Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver
6 months 2 weeks ago
So I don't know if you guy herd but apparently the remake of the 2 pokemon 2nd generation games (Gold and Silver) have been confirmed! They'll be called "HeartGold" and "SoulSilver" and I believe they said they said the game would be ready for around fall 2009! There's no estimated price yet but that's not why I brought up the subject.
Has anyone been keeping an eye on this before? Did you spot the foreshadow of this happening? (I might have not been done on purpose but a few months ago there was a poster released with the 2nd gen starter pokemon on it.) Is anyone excited about the remake?
Come on guys, tell me what you're thinking! I personally LOVED the 2nd game and I still play it on my GameBoy Color. I don't own a DS (which is the system it's going to be released for) but I just itching to see this remake!

Sounds good :) the remake of the original pkmn games were pretty good (leaf green and fire red) this one will be awesome :D
I'm thinking about getting a DS cause of this (tipping point along with other games), of course I'd go for the DSi but the damn thing is $169! And the ebay people just jack up the price to within $10 of that so its not even worth risking the shipping hazard.

WOW!! I wanted to play silver version again on the GB color. But now I can look forward to playing it on the DS xD!

I want to believe it but I've been hearing a rumor similar to this for the past 3 years so I don't know...
I've never played any pokemon games.
shocking isn't it? (not really
)
But if this game is coming out and have pretty good reviews, then I might buy it.

Holy cow! The GSC generation was my favorite for some reason so this is definitely good news for me. XD I hope they add a whole bunch of bonuses and stuff though. I'd be real disappointed if they made this for DS and there's hardly anything else besides updated graphics.
WOW! pokemon once again. even now pokemon trading cards keep comming out of the card store and remake of original red and green from GB color and finally remake of silver and gold, w/c pokemon is in this ver.? is it Lugia and Hoho?

Yeah, it is. The whole Johto saga of Pokémon.
terror-of-deathw/c pokemon is in this ver.? is it Lugia and Hoho?
yes, it is ^^
I hope nintendo will relase a remake of GSC!!
I played pokemon silver when I was 5 *nostalgia T_T*. I think pokemon GSC were the best pokemon games ever, with the best music themes (bike theme, champion battle theme, route 1 theme, kanto trainer battle theme and so on) and they were the only pokemon games where there were 2 regions .
I still remember when I defeated Red's snorlax!
I would love it if they made a game with EVERY region, but I think it wuold be too big for a ds...

Appearently no release date has been confirmed yet. I came across a site that said that it will be availible sometime in the spring of 2010, but it also said that nothing was for sure. For now i believe that following the release date in Japan will give you then best idea of when is will come out elsewhere. I'd give it 6-12 months afterwards before the rest of the planet is graced with the newest wonders that make up the pokemon games! -Swoon- [[they're so great]]

Oh mercy. Last Pokemon game I played was Diamond and Pearl, and before that Gold/Silver/Crystal.
Although, I must admit, I really loved Gold and Silver. I might actually give these guys a shot, just 'cause aside from the originals, these starter Pokemon were awesome, and even though the story plot never changes, I liked Gold/Silver's variation the best.
My only complaint: I hope there's no new Pokemon, I think 350-450 is quite enough, along with the long list of "legendary" Pokemon (Seriously, there has to be at least a dozen of 'em, which is kinda sad).

WOW red snorlax?! i never seen that , not to mentioned from my classmates in elementary never said anything..

from all pokemon series i played before, the only rare pokemons i know are:
mewtwo
3 legendary birds
lugia & hoho
red gyrados
and caught them all
thats all, were was that red snorlax exatly?
Actually, I'm sure that it's the Snorlax that belonged to Pokemon trainer, Red. You know... Red, from the original Red/Blue/Yellow.
After beating the 1337-4, you go to the Mt. Silver (...?), make your way to the deepest part of the mountain, and you'll fight Red.
Whoa. That was like... 10 years ago! Holy crap that jogs my memory. GSC was the last generation of Pokemon games that I thoroughly beat. Sapphire/Ruby was alright, I didn't finish. But... GSC was the first time Eevee could evolve without a stone! I liked the Dark one, don't even remember it's name anymore.

Gold and Silver are the only games of that series that I truly enjoyed. I just hope they keep to the same plot as the originals.
