Hahahahahaha, stupid question! AMD is the best and for ever!
AMD FX 60 dual core (2800Mhz) Who can beat that?
Memory controller in all amd processors, for games AMD is the best.

From my knowledge, Intel if you're going mobile, AMD if you're gaming.

Dunno, to me all are about the same - differences are negligable within the same price ranges. looking at costs - I know AMD puts out some super dooper high end chips that are also super dooper expensive! - the average computer buyer is not going to spend $10,000 on a friggin' home computer! and have it be obsolete in a year...
I think those chips are more for gov sponsored hardcore scietific research projects etc.
anyway, whatever you buy will be out of date within 3 months anyway so I wouldn't invest too much money in anything in the first place.

AMD hands down; Intel's been doing shady deals left and right to shut AMD out of business. Sneaky bastards...
AMD. PCs are intended for universal use and saying "Intel if you do a lot of X" is just deceiving, thus the universally good Athlons are a cheaper and more efficient option. The same goes pretty much with ATI and nVidia, with ATI being more expensive and performs worse (according of the reviews).
I've been using AMD myself, but as was said before Intel has some advantages in the laptop market. Intel is going to release their new products shortly however, so I'm taking a wait and see attitude before I do any upgrading. Overall though, I would have to say that when it comes to what you can actually notice in real world usage, the product offerings the differences between product offerings of a given price range are minimal. There is no real difference in most office applications and 68 vs. 70 fps in a game simply isn't noticable.
I find that AMD's are more cost effective for pretty much the same power as an Intel Chip that would more.
AMD Athlon 64 FX-57 at 2.8 Ghz with hypertransport *drools* just cant be compared with intel
i see the majority of peole are goin for AMD WOOT WOOT!

I have always liked Intel chips, but then again I have never tried AMD so I can't really say which one I like best. I'm not a gamer (on a pc, I leave that to my consoles) so I probably wouldn't benefit from AMD's top of the line processors. Anyway, I don't really have a choice with my Mac since the Intel chips are phasing out the PowerPC chips. But for my PC, who knows, maybe an AMD is in the future. I am really looking forward to the next generation chips that both Intel and AMD are going to be bringing out. (sorry I broke the AMD fan fest)
Oh and this video always scared me to get an AMD..

I used to use intel,so i prefer intel then amd.
people say amd is faster, but the chips is too hot.
but amd is cheaper then intel.

Hot AMD chips are old news. For the last several years the PIV prescot ran much hotter than the crop of AMD 64 chips.
I think AMD is teh shit if it is for gaming, that's my opinion.
Amd for me. no contest. good thing amd now addressed their old nemesis: heating issues, because of the nanometer technology.
intel just plain sucks because they're so expensive. only thing i noticed, based from my personal experience, amd chips tend to get busted faster than intel. maybe this is only true for old processors. right now, i just got a sempron64 so i'm checking out how long this baby will last. i still have my old P3 1.2ghz pc and it's still usable for basic applications. bought that year 2001. my previous amd pc had athlon xp 2500 barton and it only lasted for 2 years.
don't get me wrong, i do not overclock (just in case you think that).
but regardless of that, i prefer performance over durability. anyway, processors get old as the months pass by...
