I started WoW 2 years ago when the first Beta came out. I fell in love with it. I've always loved the Warcraft universe [despite the fact that I cannnot play the strat games worth a crap].
When the game first went live I began a Night Elf and made it to lvl41 but had to quit because it began to get TOO addicting and I did'nt spend any time with my wife.
One year later I felt I had matured enough to try again. I made it to lvl42 with an Undead and realized I was much happier playing Horde than Alliance. Felt the addiction returning but not as badly since I had an "already been there, done that attitude. I did'nt RP at all this go around. I just played that game and tried my hand at PVP [got stomped ALOT]. Finally I grew bored with all the idiocy and lack of helpful people on the server I was on and quit again.
When the BC expansion came out I decided to give the game one last go. If I decided to quit this time it would be for good. Now I'm a 36 Blood Elf and I'm MUCH happier with the game. Better people on the new server and I've finally managed to MANAGE my play time so even my wife does'nt get mad at me. So in a nut shell the game IS alot of fun, but the addiction to it always brings even the quitters back. Blizzard made some good crack here. The challange isn't the game itself, but how you control the addiction once you're in.
Makes me wish I took the BLUE PILL.

I used to have a level 60 night elf rogue on Boulderfist. I had full tier 1 and most tier 2, combat specced. This all was pretty good back then, which was almost a year ago. I sold the account, however, and profited immensely (sold it for $400).

I got WoW since its release a long time ago and still playing and loving it!

I really don't like WoW at all, for two reasons:
1.) I've lost friends to WoW, due to their addiction.
2.) Screw WoW, give me Starcraft 2.

I used to play WOW i stopped shortly after because the people in the game are annoying and i just did not understand the game at all and yeah i understand the addiction part i have'nt talked to a friend who plays it in months..

So anyone got the Burning Crusade and reached Level 70? I bet theres heaps of you out there. Haven't played WoW in ages and I can't wait to get back to my Rogue!

I reached 70 with my human warlock. I'm enjoying it a lot, well at least i was until i had to stop all of it for exams. The game is insanely addictive, so im not surprised some of you said you hate it.

Are any of you arena maniacs here? I havn't had the chance to do serious version since i froze my account a few weeks ago.

I quit before the expansion came out, I think my account has a 60 NE Warrior, a few warlocks under 50, a few pallys under 40, and one hunter at 22. I wish I picked the hunter from the beginning.

Played for about 1 1/2 years and dang, that game was addicting. Raiding is horrible and its just like working at a job. Your expected to get on and commit countless hours with 40 other people. WoW ruins lives and I'm so happy I quit.

Played wow long enough pwned enough and now with exp its boring as hell btw ~DarkWyn ,horde.. is mostly pvp and fun better pvp racials.. you said [despite the fact that I cannnot play the strat games worth a crap] ..u missed the best from w3 by playn unskilled custom games like dota.. dota is fun enough.. but if you got some real micro skills sc and w3 can be more fun especially as team, remember this .. wow=0 skill.. like any mmorpg i pwn evr1 with my lock/rogue the same way over and over again and yes i say its damn easy,screw wow screw mmorpgs.. give more strats and skilled games

I played it for about a month, then got bored of its "kill x number of pigs" quests. Even the other quests are some way related to the legendary "kill the pigs" quest, like, you need x number of items and.. oh.. you get them by, yes you knew it, by killing pigs..

It is the same over and over again. It was fun for the beginning but then, blah. Waste of money, really.
