RBXI wish they remake Pokemon Yellow so I can interact with little Pikachu walking right behind me.
The released screens for the new games shows your starter walking behind you. I don't know if you feel if that's the same but its pretty close. Also, I completely agree with iCerise, I want them to bring Kris back, not use that new person

Dude I've loved Pokemon ever since I was little (I have every version released)
But you begin to wonder, where does it end?! Seriously, are they going to have like 7 generations of pokemon each with their remakes?
So you have about 5 games for each generation, 3 originals and 2 remakes. Multiply that trend by the current 4 generations, we have about a possible 20 diffrent pokemon games (Thats gotta be a new record next to Final Fantasy but lets not go there) XD

The only pokemon game I played was blue. Yeah, I know that was a while back. I'm surprise that nintendo is consistently making pokemon games because there is a pokemon fanbase that they want to keep alive. I'm not sure if these remakes will open its doors to non-pokemon fans such as myself. Back then, I really like pokemon, but I think I grew out of it or something, and I know that the major cause of this disinterest is the anime. Ever since I stopped watching the anime, I never picked up a pokemon game. I did try pokemon yellow once because I quickly quit after realizing that it is almost the same games as blue. In fact, a lot of the pokemon games are the same.
So, if SliverSoul and HeartGold, do come out, I probably will not buy since I quit the series long time ago. I don't see a point in rejoining the fanbase unless these remakes do something really different and spectacular which I doubt. Obvously, since these are remakes of Gold and Silver, then the game play will be essentially the same thing.
In conclusion, the new remakes will not inspire me to buy them. It seems to me they only cater to the fanbase. Of course, Pokemon is not the only game that does that.

This is really interesting as I used to be such a big fan of Pokemon Gold and Silver. Back in the day, Pokemon Gold was my favorite Game Boy Color game. Ever since then, I lost touch with Pokemon as it seemed like they just kept inventing more and more Pokemon to try and make the games more interesting. In my opinion, simplicity worked better for the games, and it seemed like after that they started running out of ideas for their abundance of new Pokemon. I hope whoever buys the new Gold and Silver will realize how good the older games really were.

Looking forward to this game hope it'll be better than Diamond/Pearl. I also hope they keep most of the original Silver/Gold stuff. The pokemon following you thing sounds pretty cool. I've liked Pokemon ever since it first came out. I stopped watching the show quite a few years ago but I still love the games they're just fun to play. I just hope they don't go too too far in terms of sequels cause that would be going overboard and that just gets boring even for a great series.

I stopped playing pokemon after I played Gold, but I loved it back then, and it's still one of my fav games.
I don't know anything about all of these new pokemons after Gold/Silver so it will be nice to see a game, where all of the 'good, old' pokemons are around.
I'm not sure if I'm gonna buy the game, since it's essentially the same, but it might be a reason to start playing the original gold again xD and to see how an awesome game this one was.

It's very interesting that Nintendo is going to remake Gold/Silver. I still remember playing this game when I was kid. I checked out the new stuff they are going to add to the game and it absolutely amazing that they will add all these new things. The best feature i'm liking so far is the ability to have the your 1st slot pokemon follow you everywhere you go. That's really nice since I remember the only that could follow you before is that freakin rat. I wonder what other goodies they are going to add to the game.

Well, I saw this coming from a mile away, being a fan of pokemon I guess I'll pick this one up. I'm not to crazy about the "first slot pokemon following you around thing", dunno it just doesn't really seem like a useful game mechanic.

Oh my, I'd even buy one of the new games.
Played silver and loved it, the then following games somehow disappointed me.
The new silver/gold version might make me feel nostalgic. :D

Well i know this is a bit late but game freak announced that the kanto section will definitely be included in the game. Personally one of the things i liked about gold and silver was the fact that they were actual sequels with characters from the previous games making a comeback like Blue becoming viridian gym leader and the player fighting Red in Mt. Silver. So this little inclusion has won me over. Definetly getting it
