After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

Ok I've seen all the trailors, watched the E3 videos and understand the reasons for Nintendo choosing the name.
Quote:
"Wii will break down that wall that separates video game players from everybody else.

Wii will put people more in touch with their games … and each other. But you’re probably asking: What does the name mean?

Wii sounds like “we,” which emphasizes this console is for everyone.
Wii can easily be remembered by people around the world, no matter what language they speak. No confusion. No need to abbreviate. Just Wii."

I've come to like the name now, but whats your opinion?

I think wii is a good name...for all the reasons you've said. Allot of jokes have been made around the net about the name but I think it really shows the direction nintendo is moving towards.

It's a nice title, easier to say then "Revolution". Also instead of the title saying how original it is, it shows how it can bring people to play games together, with the name "Wii". So I like it.

[color=red]I Agree I really like the name, the proyect name (revolution) was good but... that was only the name of the proyect only that, if you like the other name well you must get over it.

[color=green]I'm not a fan boy from hell of nintendo I'm just a "Gamer" who like all the new kind of game play, and I also like the 360 & ps3 but ... the wii:

[color=blue] WII WILL ROCK YOU.

P.D. I'm from Mexico If You Wanna know.

I gotta admit, when I first heard they were going to call Nintendo's next console the "Wii", I thought either it was a huge joke, or else a Japanese Marketing team somewhere was committing hari kiri...

Now I've actually grown to like the name, in spite of myself. It really is powerfully simple, and since such a controversy has already surrounded the name, it's become more widely known and thus more acceptable.

Besides, I doubt many people are so shallow as to base whether or not to buy a new console solely on the console's name... if that were the case, I have a feeling a lot fewer XBoxes would be selling! I thought for sure they'd change its name, but it seems simplistic names don't hurt sales at all.

So I say, bring on the Wii, the sooner the better! ^__^

Well Revolution, was an awesome name that sparked thoughts into peoples heads as to how nintendo is going to pull it off. It made the game system sound like it is going to change the world no matter what people will do. But the name was a bit weird, and because nintendo is trying to get more people to play games, a revolution usually makes things more complicated and such. So if people didnt play games befor the revolution why should they now. Wii is a more reasonible name, because of it souly trying to include every one. They are both good names, and im glad that they were bothed used.

I don’t like both names, revolution is bad because the console has not the top graphics of this generation, its not a true revolution, just gameplay is. I don’t see sony putting the name wii in any of their consoles, but its normal Nintendo have that type of names.

Wii is such a totally stupid name. When I first heard about it, I thought it was a joke it was that lame. Nintendo should've stuck with the Revolution. It's not exactly a great name, but at least it's not the sound someone makes if you jab them in the but with a cattle prod.

Revolution all the way. The "Wii" sounds stupid and also sounds like "weak" which is bad. Nintendo should of kept the project name instead of changing it to something a lot of the fans don't like. But... I'll still probably buy one anyway, regardless of the name.

When I first heard that the name for the console would bo Wii I laughed for about 5 minutes.
then I realised that it wasn't a joke and got a little worried accualy...
so I started to look into it a little more and then I saw the logo... and it was just awesome...
So...
I don't realy know in this case...
Revolution sounds way cooler than Wii, but the Wii-logo is way awesome...
So I realy don't care which name they use as long as the logo's awesome. ^^

Personally I prefer the name "Revolution". It not only fits the system better but the name "Wii" might actually discourage some people from buying it. In any case, it doesn't change the fact that it's most likely going to be the best next-gen console. I'm still buying my copy.

Wii or Revolution...
I personally prefer Wii, but something I have to say:
no matter the name, it will totally rock!!
I mean, I really don't care how it is gonna be called if I can play all those
excellent Nintendo games (Brawl and Twilight Princess FTW!!)
and in the end, only n00b people would not buy for it's name
