I have returned to this mmorpg recently after some tries at another games.
For some reason I cant find another mmorpg to replace it for good... guess it stays alive, and I feel like playing it still, after so much time beacuse it's one of the leading mmorpg styles, like WoW is the leading game of another such style, while other games are style followers of those greater, benchmarking games.

I still play the game (depending on how much time I can spare)
One of the things that will make you play an old game over again (or coming back) is the challenges and friends.

I play when I'm bored or when people I know call and say that they're on :D
Agreeing with ~Leirem. One of the reasons I still play is because of friends. This is one way I still keep in touch with them after I moved.

No. Never have and I never will.
I use to, about 3 years ago. The best thing that ever happened in this game is... is probably War of Emperium (or woe) and even that gets boring sometimes. PVP is fun every now and then, but that's all I could think of.
I personally still play this, specially after releasing the 3rd jobs. I'm currently raising my Guillotine Cross

I used to play RO, but when I realized how steep the leveling was, and how dedicated I would have to be at grinding to get all the items I was looking for, my interest took a complete nosedive. Not to mention that most of the people I met weren't very nice at all... though I met some cool people with goofy personalities, they were few and far between, and most people you would meet would just ask for free help or curse you out for not giving them something.
I got into the game mostly for the fun prospect of character building and the opportunity to meet and play with other people who I assumed would be interested in the anime/manga/gaming culture, but unfortunately these were denied by the gameplay and the actual online society I was faced with... needless to say I stopped playing. But I did have some fun, for what it's worth!

I've played this game off and on for 5 years running. I keep coming back for the challenge and friends as people above have mentioned. Also, the new content might have brought me back. For example, the release of 3rd jobs. After this classic game had finally released new classes, I could not hesitate to try them out and learn new strategies for PvP, as well as WoE. WoE has been my most favorite part of the game, as I love things that play like raids. Honestly, I think Ragnarok Online 2 is a huge disappointment, not only to me, but to many others. In my honest opinion, I think they ruined the game moving onto a whole new engine. They should have just focused on improving the original with new content. The graphics are quite nice already, I have no problems with them, but I feel they could work on better customization.
I think Rag O is good game, but i think i just continue on fps games, cuz i suck at mmorpg, i don't know why
my friend plays Rag o, he just got sin X so i think he will play even more than usual

I am a somewhat new fan to the game (was invited in 2007), having played until about two months ago, on and off. I was more of a quest maniac than one for PVP, and the only thing that kept me going back were my friends.
I haven't played much since because of school, though.
