meryl than.
In all hopes though I do wish Kojima makes a new line of stealth games, new faces, new scenes, new mechanics.

I thought of that too ... near the end of MGS4 he got kinda cool
when he was shooting the FROGS and proposing to Meryl ROFL

I don't Belive tha will have a MGS5... they coul do a remake for the PS3 and Xbox 360 plataforms of the 1st,3nd and 3th, that for sure would be awsome ^^
Yes, it is likely that they will make a remake of the past MGS series
but i think that Hideo kojima and the people at Konami knows that their fans will get disappointed if they just make a remake? Maybe they'll announce that they are developing the next mgs and/or probably announce a remake of Guns of the Patriots...

Personaly I would like them to make MG: AC!D 3 =P, I would also like them to publish the original Metal Gears for the PSP..but thats just me.
Yes, bringing the original metal gear to the psp would be nice as you said but it would be nicer if they make another portable ops instead
Yeah I enjoyed portable ops,the Story and Characters were great the only problem I had with it is that the online play was a bit laggy...maybe I have high standards after MGO1 heh

Online play wasn't really the thing i liked about it
it was the fact that it was the sequel of Snake Eater.
I, for one, would like to would like to see more of Big Boss' exploits when he drifted the world when he left the patriots and how the hell Big Boss and Major Zero got to be best friends. (they didn't really specified it ...)

Yeah I agree, we really need to see more of Big Boss maybe a little of Raiden thrown in.
