After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

Its kind of ridiculous that they're coming out with a #2 when i have it for both computer and xbox 360, and the characters + zombies are of the same as the first, just a bit different(looks) I'm not sure if I will buy it.

I don't buy games often but I did buy L4D and wasn't really satisfied; gets too repetitive pretty fast. And I think the release for 2 resembles, on the cartoony side, TF2 which I don't particularly like.
I'm not going to buy the 2nd release seeing that I do have the 1st.

There are new zombies, but I agree it probably worth full price. Just wait for a price drop. Valve games always drop a lot.

Left 4 Dead 2 seems like it will have a few new things to add, but they could have just made an expansion pack. But I did buy the first one and got my monies worth out of it. If you have friends that you can play with the game becomes immensely better then just random pub games.

I'm mixed about the matter.

I agree with a great deal of fans, which is something that journalists seem to misunderstand as greed, that Valve needs to deliver more on the content they promised. Left 4 Dead really isn't much of a game when you look at how much your paying for. Considering that Team Fortress 2 has a ton of content and extensive additional content and it's priced at $20 for the stand-alone version, it's absurd for them to of released a game that really doesn't have much more content than TF2 at a full game price. I bought my copy when it was half price for Valentine's Day and even then I feel it wasn't worth the price. Yes, L4D delivers lots of action and adventure, but it gets old quick. It's also very disappointing with the lack of support Valve has put into L4D. No, I don't think Valve owes me anything, but I think they should follow through with their words. Even if you look at it from a business aspect, screwing your customers over doesn't increase business.

However, I do think that while a years worth of time isn't enough to really do anything significantly different, L4D 2 does show quite a few minor changes that may make it very interesting to see. As it stands now, no, it's not worth 50 bucks and I'm not going to buy it when it comes out. Maybe if they drop the price, but even then there is something far more important. Personally, I want to see what additional support they'll offer L4D, because this is most likely going to determine how much support L4D 2 gets as well, or so I'm assuming.

Who knows, I guess we'll just have to see what Valve has in store for the future.

Also, to me, it seems that it's weird to release a sequel where as the first game came out just last year. I just don't get it.

I have played L4D in the PC and I was impressed with the game. For L4D2, I think the style is very similar to L4D. For example, the zombies and the kinds of weapons. Although you will blame on this similarity, it is true that not all things will be changed in the second game. There must be some differences between L4D nad L4D2 but we still do not notice the differences. Just wait for the game and try it. You will discover the differences.

Maybe you can see the interview below.

TGV has recently held an interview with Doug Lombardi, one of the mystical figures behind Left 4 Dead and the upcoming sequel, Left 4 Dead 2.

The interview throws additional light on the features of the sequel. It's basically a rehearsal of what we've seen in previous News--about twenty new weapons are available, the AI director has been ameliorated and cross-gameplay is being developed.

The details of cross-gameplay are yet to be made known, but Doug states that modded content can be easily ported from L4D to the sequel with only a minor modifications. Here's a snippet of the interview:

One of the things that has been floating around is the idea of cross-gameplay with the original Left 4 Dead; is this likely?

That's something that we're trying to work out right now, the details of it. So nothing specific to say today, but we understand that it's a very valid thing to be working on and looking at. With the MOD stuff, if you're making stuff for Left 4 Dead it will work in Left 4 Dead 2 with very minor amounts of work to bring it over. So we feel we've made good steps on that side and now we're looking at how we manage that for folks who buy the first game and sequel.

Having played the Demo at this years comic-con i can say its changes from left for dead make it well worth the purchase. The way the change the map is no longer just "oh its left not right now", instead a competently different turn of events. Because its more of a open world environment, they can often set up their type of special infected in intriguing ways. Speaking of special infected they are 3 new type. Chargers ( a mix between a tank and a hunter, but not as specialized as either) one they spits fire (use to split up your party, make live harder) and one other. As there are many small changes that make the game more balanced and less glitchy. For instance you can no longer just spam melees. The new melee weapons you can pick up balance this out ( to a degree). Anyone calling this game just a money ploy/ expansion need to try it out before they say anymore.

I personally think it's a money ploy because of the pathetic amount of content the first L4D offered. Truth be told, I'm actually disappointed on anything that is solely multi-player that doesn't offer much content. Hell, if you really want to get technical I didn't think much of Team Fortress 2 at first, but because it was bundled in The Orange Box, I found it completely worth it. Hell, you got a great quantity of games in Orange Box and it was at the same price L4D sold for.

I say it's a money ploy because L4D2, despite changes, doesn't seem like it really does anything new. I'm not like those L4D fanboys who think that they've been screwed because of the short release and are worried about the first game. I'm more of worried about this bullshit excuse to sell part of a game for full price. All L4D, and what I know of L4D2 to be, is multi-player. There isn't much else you can do with it, aside from single player with the computer taking up the slack for the other players. That isn't how the game is meant to be played, since it's obviously stressed that it should be played with others.

Maybe it's because I'm more of an old school gamer, but I don't think lack of content is a good excuse to put a game out at full price. Multi-player has almost always been seen as additional content to the full package, not what should make it worth the price that it is. Same reason why I'm not fond of Halo 3. I can understand that the sole demand of some games, which is very sad to be honest, is just to play online. This is perfectly fine, but if the game is solely geared for online, or has limited single player content, it's not a full game.

Of course, I'm just simply ranting about this matter. Despite my criticism, I am rather looking forward to L4D2. I think it'll offer some interesting new aspects to the formula and looks to be improving a great deal of things. However, it also needs to be understood as to why people consider this to be more of L4D 1.5.

It doesn't seem like its worth the money in my opinion. I hated L4d

-gunmodels ripped from counterstrike source
-sounds ripped from Cs:S
-same 8 year old Steam engine
-textures ripped from CS:S and half-life

I know it is in fact a mod of half-life but I frankly am sick of the mods and want an actual game made from scratch

@`CrimsonCyanide: i completely agree with you when you say a game without a decent single player isn't truly a full game. But in many ways for me if left4dead 2 had a decent single player, it would ruin the game for me (personally). yes i know it makes no sense but due to the way they built the left4dead engine, even if it had a single player, i would always feel like its just a watered down experience of the multi-player. Lets take the opposite for example. How would i fit a decent multi-player mode in a game like...super mario brothers. Or dreamfall or fallout 2. In my mind i come up with amazing ideals that seams like they would work perfectly...in till i compare it to my single player experience. The would be ideals just seam like a shallow part that takes away from the game, not add to it.

Note that all that is above are opinions and are very very flawed. Fanboy i may be or not, but I'm more than damn willing to pay a small $60 to have a great time killing zombies with my friends, shallow gameplay and all. And i will love every second of it (~_~) emoticon

(yea i know super mario bros has a form of multi-player...and by the gods i hate it >.<)

I would love to hear your idea for Dreamfall. Personally, it always intrigued me on how someone could make a Adventure game into a multiplayer experience while being able to retain the great elements of the single player game.

As for L4D2, I do agree with you as well. Despite the fact that the game is built from the ground up for mostly multiplayer, it doesn't mean that they won't have single-player. I'm really hoping that they'll make improvements from their previous effort so that it'll be a much more rewarding single player.

I think they should just have updated the game engine, and let the modders bring some new ideas, like they did with HL2 and HL1, to me, what they're doing it's going to destroy Valve's image...
