When two units are at 110 will, you are able to unite. Just set the units one square away. Combining with the same type of units unlock stronger support abilities.
I've been playing supper robot wars for over 5 years. never got into any OG series, but played every single other ones one gameboy, gameboy color to game boy advanced

Super Robot Wars Original Generation on GBA was my favourite game on gba and the first one I could really enjoy thanks to translation by Atlus (Only SRW game ever officialy translated :( . Earlier I didn't understand anything and only played those games beacuse of my love of mechs. I already have OGs but playing witchout understending isn't as great and only thanks to my earlier play of gba OG I know what is going on.

Not bad, but the available mecha doesn't seem to outrun that of their previous title like that Super Robot Taisen Alpha 3 which i still think owns them all. although, some new features of OG seems interesting for me. though i'm waiting for a secret mecha or a more astonishing animation or final attack like Getter Jin's.
still, this is worth every penny and the fun won't stop for all Super Robot War title.

Well, Cybuster is one of the best out their but there are other originals that are pretty much competitive and very effective to use. SRX could be merge by putting R-1, R2 and R-3 close to each other and then choose the merge option on either which of the mecha. but i don't like SRX, looks like a mecha-ET to me
my favorite is the once enemy Astranagant and its evolve form in Taisen Alpha 3

At last I Just finish OG1 on SRW OGs
But still it is one of the strongest mecha
Especially the one sure shot kill attack with R-GUN Powerd
I'm playing OG2 waiting to see Compatible Kaiser
The original pilot of Compatible Kaiser sure is weird
It even include Ultraman and Kamen Rider
But because the licensing issues they only include Fighting Roar as the pilot
But still it is one of the strongest mecha

I forgot to tell you, you need to go on Ryusei path to make the SRX formation fixed otherwise it won't be forever.

Still of all their series, i still like Taisen Alpha 3. also the first Alpha in PS2. then MX is cool as well as the others cause it includes other famous Mecha's. OG, OG2 and OG2.5 is pretty fun also even though most of them i don't recognize.
the OG system also has been given new features that improves gameplay. and yeah, OG2.5 is addition to them. but i'm still hoping there would be another alpha near the future.

I´ve been playing since the first Super Robot wars for Playstation 2. I remember descovering them in one issue of one of the spanish magazines talking about rare japanese videogames and when I saw the promotion video of Super Robot Wars Alpha 2 and it was truly amazing so, with a little effort I finally buyed and enjoyed playing it. I don´t know japanese but I think the system is easy and quick to understand.
So I started buying another Super Robot wars games like:
-Super Robot wars alpha 2
-Super Robot wars Impact
-Super robot wars scramble commander
-Super robot wars MX
-Super Robot wars Alpha 3
-And finally: Super Robot Wars OG
And for game boy advance I played to other SRW and the original OG games.

Oh, that is confusing. can you describe which character you are referring. the SRW: OG ps2 includes new character that came from old SR in NES. other else were from the time SRW started and compiled up to the latest.
but if you can give specific for the character, maybe we can trace where he/she first came out with the mecha of course.
