Do you know about Tales of series from Namco?
Here's the list :
Tales of Destiny 1 - PS - Char : Cless, Rutee, and talking sword(?)
Tales of Eternia (TODestiny2, the english ver.) - PS - Char : Reid, Farah, Kelee, Meredy
Tales of Destiny 2 (TODestiny3, english ver) - PS2 - its a sequel of ToD 1
Tales of Symphonia - PS2 - dunno much
Tales of Legendia - PS2 - Char : Senel, Shirley, etc
Tales of The World - GBA (or PSP i forgot)
Tales of Eternia/Destiny2 (once again) - PSP version
Tales of Eternia (again?!) online version

This game have 1 similarity... It's the battle system. Real-time, and linear. I love when it come to real time battles.
From all the games i listed above, i only played ToEternia (eng ver.) and ToLegendia.

I've only played Phantaia (on SNES Emulator, downloading the OVAs right now), Destiny and Symphonia, being Symphonia and Phantasia my favorites
Symphonia is only for Gamecube, the PS2 version is only out in Japan.

I played Tales of Symphonia on GameCube. I have no idea what country your in so I can't give you advice on where to find it. Symphonia is availible for PS2 too. I think its a great game. I wish I had a PS2 so I could play the other games.
I played Symphonia, and I loved it. Story line was interesting, I would say. Some of the world or just regular cutscene could use some working, but it really didn't bother me much. And yeah I think Symphonia is only for GC in english, it's JP in PS2 but I think it has more anime fmv in it.

Tales series are great, love the story and the battle system is awsome. only thing i wish is for the monsters to adjust to your level so when you beat the game you can still go around killing stuff. no fun when you kill everything in under 2 hits after you beat the game once T-T
also, since the story is, for the most part, very good I can play it many times, i think i'm getting close to 200 hours on symphonia now ><

I've played tales of symphonia and legendia, i liked the battle system in symphonia but didn't like it that much in legendia, and symphonia had a better story line to it then legendia, but overall legendia was a good game, just that symphonia is better then it.

I've played Symphonia, but sadly I haven't played others. The battle system is quite cool, and I love the game alot. Best part: Collete loses her voice!! Yay!

I've played the Destiny ones and the first one was so much better then the second (if you take out the better graphics fro the 2nd)
The story was just so good. and when you thought is was over, BAM! you find out that is was only the half way mark. Sooo Good. I recommend it to any RPG fan. Even better is that Namco put charactors for all the tales series into their NamcoXcapcoM game. Despite it being hard to understand the story being it is an import, i still can't put the game down.

You're missing Tales of Rebirth and Tales of the Abyss for PS2, which I hear are by far better than Legendia. I'm disappointed that they have allowed Legendia to get outside of Japan and not the other two. I was planning on buying Legendia but I have other games that take priority, and with the recent bashing it's been getting from Tales fans, I'm not too sure I will be buying it until years later.

2 days ago i have bought tales of phantasia on game advance, i already played it on super famicom, it is my favorite game with FF7, the battle mode is amazing, so are the characters.
tales of eternia is great too!!
i didn't play the others, its sad that consoles change so quickly, i can't follow this saga.

I have play ToD2, ToR, ToL, and ToA,,,, from my opinion i think ToD2 and ToA the best,,, for ToD2 the monster are very strong when you play in unknown mode,,, so making it quite a challenge,,, and with ToA, the graphic looks good and good control
So... there will be no Symphonia, Rebirth, and Abyss, english ver. for PS2?

It's a good thing to have an attitude of "never judge a book by its cover" when it comes to these "Tales of..." games. Although Namco wasn't really creative when it came to naming their titles, most of the Tales games I played are unique in each their own way. Despite similar titles, the games themselves are totally different in terms of gameplay and graphics in some parts.
