Low grades?what to say to your parents?
Ok so you have low grades.. what do you do?just listen to your parents or explain your side? what if they dont listen then?saying your too pathetic?ive been wondering how this friend of mine goes along well with low grades, and how she creates many excuses for her parents. so you?what do you do??

Back in grade school...
i would stay quiet while my parents lectured me about the importance of studying and blah blah, they would compare me some of my friends who did as equally as bad but my parents don't and won't believe me, that just pisses me off inside...afterwards i would lock myself in my room and watch anime or play games until midnight to relieve my stress...then i would 'study' a bit
nowdays my parents really don't need to see all the bad grades that i get since i am in college but they are expecting good grades

Hmmmmm my parents never lecture me because of bad grades in exams..they do but it is less than 1 minute..that is because i rarely do bad in my exams...and since im the youngest in the family everyone spoil me.. A LOT!!

I barley get bad grades in school (well... bad enough for my parents to say anything), and even if I do have a really crappy grade and I just tell them my teacher doesn't like me (which is true for this one teacher)

I pull that one all the time XD. Anyhow, I usually get good grades, yet half way through the quarter, they send home a interm report, I sometimes there like a D or something, but I bring them up to a B usually so I dont get introuble much.

I always get the maximum grades in the subjects that are important to me. To those of which I care not for, however...
Personally, I'm satisfied. I do not need their approval. Be happy with what you have, or you'll lose sight of that which you have yet to gain despite its proximity to the very entity that is you.

They don't really care 'bout my grades for as long as I keep them from dropping, but when I get a really bad grade I usually say it was too hard, I didn't understand or something like that, so I'm basically telling the truth. Better tell the truth earlier and get less lecturing than tell it later and get lectured for your grades and lying earlier

Usually when I get bad grades my dad talks to me about the class that I got it in. He doesn't come right out and say ask it, but from the discussion we've had I can tell that he tries to determine whether or not I did my best or not. If I did he generally leaves it alone, but if he thinks that I didn't he usually gets mad (and I can't blame him for it).
The way I view school is that whether or not I understand the material is much more important that the letter grade I get in a subject. If I miss a pass by a small margin I view it the same way as if I had passed by a small margin. In a way my dad does as well...but he likes to pretend he doesn't.

Well use to get a grade below average
, and id jst tricks them into thinking something
i dont like to complain or make up an excuse, and even if i do, they wouldn't listen
like i get my grades once every quarter and id jst say, its jst half the grades for the entire semester

My parents are like ALWAYS pissed off with me for my grades. The fact is some subjects are so boring, I just can't help doing other things than studying them! I DON'T CARE ABOUT MATHS, leave me alone. :°D

Yup maths[geometry] i these days i get low grades in geometry!but this semster ive been really happy bcoz our geometry has algebra in it and imgodd in algebra and really bad in geometry!!in terms of that SAS and ASA etc. they pissed me off.

I'm kind of lucky sometimes to have parent who don't speak English. So I just play it off and told them that it's an elective class. Like Spanish, gym, art, or music. They believe me... amazingly. xDD

ask if I myself am happy with my low grades or do I want to change something.
if I don't care, then why should my mother?
see, nobody ever asks for school certificates in our country, so the only person I have do pay attention for in school is me, and the only person I have to proof something is also just me.
I don't care what anybody else thinks about my grades, as long as I can live with it.
of course, sometimes my mother tells me to try harder, but that's just not possible sometimes. but I try to do my best, so I can live with low grades, too.
