Crysis

This year i wish Crysis for christmas. My parents are not very happy about this.
I hope my PC is good enough for this game. Of course I wished for the Special Edition. I like OST Music.

Crysis is a really heavy and extremely demanding game. So, if you're hoping to play the game with max graphics at a high resolution, then you better have a really really really powerful comp ready for it! ^^
I've played the SP and Beta demos of the game.

Err lets just say i wanted it so much that i friggin had dreams about sneaking around and meleeing people with strength mode.
The day before it came out, i went to walmart and got it before midnight :D. that night, the phrases "cloak engaged" and "energy critical" was burned into my brain.
My favoriate way to kill multiple people is to have the FY71 set up with the tactical attachment - Shoot one guy, then switch to the SCAR and then attack the guy before he shoots you. After he's dead, run over to the unconcious guy and melee him in strength mode to save bullets.
Or if my cover is blown ill go into cloak mode and run in the middle where everyone gathers, let loose a grenade and just fuckin take off! I come back to where i was and find 10 bodies :D
i played it like crazy the first couple days, but then when i got to the giant boss fight on the carrier there is this...i dunno...a program error? but the game will crash while im fighting it.
i dont know how to beat the boss >_> to somehow avoid the crash. I even set everything to low, use stock clocks on CPU and video card, play in DX9, and it will still crash...
i havent really played the game again because ive been playing UnrealTournament3. Another reason is because even when i play on "high" shader settings itll only give me about 20-25fps at a small resolution...and i really hate to play this game on low settings because its just not the same.
Playing on medium plays great but the game just doesnt look as good.
the biggest tips i would say for more FPS is to set Object and shadow quality to LOW.
low object quality gets rid of a lot of debris, leaves, grass, on the floor so it frees up alot of memory.
low shadows means no shadows, if you can live with that. The game seems alot brighter without shadows tho.
I was playing this a while back and this is the first game on my new computer that gave me the "Low Virtual Memory" popup...i was liek WTF? you serious? I have 2GB and a 512MB video card!! > < fucking vistaaaaaa
in a way, im kinda disappointed. It made me doubt the performance of my computer for a while. my pC is Something that i built by hand and this game is laughing at me.
but then that disappointment went away when i realized that i can play Unreal Tournament 3 at 60 fps on all high >_> somethings not right.

Lol, the same is happening with me. Crysis is like the only game which lags on my system! >____<
I've read some reviews and screenshots about Crysis, and as a fan of modern-day first person shooters, I'm not really into the whole futuristic thing, but the fact that Crysis puts a lot of stress on computers really interests me, since I really wanna find out how well my comp can perform on it.
Just chek out the single player demo at gamershell.com
on Very High Shaders, its mostly the friggin realistic depth of field blurs that will get yah. Oh and the god rays, pew pew!
at times, theres this slight grainyness that almost makes the game look like a moving photo.
my mouth literally dropped when i played the zero gravity level.
here are some screen shots of my pc getting owned by crysis..on a low ass resolution. [FPS in top right corner]

I just started playing this game last week and so far the game is running smoothly with the settings I currently have at 1600x1200 Resolution. It gets a little laggy sometimes when I get to congested areas.
I was extremely excited for this game prior to it's release. Upon downloading and playing the single player demo, I opted to not buy this game, because it runs absolutely horrid on my computer. It's just too demanding a game for my computer, and I don't have the financial means necessary to buy a new computer. Oh well.
Got it, just playing the awesome campaign and blowing up some north corean dudes, bad for their brains =D
If anyone can get past the giant spider/alien boss on the ship, plz let me know how you beat the daym thing.
This game is amazing, period. The game "mood" and imigery are a work of art. The game play is really well designed.
You need a decent system to run it.
CPU: Core 2 Duo, 3Ghz
Ram: 2Gigs Patriot (best ram ever)
GPU: 8800GTX
average frames on Crysis: 30fps >.<

Bought this game, played it and the only is "WOW!"
Unless you're willing to play it with low graphic settings(which will look like any other ordinary FPS) if not don't even touch this game for a couple of years. It'll rip your computer apart with it's requirements. Indeed, it is a graphical breakthrough in gaming, but I think it's still a traditional FPS with some additional power-ups. Anyway, this game will drown you in SUPERBLY detailed jungles, EXCELLENT shadows and lightings! It is never too late to start saving and preparing sothat when you're ready you can feel the full blast of this game!Don't think that it'll be outdated when you buy it later, cause' I think this game is going to hold it's position for quite some time until another game takes over.

Crysis is a great game! graphic and physic effects are just awesome!!
but... the system requirements are too high!! You could play it on low/medium with a mid-range pc. Very High setting (with DX10, Vista) is only playable with a monster PC...

I haven't played Crysis myself, but i did watch my roommate play it for about 2 hours, and i gotta say: It's hands down the best looking FPS on the market. Of course, you already knew that, but to see it looking so good in the middle of a huge firefight is really a treat. I asked if the trees were destructible, so he shot one and it splintered, then fell over! Naturally, all kinds of buildings, vehicles, and people are destructible, and the game never lagged or stopped looking awesome. He has an Nvidia 8800 GTX and i think 2 GB of RAM, and several other top-of-the-line stuff in his desktop.
