After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

No, simply because personally I'm tired of Square milking FF7 like the cashcow it is. :| emoticon I wish they'd give some attention to other games of the series for once. And not just Nomura's other favourites, FF10 and FF8, either - there's the often-ignored FF9, not to mention 6 games that came before 7!

Also, FF7 is fine the way it is, I feel. The graphics are old, there are translation mistakes and typos, but that's the way the game is and that's how people remember and like it.

There are, or was back then, many rumours about a remake, and SE are aware of the desires of the fans, but they weren't that positive about it, because it will take much time and as you can see their hands are full with other projects, like ff13, versus 13, agito and also ff14 which is supposed to be a better version of ff11. If you ask me I think that a remake would make a great hit, and I would definitely buy the game and enjoy it 100%. If you want, you can log into

http://www.petitiononline.com/ff7remke/petition.html

you can write your name down and why you want a remake, it is said that all info goes directly to SE, just to show them how badly the fans want this to happen, it's a good start to try and convince them, although there is a possibility that nothing will happen, but it's worth a try, at least I think so. There still is much talk about the remake, so it's not out of sight out of mind, it's just that too many projects are active at this point and there is no time, but I do think that they are considering it.

Uh, no. I'd rather let that game die already. If they keep messing with it next thing we know they'll find a way to make Barret look like a woman too! /(oOo)\# emoticon And I agree with frostius, the game has been milked enough as it is, and each time it's been "pretty" graphics that lack substance. This in itself is funny considering how ridiculously big the fanbase has become for the game; you'd think they would take more pride in the title and really put some heart in to what they put out for it. I'm also disturbed by the fact that I saw the game on ebay for around $600 dollars brand new. Sorry, but NO game is worth that much, especially when it costs more than a PS3.

It's a classic, love it, remember it, but let it rest in piece.

Yes. YES! I’d gladly, remorselessly sell the organs of my most dearly loved ones on the black market if it meant I could have my FFVII remake. Like, I’d do dirty, disgraceful things that’d haunt me until my dying days to see FFVII on the PS3.

As awesome as I can imagine the graphics would be, I'd rather they didn't. It's a classic for a reason and doesn't really need a remake. I'd rather Square focused on the next Final Fantasy in the series.

People wanting a remake of this game are the example of the fans it has. FFVII was decent, but relatively boring. It was huge mainly due to the graphics at the time. One of the first 3d games to be released. So of course its only fans want a remake so that the graphics can be the best once again. This game, in my opinion, killed Final Fantasy. FFIX was the only good Final Fantasy to be released after it. Every other FF like 8, 10, and 12 were focused on graphics first, whiny emo loser main characters second and graphics again, just in case they might be able to squeeze any more graphic detail into the otherwise empty game. People need to stop killing the heart of the videogaming industry. Get over the obsession with graphics and start playing games for the content.

Nope. SE should spend the time creating new squels to the series instead.

I wouldn't mind. I'm just really curious how everything will look, that's the only reason I'd want them to make the remake. The gaming experience will definitely be different but I think it'll be in a good way. I think it'll be a good opportunity for the younger kids now who went straight into PS3 and never got to play the old version.

But I think they should focus on the coming sequels and games at the moment *cough*KH3*cough* xD

I do not want a remake of Final Fantasy 7.
First argument most people would say is...bring back Aerith...no she died...end of story. But yeah, I wouldn't want a remake of the game...Advent Children came out and that gave me some closure to the entire Final Fantasy 7 franchise.

Leave the original alone. That is why most of the fans love Final Fantasy 7. Should not be changed or remade.

I think a remake along the lines of a graphical update, better translation and other small additions would be great. I wouldn't want them to change the story at all though- maybe a few changes to make the progression from Before Crisis, Dirge of Cerberus and Crisis Core to FFVII better, but that would be as far as I'd go.

The ending to FFVII and the intro to Advent Children still intrigues me though- there's definitely room for a story to show how those scenes come about.

I think that 7 should be remade, but i'm bias because i was a fan of the series since i was a kid. though i think that if the modern graphics could pull the player into the game better than the original did. and square could use voice actors to bring the characters to life.(only if they boot the advent children cast, like chris patton for cloud/ scott mcneil as red/ ect.)

I've read the many of the reasons posted here (in this particular page of the thread ^^) why it should or shouldn't be remade.
While I agree the game has been milked like a cash cow by SE, it also has not been milked right(?)!
A remake would update the series graphics (story and chars being the main reason I like FFVII, there's no reason for a REMAKE - sequel being a different matter - if you're not going to update the graphics, as the original game already has dated ones for you to enjoy (XD) emoticon ) and would open up for bonus content (new materia, dungeons) and character development (vincent and yuffie as more than ghosts in cutscenes too).
Crisis Core tried to do that but failed (it is a good game though), basically because it doesn't have the same atmosphere as the original. That's why a remake is what I want!
Pristine story (and battle system), just bonus content and updated sound and graphics.
Also, there's need to point you wouldn't like a remake of FFVII if you didn't like the original one.

You mean there are games out there with content. I haven't seen any since Nintendo j/k Honestly I like FFVII because of the characters and story, I never played it when it was new and shiny. I played FFVII about the same time I played KH and only because I was like, who are all these wierdos, like Cloud and Yuffie. Seriously, I think it was great game with a great plot and I loved reading the cutscenes. Would I like a remake, maybe, I had a hard time with the graphics at first, so a remake would help that, but I'm not really sure it is such a good idea as the game would probably change.
