After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

Yea i would like to know as well, mostly cause i wanna convert some dvr-ms so i can upload em to youtube, and to avi so they dont take up as much room(1.63 gig for a 30 min show). Right now wut im gunna use is AvivoXCode, which you cant download off of ATi site anymore(need an ATI graphics card to use) so you have to get it off torrents, just search it up on torrentspy, and ive posted instructions there for it that seemed to have worked.

Well, I use huffuv for my projects as rough compression. It is lossless(not completely i think, more like 98%), so you can keep the quality. Then you can use whatever format you want for the second compression. I do all of my compressions in Vdub, tho it is not so great i heard. If you want to convert someting, I recommand you to do it manually instead of one step conversion. Usually automatic converters give you lousy quality. Get all the codecs you need and work with it.

I'm keeping track of MMConvert, which is an open source media convertor found on SourceForge. It just went out of alpha and is now in beta, so not all formats/conversion features are supported, but for those that are, it's incredible. Last time I used it, it doesn't work with .avi files (unless it's just my encoder/decoder that's screwing up). So until this thing is fully working, it's okay.

For my all-around video converting, I'm using CinemaForge. It's awesome and it works with most video formats. This is the software I use to convert downloaded YouTube .flv files to working .avi files. It may or may not be what you're looking for, but it wouldn't hurt to give it a try nonetheless.

Do You Know if NVidia has a similar app for working on vids?

I found a program called DVRMSToolbox. It says it will convert DVR-MS files to MPEG2, WMV and WMA. It also has a commerical cutting feature which I have no idea how it works. You might want to check it out and see if it works or not.

Well, if you get a key for (which I'm sure you could and if not, it's pretty cheap), I'd HIGHLY recommend the Xilisoft Video Converter. It can convert almost any video format into any other video format (Divx, Mpeg1, Mpeg2, Mpeg4, AVI, Xvid, mov, VCD, VOB, RM, ASF, 3GP, and now even h264, along with others) with rather impressive quality, not to mention you can choose all the little technical options that not all converters let you choose like specific bitrates and sound frequencies. Also, I've used it to convert audio formats since it has that built in too, (wav, mp3, mp4a, ogg, wma, etc.), and if you give it a video file and tell it to rip to an audio file it'll rip the audio from the video into the particular format. It's pretty convenient.

I swear by xilisoft video converter, it's easy to use, yet allows for easy customization, I just wish there was something silimar to it for linux.
Basically the whole xilisoft line is great. I use xilisoft mp4 converter to encode video for my archos av500, and it comes with a preset for it already!
