DragonForce

Hey, have any of you come across this one crazy metal band that is up and coming called DragonForce? If you're into crazy technical leads, insane drumming, and 80's vocal style (eh...maybe a miss?), this band is totally worth checking out... Try starting out by looking up "Dragonforce" and/or their song "Through the Ashes and Flames" on youtube and prepare to be blown away...
I am probably hyping up something that most people aren't into anyway nowadays, but this band just absolutely blew me away when I saw their vid on youtube...so check it out and let's hear some feedback!

These guys are awesome, guitars are fast as lightning (which is good!) and they just come up brilliant riffs everytime. They've been around for a while, but they've gained popularity recently (in the UK/Europe at least). And the tag "Extreme Power Metal" fits them perfectly ^^

Oh yes! DragonForce is really, really great metal! I love the brilliant harmonies, leads and the songwriting in general. Definetly a band not to miss if you´re into classic metal and even the new wave of bands using these classical metal "values" - think of Avenged Sevenfold and the like. Not the metalcore stuff but the classic way

agreed, I hope bands like A7X and DragonForce will bring back respect to metal without the stigma it faces today and do away with the subpar "metal" that exists today; metal "values" you say, huh. I never thought of putting it that way, nicely done.
I prefer Rhapsody, who are rather similar to DragonForce, but even better in my opinion.. I call them the heir of DragonForce, and rightfully they should be with their amazing, thematic songs. They recently had to rename themselves "Rhapsody of Fire" because of copyright issues. You should check them out if you enjoy DragonForce.

Oh yes! Rhapsody´s really good. Very bombastic stuff, they call their style "Symphonic Hollywood Metal"! Rhapsody have been in the metal scene for many years and I think they could be a main influence for DragonForce. There´s a song they made together with the great and famous Christopher Lee which was released in about four or five languages! Brilliant stuff if you ask me.
That they have to rename themselves because of CR issues sounds like a bad joke to me as they have been around for years... but these are the modern times, right..?!?!?

Actually its call 'through the fire and the flames', but yea the band are pretty dam cool, they really have that 80's heavy metal feel to them
I love Dragonforce! And my favorite song is Through the fire and the flames. Power metal is such a nice genre, but I have problems with finding anything else. I've heard that Falconer should be power metal, and it makes sense when I hear it, but I'm probably wrong -_-
